  1. I cannot make out if you are a resident on that sim or if you just hang out there. If you are a resident and rent your land/house there I would not bother with the whole petition thing. It is a lost fight and you will just be seen as a troublemaker. As stated many times, they pay for the sim and they have all the power. Just bring your money elsewhere, that is all the power you have. If you just hang out there, don't bother with the petition either. If you just hang there you have no business at all to try and decide who gets to be on that land or not. As a landowner I would consider that very rude, you would try to force the landowner that actually pays for the land to act on your wishes. You might end up being the one that is chased of the sim instead of the RP group:smileysurprised:
  2. That's why I asked you if it was set to Phantom, it will make you sink into it or fall through it. For something you need to walk on this is not a good setting. It is good for walking trough things. I thought maybe it was set to Phantom by accident.
  3. This makes me feel a bit sad. But I do get where you're coming from. I think every creator and merchant feels like trowing in the towel at times. Or let the store just be for a while. Yes, sales will go on for a long time and that gives you itches, from time to time create something just coz it feels good and coz you just did that for such a long time... But ppl change, RL changes, for me at times I just cannot fit SL into RL anymore. Sometimes for a long while but it's still a bit like home. You always go back :matte-motes-big-grin-evil: Glad to hear you have no plans of leaving SL tho! So... what will you do with all that free time on your hands?:matte-motes-delicious:
  4. OK, one other thing popped into my mind, lol. Maybe it has something to do with your avatar hover settings?
  5. I am all out of ideas now. All that now comes to mind... could there be anything invisible rezzed under your grass prim that could result in this drowning maybe? Anyone else got a clue?
  6. I use the Firestorm viewer. For me it goes like this: Select the object, go into edit mode. Object tab, there you can set Physic, Phantom or Temporary, so you select Phantom. If an object is set to phantom you can walk right trough it. Another viewer might be a bit different but similar. EDIT: this still does not explain why you drown in a lawn tho. If it were mesh I would blame bad physics but for a normal prim.... you got me :catlol:
  7. Grievers and haters feed on the attention they receive. Stop feeding the griever and just live your SL. LL are not likely to step in.
  8. Are you aware this is SL clothing advice that is asked for? I think asking your nearby outlet for SL mesh clothing that will fit the mesh body of choice will bring lots of confusion :matte-motes-wink-tongue:
  9. Check for double vertices. Check to see if you uploaded no double object even. Check if you turned on alpha on the texture. If you use PNG and have some dark spots in your texture that may result in weird behavior.
  10. Is the prim set to phantom? That will result in the sinking you describe as the prim does not have any physics that your avatar can walk on.
  11. Viewers and connections acting up are in most cases on the end of the user. Reset your modem, router and computer and give that enough time. Check your internet speed in general. http://www.speedtest.net/ Check your computer for virus and malware. Check your viewer settings, especially the maximum bandwidth. Maybe try another viewer. To make you feel a bit better, SL used to be much worse when it comes to crashes, updates etc..
  12. If you are not making money then perhaps SL isn't for you as well?? Where did you get the idea SL is a job? That it is created to make you money? If you fell for one of those web articles that tell you you will get rich in SL, you were fooled and you need to do a serious reality check. Noting in life is for free, if it looks too good to be true.... blablabla. I do on the other hand hope you realize money isn't everything and SL does offer a lot of other things. It is however possible to make some money, but not in the short time you have been around and certainly not with that attitude.
  13. Oh, again you don't get it. Just speaking for me, but I know there are many like me in SL, I do make money. I make money coz I work/worked very hard. I make some money coz I spend countless days to master Blender, texturing, scripting and I got somewhere I wanted to be. I have a small store and sell my own meshes, I make enough to pay my SL rent, to pay for software I need, to have some L$ to make my land and avatar the way I want it to look. No, I don't make a big profit but I never got into SL to make a profit. I got in to explore, make friends and have fun. I started out by making simple things to make other ppl happy, like make a Christmas tree for my friends. I started out simple, and accidentally got into creating stuff. I would look at stuff at the Marketplace and wonder if I could create stuff like that myself, as I could not always afford all I wanted to buy. So I did... So, I think you could get a long way if you started out with a different attitude. If you would have posted something like... "How do I find sims that are well populated", or like..." I don't get why landowners ban me, what did I do wrong?" Ppl would have helped you. Using the Search option in the forum would have helped too. You choose to start ranting. Next time you wonder why ppl are rude, first look at your own behavior and skip the rant.
  14. Just to set some things straight... Sadly there is no "Oh look I can eject and ban button", let alone more then one. But as a new resident, how could you know... Money making sims are just as rare as new residents that figure out the pro's and con's about SL in such a short time as you did. A script writer can thrash anyone and everyone (stated by you on your profile). Yes, that sounds like you are a very friendly person and I would never dream of banning you from my land. I would never get the feeling you might want to trash my land with your mighty scripts. Feel free to spend some of your free time on teaching a class on how to "not suck on building". Feel free to do that on land you paid for yourself with RL money. Never mind the ppl that cannot behave, banning then for a reason that you see fit, that would not be nice. Try to, just for fun, pretend I come live in your RL neighbourhood. I walk up to you and tell you I planned to spend some time there. I trash you taste in housing, way too small/large/ugly (pick whatever comes to mind). I tell you non of you neighbours are friendly and you all chase me out of your back and front yards that you ofc pay rent for. I rage on about never anyone being at home as you al have to work to pay that rent.
  15. I am very happy about this too! As a store owner is is always a LI fight :matte-motes-big-grin-squint:
  16. You probably have, but have you set the mesh to Prim in the Features Tab? It needs to be set to prim for the physics to work.
  17. Yes, if you have removed the tree and the shadow remains, it is baked into the texture
  18. Ok, because you typed so well this time... Maya will cost you $1470 subscription fee a year so I think you will not get that subscription. Avastar costs a whole lot less, it is very much worth the costs. If you want to get somewhere you have to accept there is a pricetag to that. Everybody in SL has to pay their own way, we all had to invest and there is no way around this. Pls, do accept that as a fact! So you either have to get a job in SL, which is just as hard as learning how to use Blender and just as time consuming, or invest some RL money into SL. Be brave and buy a full perm clothing kit, texture it and put it on the Marketplace. Save your earnings to buy another kit and keep saving your earnings until you can buy Avastar. That is the way it is done, no shortcuts, no freebies. If you are so determent to become an SL creator you will have to decide if you are willing to invest time and money. If not, find another thing you like in SL. And yes, stop making new subjects, this is very confusing! Go with the SL forum flow and your life will be so much more... fun!

They can tell you what sims/clubs/stores to visit to ad to your SL experiences. Have fun! The Kemono has not much to do with furries (and the proportions of furry avatars aren't different from any human avatar in SL, just saying. Everything else is an attachment). Its just a mesh body that has a lot of furry mods as purchaseable options. And it comes with all up- and downsides of mesh bodies in general. A lot of furries bodies do differ from human avatars, in fact, the Kemono was made to make it differ less and to be able to wear clothing other then the clothing made by the body creator.More choices. And yes, with attachments like the animal legs, coz else what would be the point of buying that avatar? I assume if you want to have that style you wanna look like that style. It does make a difference when it comes to clothing. My point was that it is not a "standard size" avatar, yet close to it, and some clothing will just not fit right even when using the alpha layers that come with the body. Hell, even with the big brand bodies you sometimes have to pass on an outfit even tho is is advertised as made for your body! I own a few so I speak from experience. As a last note, when a body is sold as a furry body, I would assume it has something to do with furries? So...hmmm, what was your point anyway and how is this helping the OP?

  21. NO, just simply No. I think someone is trying to pull one over someone...?
  22. Of course I cannot say what is exactly going on here but I do know: - voice can travel over a sim border - voice range and volume are related also to camera position and distance (or were anyway) - you can set a sim to not have the ppl that are there be visible to others from (neighbouring) sims, making them "invisible" on your radar
  23. Still struggling in Cycles here. I am making progress tho, I can now make a nice render, bake a decent diffuse texture and a pretty smooth AO map. Now I have hit another (I hope imaginary) wall.... I would like to bake a simple normal map from a procedural material. Nothing fancy, just metal with some rust spots on it. I want to upload that to SL like I did my normal maps that I baked in Internal. It bakes a flat normal map when I try to do this. To me it seems you can only bake normals from high to low poly in Cycles? I did not create a high poly coz I simply do not need one. It is a simple object, no small details that would need a high poly version. I want to fake the little detail it has (the rust) with some displacement and bake that to a normal map. I know I can make a normal map in other software, like Crazybump or Gimp, but that would give me less control to fine tune it. Am I missing something, is there a way around this?
