  1. Yep! Is like war where it is only Drones attacking other Drones.
  2. LL is posting stuff with "Edgy", questionably titles / names a lot today. These two were on the same "Unread Content" page. Peeve: Can't get some good old fashioned "clean" Foruming in.
  3. THAT, would target more shoppers than bots, and YOU suggested it. That's a good idea. All those shoppers are clogging up the Regions, making it hard to get around.
  4. Ok, great - I just realized that the "next level" is, when Bots start abuse-reporting non-Bots as Bots! LL will assume the Bots are non-Bots because they are creating abuse reports.
  5. I think that sometimes, that impression is because "politeness" and being "extra nice" and "civil" is so out of fashion, so out of style, that people assume it is not genuine. In order to counter that, I attempt to be "consistent" when I really mean something polite or am trying to be "extra kind". That way, people will hopefully read it for what it SAYS, not as some form of "bless your heart". It sure beats those who criticize, curse, belittle, etc. in most of their posts! (You may know who I mean, they are one of the few people I have blocked.)
  6. I thought I would be able to stop worrying so much when my stalker died in RL. It hasn't worked that way yet. I still look over my shoulder. I'd worry about them haunting me, or coming back as a zombie, vampire, or demonic presence that gives me nightmares despite them being ded.
  7. It would sure be nice to think so! Especially considering the responses we do get. So, the System works!
  8. I think the um..not paranoid but..sensitive (?) Forumites use Alts on the Forums. Go figure! "I'm not brave enough to post this BS under my MAIN account, so I'll make an Alt real quick for that." Hopefully, those Alts don't have anything to be askeered of in their in-world profiles. That would be ironic.
  9. Where on earth are you getting this stuff from? It looks almost like sarcasm to me. Hard to tell!
  10. Peeve: When you try to be nice and participate, but people still get um, "tweaked". Peeved, there's a good word! They apparently get peeved.
  11. Peeve: Hard to tell if people mean "u" as in "you", or if they intend the Greek "mu", used for example in "microfarads", a measurement of capacitance in electronic components. But since your picture is a cat, perhaps you do mean "u" as in Greek "mu", as in "mew"?
  12. Nope, we are discussing your topic. No snark! The idea of a 'discussion', when brought up by an "original poster" (to a thread) is USUALLY that they intend to also participate in the discussion. I've actually seen people post (literally), "I don't care about this topic, but maybe it would be interesting to discuss." Sorry if I "rushed to judge" your slow replies. So, please feel comfortable in participating or not, in your interesting discussion. But please also be aware, that sometimes we Forum posters try to make it "more interesting" by including "humorous" posts (or attempts at humor). Ok. I am still curious if your desire was for a "realistic, animated avatar" IN Second Life. I assume so now, based on your answer. I thought @Scylla Rhiadra's example was quite nice and realistic, so I don't understand how that does not give a good example. Maybe because it was just a face and not an entire avatar? Anyway, thank you for your reply and participating in the Forum. As I often say, we learn something from everyone. Edited to add: Sorry, now that I see your focus is on Second Life Photography - possibly you don't need "moving, animated" avatars - just static images of realistic, lifelike, "full" avatars?
  13. But..but..both are voodoo, witchcraft, magic!
  14. I am reminded of many posts I wrote during the "0-Second Orb Panic", where I proposed a hypothetical company, "Second Life No-Fault Teleport Home Insurance". It occurred to me that, if such a company existed - its main clientele may actually be bots!
  15. Thank you! I forgot yet another benefit of being Premium Plus! (I am still smarting over someone telling me I am "paying too much".)
  16. @xXJupiterHeightsXx Starchild, see @Scylla Rhiadra's example above. Is this "real life looking" to you? It is to me! Did you mean this, "a picture" of a "real life looking" person based on your avatar? Or, did you mean "a 3-D, full, moving, animated avatar that looks like "real life" (like Scylla's example but a full avatar in Second Life). I am not sure exactly what you are asking, if @Scylla Rhiadradid not answer the question to your satisfaction with her great example. I thought it was very artful. Also, you may not be aware, but "AI aside", there was (and probably still is) a way to upload a Real Life image to a third-party (not Linden Lab) service that would create an avatar's head "shell" with your face on it. Those were fairly primitive, but showed your "real life" image. Thanks, Love
  17. The point of my comment is this: Discussions of "AI-generated" images often become discussions about the merits of AI "Art", and get side-tracked on "what is art?" questions. I was referencing those discussions and questions. I'm sorry if you took my response in some other way. I think that the very first reply to your post, by @Scylla Rhiadra, addressed your question directly. Yet, you have not replied or participated in your own interesting discussion until replying to my post. Please let us know how to engage you in your interesting discussion, so that we are not merely discussing it amongst ourselves. Did you want to discuss the topic? Or, just reply to posts that you don't like?
  18. Hooray! I had faith in you, and it was not misplaced. Thank you!
  19. I would hope that LL grants the parcels based on information in applications submitted, and voted on by "committee", rather than just awarding them to the biggest names. "Oh, them? Yeah, they have a lot of Private Regions. Better give them a big plot."
  20. If it's like a poisonous snake, "red on yellow, kill a fellow".
  21. These movies are not as most say, "cautionary tales", but actually a tiny window into the vast opportunities for our Future With Bots! ETA: "2001, A Space Oddysey" - murder bots? No! Using bots in critical automation and crew access authorization. "Alien" - Embedded Spy bots? No! Using bots for effective Project Management! ETA2: Don't get me started on Saturn 13 and Forbidden Planet! Examples abound!
  22. Thought experiment: If we knew which bots were gay, they may be welcome at Gay events to help with promotion. Do bots even Pride? Business model: Pridewear for Bots!
