  1. A lot of people do though. What irks me the most are the Child Avi's that come into groups asking for support or questions about a product and sit there and STILL act like children. They say things like "I'm a kid, I don't understand" in that whining voice. They use child babble. Unless it's a RP group for children, then please act like the adult you are when asking for support help.
  2. I think people see what they want to see. For instance, your avatar picture looks, to me, like you are 14.
  3. To me...that looks like a 13 year old that talked her parents into getting her a breast enlargement. Where are earth would you think that represents anyone older than 21? Ya think maybe the site is taking into consideration the outfit, jewelry, etc you are wearing that in no way would any adult wear?
  4. I finally figured out why I find your posts distasteful. There is NO reason for this post to be in this thread. It's simply posted for attention. It makes fun of the new rules and dismisses legitimate concerns. It's disrespectful and rude. I really do hope they come for the furry's next.
  5. What they are preventing is the Child avatar from being able to turn it back on themselves. That's why Alphaing won't work. It must not be able to be removed. The thing with all this though is that what is to stop them from just putting on a non compliant body at any time. I am pretty sure ***play doesn't happen in the open and if it's two or three people doing it they are behind closed doors. Who would know but them and do you think they will be sending in AR reports on themselves? Unless they make a specific account for adults that can't purchase child avatar things and a specific Child Avatar account that can't purchase adult things then it's very simple to get around the rules while appearing to comply in public. I kind of see this as LL saying "welp, we did what we could to curtail the behavior. If they get caught not conforming then we have reason to ban" BUT the thing is that they never will be caught and nothing will change. It's just made it a lot of hassle for those that were already following the rules. Yes, there is something bigger happening here and we just don't know what it is....yet.
  6. I don't think it's a minority but just as the Child Avatars will have to follow new rules so will those families that are on Adult land. If they want to continue to RP with Child Avatars they will need to live on G or M rated land. If the land is non sexual then they won't have an issues moving to new land or they just won't be able to RP on their land.
  7. Well I feel bad for those that have Zooby. Now they can't use Zooby at all which also affects those creators that created clothes and accessories for the body. That's a shame.
  8. I wasn't quoting you? (confused look) but I do charge for my advice.
  9. Why would you need permission. If you put on an adult avatar you are considered an adult not a child avatar. It makes no difference whatsoever. I say don't go around making issues when there are none just because you are peeved about one that affects you.
  10. Are you IN the forum as a child avatar? No because avatars don't exist outside Second Life. Once you are logged out of Second Life do what you want. Didn't realize that the meant group in-world, not forum.
  11. If I had a nickel for every time I heard that.....
  12. I said no such thing. What I said was "is it THAT important for you to interact with those people as a child avatar on A rated land" You are still you and they are still they behind the avatar. If it's that important, have them visit you. Also, if you are going to break the TOS might as go all the way and continue to visit them. I mean it doesn't matter to you about the TOS right?
  13. Pretty sure no one missed it. A post from a non member that isn't a lawyer giving advice? I'll skip it. I'm sure this will be seen by most as heartless but it's not LL responsibility to make sure that those that use the platform don't have emotional breakdowns. Second Life is a platform, not a therapy site.
  14. Why sadly? Is it really that important for your interactions with those people who live on A rated land be with a child avatar?
  15. OH you don't have the HUD where you don't need rez rights?
  16. Myself as well. If it really IS just talking about BOM then all this is for nothing. The only thing that makes me think it's not is that LL is requiring the creator to make them. Not residents just going out and buying BOM clothing.
  17. This actually is a good point. A skin doesn't show up on an avatar scan so how is anyone going to know if the avatar is wearing a compliant skin if they also have BOM underwear on over it?
  18. I'm glad you don't work for LL because you've contradicted yourself several times in your own posts and responding to others.
  19. Child avatar content creators are required to add a modesty layer which is baked into child avatar skins or bodies, is not transparent, does not match the skin tone, and may not be removed. ^^^^ from the FAQ in two places. This does not sound like simply BOM underwear/clothing.
  20. Well I would love it then if LL came on this thread, as they already have, and verified that a modestly layer simply means wearing BOM underwear. I think EVERYONE would be happy with it. I actually already do this anyway and I'm not even a child avatar.
  21. Thank you for that! I was just doing my grocery store order and forgot powdered donuts!
  22. Do you really think if that is ALL LL meant that there would be 105 pages of complaining? Again where ARE you getting your information and/or interpretation?
