  1. Windlight affects day and night times irregardless whether or not there's windows. Personally I am not a fan of fullbright, because sometimes I like taking pictures at night time, and there's nothing worse than half of the objects in the room being darker to reflect that while the other half is full bright. Also, owning a few windowless skyboxes I've added my own windows to the interrior with an animated snowfall texture. Just because it comes windowless doesn't mean it has to stay that way If you insist forcing that 'unatural' setting on someone though then please make your build mod so potential costumers can simply turn full bright off. Actually, all builds should be modable, the costumer base that will buy no-mod prefabs/skyboxes is extremely small.
  2. When making sure your graphics card is using the newest driver always go to the manufecturers site and search for the latest driver there. The automatic search on your computer hardly ever tells you that your driver is out of date. Also, did you make sure to do a http://wiki.phoenixviewer.com/fs_clean_reinstall ? This is very important when reinstalling the viewer or things might get borked. Next you can do, is to try reverting back to the last client version that worked stable for you, see if it fixes your sudden lag, if it doesn't, it seems something is wrong with your connection. Also, make sure that when your computer updated the windows firewall didn't suddenly decide to block any parts of Second Life (also check your anti-vir!) Lastsly, when asking for technical help, it's incredibly helpful to post your system specs. If you use Firestorm you can find this under Help -> About FS, copy and paste everything. I am sure the official viewer has that, too.
  3. Hi there, it can be caused by many things. If you rent mainland, or have rented a small place at like a shop or small home instead of a whole parcel you will need to wear the group tag the land is under to rez. When you go to a sandbox, make sure that rezzing is allowed in the area you stand in, most sandboxes (except for premium ones and a small handful of others) do not allow rezzing right at the landing point but you need to walk to the designated area(s). Other causes can be, that you're trying to rez something on a mesh surface, which most of the time unfortunately doesn't work until you put a solid prim on the floor (and make it invisible) to act as a second ground. Or that you have a connection issue. If you'd like you can edit your post and add more details, so we can narrow down the problem.
  4. If you do not have the option in About Land > Media to set your music stream, then you will need to contact your land lord to do that for you. This is most often the case with Mainland Rentals, where you, as a renter don't get full rights over your parcel. In that case there is nothing you can do but to contact the person you're renting from.
  5. Hi there, each parcel has an allocated prim count, you have used up all your allowed prims, so in order to rez something else, you first need to pick something up. World > About Land > Objects will tell you what your parcel's capacity is. World > About Land > Objects > Owned by Others will show you if someone else has rezzed something on your land, you can also return their objects from that screen. If you need more prims, you will need to buy/rent a larger plot of land, or buy/rent another parcel on the same sim to combine the prim allowance of both.

It's not the end of the world, it would just result in a cleaner experience that's all. Wooden character movement. To be fair it's not that bad once you get used to it. Looks a bit odd when you first start but it's ok. Shift to run might be quite nice, and a smoother jumping animation would be good. Hi, I'm curious, what do you mean with random glitching exactly? Also, adressing the wooden character movement, there's good and bad AO's around, if you experience wooden character movement you may be using a bad AO. Search the marketplace and go to stores in world to preview their AO's and you'll find that there's quite a few that are very smooth and not wooden at all. Edit: Same goes for animations placed within furniture.

Which is why it's all the more fun to undress those male models, and you don't end up looking desperate at all because clearly, it's for the greater good that you get them out of those outfits asap. Yes I totally just went there.

I should take down my thing, it makes me feel really self conscious now
  12. Wish you luck with finding super awesome models, bloggers and a CSR. If you ever come up short in the model department, feel free to fling clothes at me and I'll hop in them and stand there looking pretty while I get into my avastar zone I promise not to lick any pavements. I even made a thing! PS: That place stopped doing the landing point tp routing, woot! PPS: I'm procrastinating big time.
  13. Hello there! I'm qouting Rolig here as she's handled this problem before: Rolig Loon wrote: Well, in the Firestorm viewer all you need to do is go to Preferences >>> Firestorm >>> Avatarand set both sliders for avatar head movement to Zero. You can do the same thing in other viewers, but it's more work. Open the Advanced menu (CTRL + Alt + D) and then Debug Settings. Type YawFromMousePosition and set the value there to 0.0 to keep your head from moving left and right with the mouse. Then typePitchFromMousePosition and do the same thing to keep your head from moving up and down
  14. Happy Easter to you, and everyone else as well. It's a beautiful sunny day over here and a kickass BBQ in my immediate future, woot!
  15. Read the notecard that came with the product. The clothing applier only works for a certain layer, say, you're wearing lola's, when you click the lola's you have different top options such as bra, tank and nude etc. Now if you wear the bra layer but the applier is made for the tank layer, clicking it won't do anything unless you actually click the tank layer button in the lola's menu and then click on the applier.
  16. Hi there, left clicking your avatar in FS does nothing but move the camera angle, it's designed that way, you need to right click the avatar to open the pie menu. The closest option I found in the preferences to what you want is: Move and View -> Firestorm tab -> Clicking your avatar keeps camera position.

I created an alt some time back for testing purposes and she made a $0L purchase and got the "you now have payment info on file" message from the "cashier" when checking out on the MP. They *may have made it so you need to make a $1l or more purchase, but as of about maybe 7 months ago or so, you did not. Either way.. a small purchase on MP will register your account as PIOF That is no longer the case. You really do have to purchase linden through the lindex to get PIOF nowadays.
  18. Hi there, Go to Preferences -> Privacy -> General > Only friends and groups know i'm online. There's no way to appear offline in groups when you're not as far as I know.
  19. Hello there, phew that was quite a search but here you go, Luck Inc. sells it in the main store http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Luck%20Inc/47/129/23 Happy Easter to you, too!
  20. Hi there, How long does it take to process credits? Process-credit requests can take three (3) to five (5) business days (Monday-Friday, not including U.S. holidays) to be completed and sent to your PayPal account. We strive for quick turnaround; however, holidays and the volume of transactions can affect processing times. Improvements to the system are intended to reduce the processing time for most requests by the end of 2013. ---- If it has taken longer than that already I'd go ahead and call their Toll Free billing hotline to see what's up: Billing support phone numbers Toll-Free (US/Canada) 800.294.1067 Long-Distance 703.286.6277 Our Billing team is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. 21. Covenant and restrictions The covenant describes how you can use Linden Home land. To view the covenant, choose World > Region / Estate, then click the Covenant tab or right-click on the ground and choose About Land then click on the COVENANT tab. You are not allowed to: Terraform Linden Home land, sell it, deed it to a group, join it with another parcel, or divide the land. Modify the structure. For example, you can not move or eliminate individual components of your Linden Home such as the fireplace or a window. Move or rotate the structure. Your Linden Home must remain as it came on its 512m2 parcel. If you want both a Linden Home and more land for your premium account, you can upgrade on the Land Use Fees page. Tip: Linden Home land can't be group-owned. But if your personal Resident account is eligible for Linden Home land, you can set the land to a group to collaborate with other group members. Also, you agree that your Linden Home: Is for residential use only. Business use of any kind is prohibited, including parcel rental, rental boxes, classified ads or other forms of advertising, and event listings. Will be kept presentable and in-theme. Does not include traffic tracking. Land cannot contain sky boxes, temporary object rezzers, or individual prims beyond the maximum size allowed by the Second Life Viewer build tools. 22. Tango's are mesh breasts that go over/stick through a piece of clothing whether it's mesh or system clothing. To have the breasts covered too you will need an applier, and that is what your friend is asking you to do. Upon purchasing the breasts you're also receiving a folder with a 'dev kit' that let's you make the appliers for them for your own creations.
  23. Re-activating a canceled account If you have cancelled your account, you may be able to restore it, depending on how long ago it was cancelled. There is a US$9.95 reactivation fee for restoring an account. Warning: Even if your account is restored, the associated inventory, land, and Linden dollar balance may be unrecoverable. To start the process: Open a support case. Under What type of problem are you having? choose Account Issue. Choose Reactivate an old account. Enter the required information Click Submit.
  24. Hi there, it happens sometimes that an avatar remains grey or a cloud. This is called a bake fail, and is easily remedied. Here's a link that will walk you through solutions on how to have your avatar appear again: http://wiki.phoenixviewer.com/doku.php?id=fs_bake_fail Usually it helps to simply go to Avatar -> Avatar Health -> Reset default female/male avatar. If that doesn't do the trick, refer to the link I posted for more suggestions
  25. FloofferMcNooters wrote: Now, I know that if I buy an item on one computer, and log onto the same account on a different computer, it won't be there. That is wrong. Your inventory is saved on the SL asset servers, not on your computer and should show up no matter which machine you use to log in. If you're having troubles with that here's a few good reads to troubleshoot: http://wiki.phoenixviewer.com/fs_cache_clear http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Inventory_loss http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Inventory_Recovery_Steps
