Hmm, now that I think of it, the ToS change will "kill" the "Family-Friendly Nude Beach" business. I shall not shed a tear for them. They can put up signs, "no nude children". Are children even allowed at such places even if the child is fully-clothed now?

I think that since "Asian people look younger" keeps coming up, that will probably be taken into account with any Governance review of reporting. Easy peasy. (At least to me, it's "common sense".)

One of the pics reminded me of the "baby beauty queens", where the young girl is made up to look much older for a "beauty pageant".

This makes sense. After all, a landowner cannot control if someone TP's onto their land who should not be there. Or for example, if someone TP's onto their land as an "adult avatar", then changes to a "child avatar".

I think, based on my own variety of "common sense" (which certain people LOVE to deride me over), if the FAQ's disagree with the TOS, then the TOS "wins". In that case, we need to ask and get LL to "clarify or fix" the FAQ's.

I do see people in this thread conflating the LL rules with the fact individual region owners can "Ban" for whatever reason.

This is interesting because it is "at odds" with the TOS statement someone copied earlier that said there must be a modesty layer for the body OR skin. This is an example where the FAQ's don't really line up well with the TOS statements, and are adding to the confusion and concerns.

A point I've tried to articulate before is, if you wear "modesty underwear" OVER those skins, it should be just fine. Bad parts of the body not showing = "not reportable", even if you're not wearing an "official" modesty layer. I think the options just were not very well explained.

Agreed. There is no way for us to know, because LL does not release the details and result of Reports or Appeals. All we know is what we read or hear from other people. And, we are MUCH more likely to see complaints about people who were "banned" and either came back to complain, or their friends complained. ("Reviews" work the same way, people don't most as many "positive reviews".)

For the sake of serious discussion: if an "allowed fix" is to wear some official modesty layer, then how does that break content?

Yes, I did see complaints about difficulties with child avatars shopping (due to needing to test furniture that happens to be in adult stores), and about not being able to go to "family-friendly nude beaches". But, I did not see anything from child avatars (unless I missed it) that - for example - now they cannot be in the same room as mommy and daddy sometimes, or that now they have to move off of their home region altogether. Another example: "My family lives at a medieval RP private region, where everyone sleeps in one big room. Now I have to get my own room!" (Actually, I assume the RP private region would have to be changed to non-Adult and not allow Adult activities in order to allow the children there.) Not many complaints about use-cases for "the reasons these rules are actually changing" - keep "child avatars" away from "adult situations", etc.

I think a lot of the "concerns" (well-founded or not) about these TOS changes, are an example of how people are going to complain about ANY change, no matter what.

I wonder if anyone is willing to proclaim themselves as an "expert" in this topic, so we can get THEIR perspective? For examples: How are their community and friends impacted by the changes in TOS? How do they feel about being "forced" to be an adult to perform adult activities - just to follow the changes in TOS? What is it like being judged by everyone, even more so now with the changes in TOS?

That gives me an idea though, maybe LL will start selling "official underwear", or include it in our inventory libraries!
