  1. Hi guys! Let's please keep things civil and on topic. Any personal grievances with other Residents are not appropriate for the forums and should either be kept to PMs or dropped entirely. Thanks! Kristin Linden
  2. Hello KalelPrime! I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing an issue purchasing L$. If you have not already, please submit a Support Case (you can do so by going to this handy link here: https://support.secondlife.com/create-case/) or alternatively, you can call one of our Billing support numbers (Toll-Free (US/Canada): 800.294.1067 or Long-Distance: 703.286.6277) so that we may be able to assist you further with this matter. You may also want to try using a different Payment Method or making sure that your Payment Method/Billing Information is up to date and correct. Best Regards, Kristin Linden
  3. Hello there! In the future, if you ever come across a region that is down (outside of any scheduled maintenances) or doesn't seem to be functioning properly we ask that you please contact Support to report the issue. Additionally, we encourage you to submit an Abuse Report in case the region is having problems due to griefing so that our Governance Team may take a look. When completing the report, please provide as much detail as you can and include a screen shot if possible. If an account name is not available, please file the report as using the account name of "Governor Linden" and include an explanation in the details. In this case, please include the name of the region that is down in the description if you are unable to get onto the region to report any issues from there. For more information on Abuse Reports, please read our Guide to Filing an Abuse Report in the Second Life Knowledge Base. http://community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/Filing-an-abuse-report/ta-p/700065 Our records currently show that Brown is up and running as it should. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. Best Regards, Kristin Linden

It will then be reviewed by our Governance Team for possible violations. When completing the report, please provide as much detail as you can and include a screen shot if possible. If an account name is not available, please file the report as using the account name of "Governor Linden" and include an explanation in the details. For more information on Abuse Reports, please read our Guide to Filing an Abuse Report in the Second Life Knowledge Base. http://community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/Filing-an-abuse-report/ta-p/700065 If you have already filed an in-world Abuse Report, we thank you. For privacy reasons, we're not able to update you as to the result of the report once it's been actioned, but you will receive an email confirmation that the report has been received by our Governance team. 8. Let's please keep all posts on this thread civil and on topic In regards to the original topic/question, if a thread is removed from the forums by the moderation team it is likely because some aspect of that thread was in violation of the Community Guidelines, Terms of Service, or was simply not appropriate for discussion on the forums. That's of course if one of those pesky forum goblins didn't eat them. We encourage you to review the Community Guidelines for what sort of content may be subject to moderation: http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Linden_Lab_Official:Community_Participation_Guidelines Thanks! Regards, Kristin Linden

  12. Hello again! You can also get your system information by doing the following on Windows 10: Start > Settings > About This will give you basic information about your computer. If you scroll down further to Device Manager > Display Adapters this will tell you what sort of graphics card your system has. Alternatively, you can find this information by hitting the Windows Key + R, and typing dxdiag in the text box and click on OK. You can then use this information to compare with the Second Life System Requirements, and to help you locate which drivers you may need to update. I hope this information helps you in resolving this issue! Sincerely, Kristin Linden

  14. Hello suezanne Shuffle, I'm sorry to hear that you have had a negative experience within Second Life. Unfortunately, topics such as these and posting issues that are occurring between Residents is not appropriate for the Second Life Forums. We ask that you keep any and all issues that you may have with another Resident between you and this person. Due to this I have removed Account Names and other private details (Chat/Notecards) from your post. You can review our posting guidelines here: http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Linden_Lab_Official:Discussion_guidelines If you feel you are being harassed in-world by another Resident we highly encourage you to try the following tips: • Consider using the Block/Mute feature. The Second Life viewer, as well as all Third Party Viewers, has the ability to block/mute other residents. This will not only prevent you from seeing what they are saying, both in public and private chat, but will also completely block their avatar so you will not see them at all. • If you are a land owner, adding their account to the ban list of your land will also prevent them from accessing your personal space. • If you feel that the person is following you from place-to-place, it may be that you are visiting your regular locations and the person knows this. • If you are using a Third Party Viewer, you may wish to make sure that RLV is not enabled, as this can allow a person to track your location as well (the location for turning that off is different depending upon the viewer, and you will need to access that specific viewer's documentation for further assistance in this regard). • If, after the above methods, the resident continues to harass you, please file an abuse report under Harassment - Verbal Abuse and provide us with as much detail as possible—including as complete a list as possible of accounts used in the situation—so that we can better review the report. Including this support case number will help us to investigate. For more tips on how to deal with harassment, please visit our website: http://community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/How-to-deal-with-abuse-and-harassment/ta-p/1339983 As with any harassment, if you fear this may have an impact on your real life, such as threats of personal harm or putting your actual safety at risk, we encourage you to also notify your local authorities so that they can assist you in taking the appropriate steps to ensure your real life safety. Since this thread has been brought back from the grave, and these types of issues are not handled via the forums I will be closing this thread. Thank you for your assistance, and we hope that your future interactions in Second Life are pleasant ones. Sincerely, Kristin Linden
