    @Persephone Emerald Just an idea...can you email or text the plumber and ask him to remind you of the things that need to be done, then send it with his name on it to your landlady? Maybe she'll read it and take it seriously, or call him to sort it out?

    I like AI art I think it's great that you can enter keywords and be really precise, and actually get an image of what you're thinking, even if you're not a skilled artist. Some of them can be really spooky Though it can take a while to get a decent image if you're on a cheaper laptop...( ETA Stable Diffusion is really good) When people were really into DALL E Mini a few months ago, there were some funny ones...I wish I'd saved one I saw on Twitter called "Donald Trump dancing in a Bollywood movie", which made me lol...so it's not all beautiful classical pictures

    I think the one thing that shocked me was sweet tea - I honestly couldn't drink more than one sip, it put my teeth on edge 😬 I can only speak for New Orleans, but I thought the food there was amazing, like pecan pie, fried alligator, gumbo and jambalaya I don't think there are any cajun restaurants over here.

    My peeve today is moths 👎 Is the South recognised as the best place for food in America? The best dessert I EVER had was chocolate and bourbon pecan pie 😍 Yum yum, pig's bum In the UK though, pie normally means something savoury, like a meat or fish or cheese filling... My favourite cheesecake is salted caramel

    I am writing this from 2027, using the new Samsung time travel app I can confirm that Lindal and Sid CHEATED and rigged the 2022 SL election together! 😡...but in 2026 they were impeached ✊ And Sid is now president of Meta! But I won the 2026 election fairly and am now president of SL, so be very careful what you write about me because I will deal with you in a few years...also, chocolate cake now costs £100 for a slice, so I will send everyone a peanut on their rezday instead 🥜 ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

    There was one time I was with American and Brazilian friends and thought it was around 2am, then realised the birds were singing and it was bright outside and that I had stayed up until 8am I think that time was around 14 hours online, including Skyping with them the evening before Building makes time whizz by...I would sometimes realise it was midnight and it felt like I'd only just started, an hour ago...at 7pm! Also, most club hosting jobs I had started at 2pm SLT, which is 10pm UK time, so sets would end at midnight, and then someone would want to TP you somewhere...I often thought "OK, I will stay on for another half hour..." and then it was suddenly 2.30am 🥺 Looking back, it's a bit nuts...but it didn't seem so uncommon at the time?

    I'm sure there was a site called Metaverse TV, which was all SL content, around 2010 or 2011...I remember watching a SL fashion show on it because someone I knew was on it, but it was very laggy (more than SL!)

    (I was going to say this if Garnet's thread hadn't been locked...) I'm actually not a monarchist, it was just her...I liked the fact everyone was into glamorous superstars, but our sovereign was this small shy woman walking around in a head scarf and gardening coat, with her dogs jumping all over her 🙂 And how she looked totally bored talking to politicians but cheery and laughing when she went to the races...but she was so iconic. Like I said in the music thread, I can't imagine her not being on banknotes or on TV every Christmas anymore, it feels weird My peeve today is trying to use a touch pad with a plaster on one fingertip 😬
