Yeah I'd agree there, that whole experiment is a proven failure and body huds really need the normal alpha options. Even if creators were including the alphas it would make for very messy and potentially confusing folders.

Yes please! There should be a wide range of body types available and it just doesn't seem like there is for men at all. I want more realistically proportioned men!

Can't see why it wouldn't work if you have a good, non-interrupted Starlink connection. It's all latency and working well Starlink provides a suitably low-latency internet connection, on par with most other wireless broadband products. It does seem to be quite sensitive though, I don't have it but have been following other peoples experience of it and it does seem like some struggle to get an uninterrupted view of the sky, it can be easily blocked by trees etc. There's also an issue of cell congestion in the USA but it doesn't apply everywhere and even where it does isn't so much of a latency issue but overall bandwidth issue, shouldn't affect SL too much if at all.

I think this is a great idea, MP really needs much more granular categories to help people find specific things. I can only imagine the pain you must be having trying to find something like that, really your only option is to click through a zillion pages and hope not to miss something.

There is no solution really, I do sometimes use the unavailable auto-respond though. Sometimes I wish there was a 'stealth' login option, not for nefarious reasons but it would avoid an extra step and avoid any potential for people to get upset by an autoresponse.

Does anyone have a video demonstration of this "advanced 3d world view"? I've seen Speedlight running but it was just a text client with a basic map, if they've added an actual 3D viewer feature that is interesting.

Yeah the value could be huge for those makers that support lesser used bodies still, I've always liked seeing one of my favorite creators (Dolly Daydream) still supporting Tonic Fine even though I don't use it. It's not like they're under false impressions either, having some hard numbers to support their continued commitment to more niche bodies might help them keep supporting it.

I like the idea. I have benefited from having multiple bodies included before, it is nice to be able to switch bodies and have a bunch of clothing already in my inventory but it would still be good to be able to buy more fat packs or for the price to be reduced by having the choice of bodies instead. I can also see how makers would like it, it's hard sales data on the bodies they should be supporting. So yeah, I recognize there is advantages (lower prices) and disadvantages, there could also still be the option of buying a pack with multiple bodies at a higher price too but of course this might make for some complicated vendors. For me the advantage outweighs the disadvantage though.

Yeah that would be great. The add on works perfectly and I've had no issues but still, it should be a whole separate body imo.

I've always wondered if a bot service exists for this... I know I'd pay 10L for a bot to show up on command and sit in my boat

It's a good point, you can probably switch to Maitreya or Legacy since most people likely already own those sizes if they've bought clothes in the past however many years.

My only wish for it would be a bit neater HUD... it's all split amongst three separate huds, it's just a little messy. Of course you don't need to do a whole lot of messing with two of the huds once you've set it up. Maybe clickable functionality for show/hide as well, it's kinda annoying to have to wear a whole memory-consuming hud just to have that switch available.

I think Maitreya could definitely release an update and simply include a compatibility 5.3 mode that can be activated or deactivated in the HUD. All of the mesh bodies could do this, there shouldn't be a feeling that big changes can't be made imo. It doesn't even need much, the shoulders seem to be the most common area of complaint so maybe some tweaks there with a switch for 5.3 mode if any clothes are broken by the change.

Well I was interested in trying it but looking at the pictures here I doubt it's for me, I wear Lara Petite and don't get the impression there's any reason to consider switching. Surprised they're going for what seems like a very saturated market of curvier bodies but I guess they figure it's worth it and of course it's on trend. Price is too high imo I'm not marketer but I'd have assumed a $2kish introductory deal would be a good idea for any new body. Undercut the competition early, get people out and wearing it and then bring the price up if necessary. I'll drop by in a week or so when things chill out and give it a try to see how it looks in a more petite size but looking at that picture of Maitreya and it side by side... don't think I'll be buying it. edit: and if the stuff about 500k tris is true... that's just anti-social and totally unnecessary.

I wonder that too, inevitably someone is going to get dropped I think. The market is definitely oversaturated, I can't imagine how much work some people are taking on by rigging for all the bodies they currently do...

Looking forward to this, wondering how it looks in a more petite size. Would especially like if it has some Maitreya compatibility modes for feet, that would be super useful.

Hi all, in the market for a new laptop and while I would usually insist on a dedicated graphics solution - often going used/refurb and a generation or two behind just to get a dedicated Nvidia chip - these new Ryzen's with integrated Radeon 980 are interesting... supposedly roughly equivalent to a GTX1050ti but integrated. Never actually used a 1050Ti, have persisted with a much slower GT series card in an old laptop for years but now looking for something more up to date. Sufficient for SL?
