  1. My crystal ball tells me it's 'Maybe'. Oh wait, that was my magic 8 ball! But same thing really. Anyway, we cannot read minds and we have NO idea what your problem could be at all. If you're looking for technical help, it's absolutely crucial to give us at least some basic info such as: - The error message you are getting when you crash, this is incredibly important as there's many different ones, all having a different solution. - Your laptops system specs. Open Firestorm (just open it, no login in) and go to Help -> About Firestorm and copy everything from that window and paste it here. Also, please don't make a new post, simply edit yours, we'll see it and try to help!
  2. Hi there! You can't change the home you have right now, what you can do however is to abandon the home (About Land -> Abandon). Once that is done, go back to the Linden Home Selection website and just choose a new one. You can change to a new Linden home (after abandoning the current one) 5 times a day.
  3. Hi there! I'm pretty much like you in that respect so I did a bit of searching around a while ago, bad news is, I found only like 3 communities that are equal parts beautiful and equal parts great to explore, and hopefully other people will add on to this. One is FUD, offering a beautiful sim with the houses tucked away in nooks and crannies. Price is lovely at 250L for 150 prims. Exploring is encourged as long as you don't pop up beside someone who is sitting on their toilet or something http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Fairy%20Unique/29/184/26 They usually only have very few house openings! The other one is Sunshineacid. Don't let the acidic name fool you, this is one of the most well built community rental sims I have found. http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Sunshineacid/190/209/23 Rental fees are very good and you can decide to rent a furnished place with a low prim allowance for extra needs or an empty house. The owners of the place are very fun and kind. Edit: I forgot HHVET Victoriana. This sim is equal parts quaint shops, and houses for rent. It's a very well built full sim city. http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Alicorns%20Hold/28/240/47 The best part? Rent is 1L per week. Yes, you read that right. There's only a small one time fee. Say, you rent a house with 100 prims, you pay 200L to the sim owner, and from then on out you pay 1L rent a week. I know this sounds too good to be true but I have been renting my satelite store there for over 2 weeks now! Paid 100L for my 50 prims, and have since then paid a weekly rent of 1L. There's still some houses free!
  4. Madelaine McMasters wrote: From hell spawn to hero in a day. Well done! ;-). Baww, this is so going to give me split personalities, horrific mini bloody mary and helpful hero Lady! One day there shall be an epic showdown that will level entire forum sections.
  5. Gotta love the OP always calling out merchants for their so called 'shady practises' in this forum. I wonder if that helps his sales? (Rethorical Question.)
  6. D'awh first time I heard that, gave me all the warm fuzzies ever, and you're welcome
  7. This is the wrong forum, might want to have this moved to inworld employement. Anyway, what do you mean with animating an object? Would it be attached to the avatar or would it be an object rezzed on the ground? If it's the latter you are searching for a scripter then, not an animator. Also, a 3min sequence means it will be 10 animations total with the max length of 30 seconds per animation and a script used to sequence them. So you won't be charged for only one animation.
  8. Top left in the black bar you have a grey little world map, click on it and it'll drop down a menu with languages. Select english and all is well. MP languages change if you follow a link to the mp from someone who doesn't have their MP language as english.
  9. What do you mean with launch from the second life website? Do you mean the slurl web window that you click and it'll pop up a teleport in the client? If yes, that no longer works in the latest firestorm release. So you could either revert back to an earlier release, or copy slurls from the url bar and paste them into the clients slurl bar to tp. If you mean something else, you can edit your post to make things clearer
  10. @Jeffrey: I highly doubt Caledon offers such classes. Please only refer people to any sort of school when you are sure they teach the needed classes. Otherwise you're not being helpful but lead people into the wrong direction to look for answers. @Miley this is from the product notecard: -Nails: This tab now involves Crazy Nails! And now crazy nails CAN ALSO BE TEXTURED!! .All Nails is now a multi feature controller. You can simply drop your own texture on it and touch it, as long you can recolor it or make it transparent. When you ready with all your favorite changes, touch it to apply. .Crazy Nails, drop your own textures or recolor each nail. when you are ready touch each limb. .Hide/Show: touch that button to hide or show your nails. So basically, you can't actually make nails for it, just the textures that people would then have to drop onto the nails. You can of course contact bit.mcmillan the Toddleedoo creator and inquire if in the future there could be nail appliers and such for the product.
  11. I use it, simply because it's so easy to get your product on there. When I upload a new product to caspertech, all you have to do is tick the checkbox for primbay, select a section the product should be under, add a description (I just copy & paste my MP listing description in there) as well as the keywords and voila. It takes about 10 seconds of extra effort to list the product on there. Haven't sold anything yet over primbay, but with each new merchant adding to it, it'll get bigger and more known. Plus, it's a lot faster and easier to find products on there, it beats the MP with that hands down.
  12. Oh my, that makes me feel right at home!
  13. I had been toying with the idea of having a child avi for a long time now, they're just silly and cute and adorable. Usually. I think my finger must have slipped during my purchases. I can't quite explain it. That or I am secretly Madelaine McMasters' hell spawn. Odder things have happened. I wanted a super cute little toodleedoo but I ended up with a bloody nightmare in the most literal sense. I want to share the nightmares with you! PS; Yes I have been chasing people with my bloody machete.
  14. Hi there, the auction price has nothing at all to do with the parcel's tier, it is simply the buy price of the parcel. Maindland parcels have fixed tiers. Cost Sq. Meters Amount of Land USD 195.00/ month 65,536 Entire Region USD 125.00/ month 32,768 1/2 Region USD 75.00/ month 16,384 1/4 Region USD 40.00/ month 8,192 1/8 Region USD 25.00/ month 4,096 1/16 Region USD 15.00/ month 2,048 1/32 Region USD 8.00/ month 1,024 1/64 Region USD 5.00/ month 512 1/128 Region USD 0.00/ month 0 0/128 Region Found in your dashboard under Land Manager -> Land Use Fees. So if you win the bid at 8,000L for a 4,096 parcel. 8,000L will be deducted from your account and you will pay $25 per month for the plot. Mainland tiers are directly paid to LL, and they're paid in USD only, not Linden.
  15. Hi there, it might not be gone after all. Have you checked your Lost and Found folder? Were more objects sent back at once than just the board? If yes, check your lost and found folder anyway and look for what looks like a broken rubics cube. It might not necessarily be named like the board! Furthermore, have you searched for the object in your inventory using the inventory search? Sometimes returned items need days to return to your inventory, so you might just find it tomorrow. However, what you can do in the meantime is, to perhaps contact the creator and explain to them what had happened and whether or not they'd be willing to send you another board. Now there's no guarantee they will since it's no copy, but some merchants are quite understanding in that case.
  16. A well known prefab store has a so called rewarder system. You purchase their prefab from the market place, leave a review (It can be a gushing 5 star one or a PO'ed 1 star review) and then you visit their in world rewarder terminal to get a couple Linden back. I find this to be a very good practise as the system doesn't judge between good and bad reviews and you get your rebate instantly in world without having to talk to a real person. That way there's no pressure at all when getting the rebate, a system can't be pleased or be angry about a review They've been using that system for years and they get a lot of truthful reviews as far as I can tell. And yes, their products are mostly 4-5 star, for good reason, they're really good, especially their newer stuff. At this point in time they have no need for that system at all but they keep it up because apparently they like to give back.
  17. Hi there, the appliers coming with tops, usually work for a certain how would you say, clothing layer of the tango's? A bikini might be for the bra layer of the tango's, a button down might be for the tank layer. You can change what layer is used by clicking on your lola's. Usually such products come with a notecard advising you which layer it's for. Now, say, you buy a bra for lola's, the applier is made for the bra layer. You will have to configure your lola's through the touch menu and click on the bra button. Then you add the applier. If you have not done that, and it's configured for the tank layer, then you can click the applier a hundred times and nothing will happen. Hope that helps you
  18. Hi there, we don't know, as we're all just residents like you here. I'd advise you to give their toll free billing hotline a go to directly talk to someone who can actually tell you what happened and who can attempt to fix it. 19. You can't. The transaction history only reaches back 30 days. It's advised to download everything once a month for safe keeping. Your MP buy history however reaches back to your very first purchase.
  20. You are bound by the End User License each full perm creator has as long as it's in plain view, such as on their product page, and in their store. If you go against this agreement you can and will most likely be DMCA'd. If you do not agree with a creator's license, don't purchase from them. If you do purchase their stuff however, then follow their rules, or you will get in trouble. If you're not sure about any part of someones license, contact the merchant and they will explain it to you. Do not just assume but cover your bases.
  21. You never ever use the computers inbuilt function to search for new drivers. 99% of the time you do that it will tell you your driver is up to date when it's not. Check what graphics card you have and go to the manufecturers site and manually search for the latest driver.
  22. Hi there, on a products page, to the right just underneath the 'Buy Now' button you will have something like this: Ardent. Animations Visit the Store Sold by: Syn Anatine The name after Sold by, is the creator of the product. Copy that name, open your SL client and paste that name in the search, open their profile and from there you can click on the "Send Instant Message" button or drag a Notecard onto their profile to contact them.
  23. I'm really sorry to hear you're going through all that, and please do continue to file abuse reports, once for each incident. Have you sent a notecard to those sim owners? Any reasonable person would unban you. I wish you well with the situation in the future and that LL acts accordingly. Though if all else fails, an alt account may be worth it. Not to become your new main, but to simply get some peace of mind for once while still being able to enjoy SL.
  24. That is strange. When objects get borked to the point that you can't detach them, a relog usually fixes that and upon logging in you can finally detach them. Have you gone to your worn items and right clicked things and then clicked on detach? Have you cleared your cache? Have you rese your router? If not, try that and report back if it helped so we can continue trouble shooting. Also make sure you've tried everything from this link: http://wiki.phoenixviewer.com/doku.php?id=fs_bake_fail
