  1. Hey folks! I apologize for all the spam that y'all had to witness earlier today. My team strives to do their best to monitor issues like this in between various other tasks, unfortunately sometimes these incidents occur at times where we are not immediately available. Once we had some hands on deck we immediately began investigating and cleaning up posts. If you are seeing any lingering threads, please report it so that we are made aware and can chuck it into the void. We would like to thank everybody that filed Forum Reports as it definitely helped us a great deal to locate these threads and do some clean up! We will continue to keep our eyes peeled for any rogue princesses. Thanks again!
  2. Hey folks! I cleaned up a couple of posts here so I wanted to drop in a friendly reminder that the forums are not a place for you to air our your personal grievances between yourself and other Residents. If you have an issue with a particular person within Second Life we ask that you please take it elsewhere, or simply block. Disclosing names of other users or stores, etc or chatlogs on the forums to try and make your point is not permitted. I've made a few edits here and there in this thread to remove any information or posts that weren't so nice. As stated previously, if you believe that you encountered any issues in-world that may be a Terms of Service violation please file an Abuse Report and it will be investigated. Due to our Privacy Policy, we cannot inform you of the outcome or disclose any details from our investigations. Additionally, if you purchased an item from another Resident and have any questions or are having issues we strongly encourage you to reach out to the seller as they will be the only ones able to assist you with the purchase. We also strongly recommend that if you do reach out to someone in Second Life due to an issue you're encountering with their product, land, service, etc that you do so in a civil manner. As my Great Great Great Grammy Linden says: "You catch more bees with honey."... Or was it bears? I can never remember. Either way:
  3. Hey there y'all! We take the privacy of our employees and former employees very seriously, and we want to continue to respect that privacy even after they depart. I understand that this person in particular was very important to the community, and many of you may have thoughts and feelings you want to express, however the forums are not an appropriate avenue for such discussions. You're more than welcome to discuss among yourselves through other avenues, such as in-world or privately, etc, but discussions on such topics on the forums may be subject to moderation out of respect for those being discussed.
  4. If you do not have a security question, or would like to change one, you can contact Support by submitting a case and we'll be more than happy to work with you to update that information
  5. Hey there Cleomes! I've gone ahead and edited your original post to remove your Security Question as a safety precaution. We strongly encourage you to NOT share this information. In regards to the verification topic as a whole, depending on the contact we will request verification with a handful of questions. We find that often there are people who do not remember their SQA, so in order to prevent further back and forth we ask a few other questions during the initial verification request. Please also note that it is the responsibility of the Resident to remember important information on their account (such as their Security Question) to make contacts with Support as smooth as possible. If we are discussing account specific details or making any changes/updates to the account, or have concerns regarding ownership of the account (such as in cases where the accounts appears to have been shared), we must verify account ownership to ensure that we are indeed speaking to the account owner. We take user safety and privacy very seriously, and any and all verification information provided in a ticket is removed after verification is either confirmed or denied.
  6. Hey there! As others have mentioned previously, if you are banned from a Resident owned region/parcel or from a Group you will need to take it up with those Residents to see if they will allow you back. We do not get involved with Resident to Resident estate/parcel bans or Group bans/ejections as these are tools provided to users to control who they wish to interact on their land or Groups.
  7. Hey folks! I just wanted to drop in a quick reminder that calling out specific people and accusing them of possible TOS violations is not appropriate for the forums. If you believe that someone is violating the Terms of Service we ask that you please file an Abuse Report so that we may investigate further. Please do not use the forums to name and shame others, it's not cool. Annnd back to the topic of the L$ Assessments: We're happy that we were able to assist with reviewing these, and as mentioned before if anyone comes across any further L$ assessments they would like to have reviewed please feel free to contact me and my team by filing a Support case under: Issue Type: Marketplace > General Marketplace Issues In the meantime we appreciate everyone's patience and understanding while we work on improving this process to reduce the negative impact on our Residents. Stay cool. Be Rad!
  8. Since this thread is pretty old I'm going to go ahead and close this, as there are other topics currently discussing the login issues going on right now. As others have helpfully mentioned, please keep an eye out on the Status Blog for more info while our teams work some magic to get things back to normal!
  9. Hey there Ferba Ferraris! I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing some issues involving L$ assessments from your account. As stated previously, if you would like for us to review the assessment please be sure to submit a Support case under: Issue Type: Marketplace > General Markerplace issues. We'll be more than happy to take a look. Since I see you've made your way to the current active thread on this topic, I'm going to go ahead and close this one.
  10. Hey folks! As mentioned previously, if you encounter any violations of the Covenant, especially the super egregious ones mentioned recently here, please file an Abuse Report. Abnor Mole provided a ton of super helpful tips that makes it much easier for us to investigate, locate and identify the issue. These incidents are just one of several different issues my team looks at and investigates, and it can take some time for us to get to a report but I assure you that we do look into these. So if you see something that you think may be in violation (or in some of the cases listed here, definitely are) please file an Abuse Report. There have been a few issues pointed out in this thread that have not been reported through an Abuse Report. So please remember to do so and do not assume that others will have already filed on on the issue We thank you for your patience and for your help in bringing these things to our attention! Here's a weird gif.
  11. Hey y'all! We're currently aware of this issue and are working to get things all resolved as soon as possible
  12. Hey there LunaEnigma, If you have a friend who has any questions or concerns regarding their account, they may submit an Abuse Appeal ticket so that the account may be reviewed. For privacy and security reasons, we cannot discuss with anyone aside from the account owner. Please be aware that disciplinary action on an account (warnings, suspensions, termination) is only issued when we are able to confirm that a violation of the Terms of Service has taken place after a thorough investigation. We do not action based off of quantity of reports filed (such as people having all their friends report someone they don't like) or based off of false information. Since this is not an appropriate topic for the forums I will be closing this thread.
  13. As others have mentioned here, "voice verification" is not a thing we do. It is a thing that some folks in the community have come up with to advertise/display in their profiles for various reasons.
  14. Well I was going to move this to RP discussion, but since this thread has long since devolved into inappropriate bickering I'm going to go ahead and close this thread.
  15. Welp, it's time to lock this thread. I want to thank everyone who have engaged in civil discussions on this thread, however as things are getting heated and have crossed a line we will be closing this thread. If you would like to continue discussing any of the topics brought up in this thread I would encourage you all to do so in-world or through any other appropriate outlets for these discussions. And remember
  16. Hey there Bernard! If need assistance in updating your account details, please submit a Support Case and we'll help you as best as we can https://support.secondlife.com/create-case/
  17. Alright alright, let's play nice here folks! @Milen Monaron I'm sorry to hear that you're encountering some issues with making a process credit request. Unfortunately we cannot discuss account specific issues on the forums (for your security and privacy), however we will be more than happy to assist you with any questions you may have if you submit a Support case to our Billing team https://lindenlab.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/31000131008-billing-support There's also this handy dandy Knowledge Base page where you can learn more about account balances and process credit requests if you haven't looked it over already:
  18. Hey there David981992! You can find information on how to make a Process Credit Request with the funds in your USD Wallet here: You'll want to make sure that you have selected a Paypal or Skrill account as your payout method for your Process Credit Requests to be sent to. This can all be access by logging into your account on the Second Life website. From there you should be able to make a Process Credit Request to your desired Paypal or Skrill account. If you experience any issues making a Process Credit Request, you are more than welcome to contact our Billing team by submitting a Support Case: https://support.secondlife.com/
  19. Hey there GinaFreumann! I've gone ahead and moved this thread on over to General Discussion since this topic doesn't appear to be related to Linden Homes I'm sorry to hear that you're having some troubles using your payment method to upgrade your alt. If you're not sure which selection to pick when submitting a case you can use: Issue Type: Billing > Real World Payment Method Issues This will get the case to the Billing Team where they can take a look at what's going on and assist you further. ***Edit** I see you've resolved the issue right after my reply, so huzzah!
  20. I'll take the comfy looking robe and you can have the rest 😎
  21. Sorry to hear about the gravity defying trees and creeper lamp posts (or is the tree attacking the lamp post? hmmm?)! I've passed this along to the Land Team for them to take a look
  22. While I understand many of you are all curious about this topic, I am going to have to close it because: This appears to be discussing disciplinary action taken on someone's account, and the forums are not the appropriate place for such discussions. This thread needs to be laid back to rest before it starts to smell. Anyone have a few dozen of those tree air fresheners? So this shall remain....an unsolved mystery. But on a more serious note, if anyone has any questions or concerns regarding their account they are more than welcome to file an Abuse Appeal and we'll take a look.
