The only time I do not use regional lighting is when (to me) it looks awful or I am doing some arty photography. Every other moment I am seeing regional settings as set by the owner. Sadly many people assume that because they use a viewer which allows them to permanently override lighting settings with one they prefer that everyone must do the same. Thankfully that is not the case. I am throughly enjoying the regional lighting in the EEP enabled viewer and enjoy it as my default SL viewer - yep I am one of those weird people that does not use a third party viewer. The "Shop" looks all very slick but having to enable media player to use the HUD, lack of real information or a real demo that I can use outside of the controlled environment of the shop plus my memory of my previous TMP body and the total lack of support it has makes me wish they people are not fooled by this. I may be wrong but I suspect this is more of the same - flashy style but no real content or support in the long run.

Sorry you feel that way but I found out about the new homes from the main dashboard and the post made there on April 15th. Short of sending out a mail message to everyone I'm not really sure how it could have been communicated more. How would you have liked it to have been communicated?

I am quite happy with the houseboat location that I have got - in a smaller marina not far from the "great south channel" to the other continent. Though I do know quite a few people who are waiting for the new homes to be released so they can snap up a houseboat of their own so I think these will go fast too!

I did see a huge steam powered ship go past my houseboat last night - it was struggling to move I think

They are really going all out for including the residents in actually making the continent a "living" place with all the Rez zones for water, ground and air vehicles. I just hope my peaceful views from the houseboat do not end up like a few from St. Mark's Square in Venice with cruise liners going past every hour or so

Compare these new homes, the layout and the shared areas to the original Linden Homes - what a difference! I can actually see people using the shared areas and all that open water! Wow I may have to consider opening a bar for all those thirsty day trippers!

I am no fan of winter or snow. It's fun for about five minutes and then it really becomes tedious. Thats in RL The continent of Bellisseria appears to be somewhat hotter than the temperatelands which experience such things as snow. I would guess it to be in the tropics and whilst snow is not unheard of in those areas it is pretty uncommon unless at great altitude I guess. I'd not appreciate having my tropical houseboat icebound and me being forced to redecorate so I hope that this will not happen. As far as I am concerned, seasons and things should be down to full sim owners or people to do at parcel level and not for those living in a Linden Home to have forced upon them.

The moles are not resting as they expand the carefully designed neighbourhoods of the new Linden Homes. From this vantage point you can see new islands waiting to have the moles get to work on them. One day, not that long ago all this was sea. Visit this island lighthouse (protected land)

Loving my houseboat - affordable waterfront property at last

A very sensible and welcome approach to what could have become quite a problem considering how close the houses and houseboats are placed together. Never been a fan of ban lines - ugly things. Not keen on over zealous orbs either so this is good news.
