  1. It's too bad you can't get down and dirty with a trowel in Second Life, and have to use "Landscaping Tools" (scripts or the GUI)!
  2. Sorry, I don't get the reference. Should I Google it (is it important to the topic)? (It sounded a little political so I hesitate.)
  3. Do you have questions on "why" that word is considered "bad"? The simplest answer isn't really something like, "it would trigger people". In my opinion, the most obvious answer is that people who are "having a really bad day" (have no self-control, are having an "episode", etc.) would use it to threaten others, as basically a form of "Forum griefing SPAM". Taking that word away, removes that tool from the Forum SPAM Griefers. I don't have a problem taking word away, after all - it is not a word which is "related" to Second Life, technically. Unless somehow, that word is one of your favorites, I don't see the big deal in saying, "this is a bad word - don't use it on the Forum".
  4. 'Nary a thought in most people's brains, these days! People aren't bad, just their brains.
  5. Oooh, politics and gender! Cool!!!! You make cool threads.
  6. I guess what I meant, explained terribly, is - we can't always control whether others understand us. Language gaps, different terminology, different backgrounds, cultural norms, etc. But, we CAN try really hard to understand others. Even to the point of Googling. I Googled a lot more in this thread than usual! ETA: What's the old saying? "Seek first not to be understood, but to understand?"
  7. Is that with all of Second Life and Linden Lab included? It's the "New NFT"!
  8. Luckily, it's not our responsibility to "be understood", but to "understand others". In other words, listen more than you talk (as they say)! I just made all that up! It sounded good.
  9. It sounds like wearing a scar that YOU like, is a great way to filter out people!
  10. L$ 4,104,304 (1 L$/ pixel) Bonus if the texture is a repeating pattern that could have worked fine with a smaller texture! ..But now that 2048 is "mandatory", what choice did anyone have?
  11. 25,000 L$ for 2k uploads. Using a high upload cost, and thereby limiting it to "serious creators" will work just fine, they can always just raise the price of products. LL gets paid more for uploads, LL gets more in transaction fees from people buying the products. Evurbody wins! Oops, I mean, LL wins!
  12. Whilst I totally agree with your sentiment, I don’t think an increased cost or any other barrier to upload will solve the problem that is about to descend upon us with the introduction of 2k. Don't take Paul toooooooo seriously!
  13. I don't want to steal it, I just wanna..."lemme touch your hair!!!" * Ahem * * slips you my phone number *
  14. Unfortunately, "resilience" also turned out to be a loaded term (assumedly, it was not chosen on purpose to be controversial). Had just "healing", "recovery", etc. been used, then perhaps there could have been a lot less drama. But then, we (those who participated in the discussion on it) would have learned less about what "resilience" means to some people, in some contexts, and its origin in Psychology, etc.
  15. My understanding is that the "auto-review" process is to help prevent certain types of SPAM. Since we also have the "1 minute wait between posts", I wonder how useful it is and whether we really need it. I assume whatever word(s) trigger "auto-review" also would get redacted (unless it is a "phrase checker" and not for specific words).
  16. Thanks, she had me convinced that I was causing all the confusion by asking questions and creating division!
  17. Thanks for reminding me, need to check if Sculpties work on the new Mobile viewer.
  18. Oh noe, yew didn!!! I always kind of just assumed Coffee is an expert, because of her professional demeanor.
  19. I think we didn't see anything about Senra in the update video, correct?
  20. I am reminded of the one, "Most of you need Santa Claus to bring you Dictionaries and Bibles for Christmas this year"..
