Does anybody know why some items which play sounds "such as birds, waves etc" suddenly stop, whilst others continually play? Do I need to do something? I've a few sounds on my Cafe land which I want visitors to hear. It seems the birds "circle emitter" only starts when i look at it lol. Very strange. Solutions pls! And thank you BTW

Does such a thing exist, like an APP or hud or something where you can talk and it appears as text? Many a time I have not wanted to voice but been walking around and had to stop to type what I wanted, press enter, then had to carry on. Thoughts?

Surely, you must remember the days of "Millpond" and other well known places? SL has really changed since 2008, the look of it is really much more realistic. Barking mad haha, you are not alone there. I once was on "voice" all night with a girl in another country, we woke up together still on voice. It was surreal, but kind of nice! I have never done a treasure hunt believe it or not!

Am seeking a drinks vending machine that has a humming noise like a fridge. I recall seeing one before that let you pay 1 linden and then a cup appeared, some ice cubes and then a drink. If anybody knows of this one, please do tell! Have tried scouting all over marketplace but without luck. As i recall, it had "mountain dew" as one of the options, or "slushie" or something like that.

What is the employment market like in SL. I speak to a good few people who appear to feel their job is a "chore" and not much fun, but its a good way to get some lindens to pay their rent. I want to find out what peoples are up to and the kind of things they do. Are nightclub hosts the most popular role when working for others. Of course, the self employed must be those creating and selling things? Ps I want to be polite and respond to those who take the time to comment on this chat, but not sure how to do that, it seems to create a new post each time. If somebody could let me know pls, thank you!

I wonder what is the average number of hours people use SL for each day. For me, when I am really into building and sorting out projects in here, the most was 8 hours straight, the average is for three or so hours so far. I have heard of so many people sitting up till 4am and so on. Is this common practice? A good few people work in SL too, so I imagine this adds the hours up. What drives you in here the most, has it ever been too much, or not enough? Love to hear what drives people the most in SL.
