  1. Thanks. I've removed them all now from regions where they are no longer needed.
  2. I think there's an ancient prophecy, probably made by Magellan's enigmatic friend Stoner, about whosoever draws the fork from this cube shall be the ruler of all Pickledom. As @Dyna Mole will confirm, our NDAs mean we could not possibly comment on rumours about our working on community areas including round tables with a booby-trapped Siege Perilous, and grid hunts with mesh grails rezzing and derezzing all over the place, even if we had heard them.
  3. Several of them were used for QA purposes, and the rest we use for development and testing. Best to regard them as scratchpads, as Nika suggests in her post.
  4. Please, drop me an offline IM in world with a slurl or landmark and I will take a look. I can remove the non-functioning house for you easily enough, and it sounds as it the new house is working OK.
  5. All the regions in Bellisseria are rated Moderate (as is about 60% of the grid).
  6. Can you send me a slurl, please? I will investigate as soon as I am able.
  7. I can confirm the phrase "fork it," or something very similar, is often used by Moles, particularly me when scripting isn't going too well.
  8. I don't think that's going to do any good in this case The problem, whatever is causing it, is clearly with something inside the house (I suspect the control panel script) rather than the house controller outside the house. The house controllers are working as expected, but they're nothing to do with the doors.
  9. @Elora LunaseaIt's too late for me to do anything about this tonight, but this sounds very similar to a problem I resolved on Lostbell earlier today. The description of the issue was almost identical. I couldn't get the scripts to respond at all (I should have been able to see debug messages) even though the viewer could tell the front door was touchable. Rezzing a new house didn't cure anything, and neither setting all scripts in the house to running (they were already -- I'd checked) or even replacing the rezzer with one from our reference region, where we keep the latest copy of all the houses, houseboats and trailers. Long story short, I eventually restarted the region and that seemed to fix it. Just before doing this, I checked the region stats and, while they weren't perfect, they shouldn't have caused this sort of problem, and several of them seemed to have more to do with my connection rather than the simulator. I suspect it may be something to do with the issue described in the Grid Status Report https://status.secondlifegrid.net/incidents/263n6z6w1sp0 (though I don't fully understand how) but if it's still a problem, please drop me a slurl or landmark in world and I will see what I can do.
  10. Thanks, both! Can you both please let me know on which regions the trailers are located? I think the fix we were working on yesterday should cure the issues you describe but I need to take a look at the rezzed trailers to be sure.
  11. Thanks, everyone, for the reports about issues with access to the control panel, and particular thanks for @Beth Macbain and her alt for letting us use her parcel for testing and for sitting there patiently, trying the doors and control panel when asked, and putting up with long periods of inactivity while Dyna and I were cursing in Discord. We think we have it fixed now (the bug was well-concealed and manifested itself only in very specific circumstances) and should have a update out in the next day or so, once it's been approved by QA.
  12. I am sorry but the error reports people are providing here just don't give me enough to go on. If anyone still has this problem after rezzing a new trailer, please contact either @Dyna Mole or me direct (via person message or IM in world) and one of us will arrange to meet you in world at a mutually convenient time to try to discover exactly what the issue is. ETA: Even knowing region(s) we're talking about would be a big help.
  13. Thanks. That's a workaround, rather than a fix, I think, so if whoever you helped is reading this, I'd be very grateful if they could get in touch with me so I can see what's happening. Perhaps you can find the conversation in your chat log, and remind yourself of their name that way?
  14. Possibly so, but I need some specifics before I can do anything. Are you saying that you, as the owner of the parcel, can use the doors on all the other 7 trailers but not the Chesapeake? Or are you saying you can't open any doors at all? I would like to take a look at the trailer, on your parcel, with you there, so I can see exactly what's happening. Can you please message me (either here or in-world) when you get a chance and we can set something up? It shouldn't take me long to gain the information I need, but I need you there.
  15. I'm sorry, but this doesn't give me much information to go on. What help did you give the owner and how did that fix it? If, as I suspect may be the case, the door worked OK for the owner of the parcel but not for anyone the owner had added to the access list, then that's something I fixed yesterday (Saturday 21 September) and can be remedied simply by rezzing a new trailer (either the same model or a different one -- doesn't matter) and then adding the names of people you want to be able to use the control panel. Then set the control panel to respond to anyone on the list, and things should work as expected.
  16. As I said in my previous post, It would help me greatly in fixing the issue if you could give me the slurl of the rez zone you are talking about and also (very important) a screenshot of the error message you receive. I want to fix the problem for you if I can, but I can't unless you can provide me with the information I need.
  17. It would help me greatly in fixing the issue if you could give me the slurl of the rez zone you are talking about and also (very important) a screenshot of the error message you receive. Other people are able to drive vehicles round Bellissaria so I don't understand why you can't, and I want to fix the problem for you if I can.
  18. That doesn't sound right to me. If you are sitting on a vehicle then you can drive it out the rez zone, or you should be able to. That's the way SL works. Please try again, and please feel free, if you continue to have difficulties, to message me with details of where this happened plus a screenshot (if possible) of whatever error message you receive when you try to leave the rez zone.
  19. That's my fault The yellow thingies are parcel markers we lay out when we set up and build the region. They're both a visual guide for the builders and decorators and (because of the scripts they contain) an essential tool in building the systems whereby the websites, the land store, the house controllers, the trailers, the main rezzer and the remote servers that deliver content packs and notecards all talk to each other. Most of the time they're almost invisible. However, when I'm making sure the individual parcels and house controllers are all responding and have correctly registered themselves, the parcel markers briefly become highly visible for up to 30 seconds or a minute, before hiding themselves again after successfully updating the details of the parcels whose boundaries they mark, so that if any don't successfully complete the process I can see at a glance which parcels are affected. So if you see parcel markers behaving like that, it means I'm testing communications systems, or doing something that makes communications systems run self-diagnostic routines to check nothing's broken after something that's happened (a script update or something).
  20. I'm a scripter, remember, not a builder, so my busy times aren't the same as those of most of the other Moles. That's why I have time to post here a lot when others are busy decorating regions. Didn't take me long to do the makeover, in point of fact, perhaps because the market for male mesh bodies and heads doesn't seem anything like so large as that for female ones. I took advice on the best places to look, and checked out the two that came particularly recommended. We're all of us in LDPW experienced content creators, remember, so one of the many benefits of being a Mole is that I'm never short of expert help with SL shopping when I need it, and, of course, there are some very helpful blogs to look at too. I found the sort of thing I was looking for very quickly -- the whole process took no more than three or four hours, if that, spread over a couple of days, as and when I had time. I'd been thinking of getting this account a mesh body for a while but hadn't bothered until now because it's only recently that we in LDPW have become so publically recognisable -- due, in no small part, to the lovely portraits you've been posting here. I'm glad you like the new look.
  21. We've all of us in LDPW been using the EEP viewer for months now, partly as beta testers but primarily to try to ensure that Bellissaria looks good in both the legacy viewer and EEP.
  22. For certain values of soon™.
  23. As I recall, several of us from LDPW were standing on the opposite bank of the channel, on the Squishy Pickle, looking at the solid row of green dots on map on the Bellissaria side, and Patch commented it was like standing outside Winterfell waiting for the White Walkers to arrive. So of course we ended up with one of the Lindens flying up and down the region on a fire-breathing dragon yelling "Dracarys !" as hard as she could. I love this job.
