  1. Seems like we german's aren't blessed (cursed?) with huge **bleep**. ;
  2. That is exactly why I am so curious about it, but I suppose we'll never figure out the mystery
  3. Syo Emerald wrote: Its not the eyes. Infact, I love to see some avatar that hasn't these squishy small eyes that scream "hey, look how hard and sexy I look!" I think its more the hair, combined with the skin that makes her look more like a teen and the clothes add to that first feeling. Its never just one thing that makes the look. For example, I have an alt, who has a smiliar skin and still she just looks cute, but not like a teen. And to cheer you up ICade, in your forum picture I think your avatar looks like an adult Lol! Ironically, I wear a knit sweater and then a dancing outfit and my avi looks like a teen but when I bring out my Cupcake Dress and funky hair I look like an adult I agree, the skin coupled with the hair seems to be giving that impression. I'll keep that style for some of my avatars, I just think she's cute as a button and love it that way But thanks for the responses, I understand it a bit better now how people draw that conclusion. Thankfully I don't go to adult places often at all, only to fish and some stores so it's not an issue. And I apologise for having come off as rude when I stated that you have to dress a certain way to look like an adult, I wasn't thinking at all when I typed that >.< I sat down earlier, grabbed one of my glam affair skins and made a shape and hopefully successfully created a thoroughly adult looking avatar But for the record, I have never seen a teen with double D's Amethyst, not sure how frequent breast implants are in other parts of germany but where I live I don't know anyone, never mind a teen who has them and I am paying attention lol. x3
  4. Taste successfully hit, kudos to you man for simply going for it and me liking it so much I'll buy it Keep it up.
  5. It's because of the indoors lightning at the home, both pictures were shot with the same windlight. And I believe we can agree to disagree then. I do not see how she's looking like a teen at all. Honestly, I simply cannot see it. It's an adult skin, on an adult shape, wearing adult clothes. I suppose I shouldn't have started wearing D!va hair >.>
  6. Strange, as the shape is very womanly. The skin is light on make up and heavy on the gloss. There really is no feature that makes her truly a teen other than what people perceive based on the color of her clothes and perhaps the flowers in her hair. The skin is not intended to be a teen skin either. To show you the difference clothing can make, here's her in a wholly different outfit: The only difference is the outfit, the mini devil horns and the septum ring as well as a change of glasses. Everything else is the same. Does she still look like a teen? I wouldn't say so, her skin is as smooth as many other avatars, I could probably give her squinty eyes and a frowny mouth like it's a fad among bloggers and she'd look even less like a teen but that's not how I roll lol.
  7. What would the land impact generally be for a whole sign? None of that single letter idea. My store is called abomination. A rather long word. What's the lowest impact you could have it at, without too much LOD issues? And what would be the cost?
  8. I am not saying the reaction is wrong, I am saying I simply cannot fathom that reaction. I suppose to have my avatar seen as an adult in SL I need to have my lola's hanging out instead of hiding them behind a rather well done knit sweater.

That is something I have to struggle with. My avatar is 6 foot tall, 4 inches taller than I am in RL. Yet I am seen as a teenager sometimes, merely because I don't dress slutty. This is me fishing. Apparently I am too colorful to be a real adult! (Yes, I am prepared for winter time on a beach. I love SL<3) I love making my avatar look cute as a kitten, hence why she's a neko. However that does not mean my avatar is a teeanger. You can be cute as a button while being neither, a child nor a teenager. While it is true that adults at times will dress very uniquely, I don't think it would be unreasoanble for someone looking at your Ava to think "child." So I am bound to dress either in bland colors or to wear slutty attire? What exactly is wrong witih wearing a boho knit sweater and thigh high socks? And glasses? And mind you, I was never mistaken for a child, just a teenager. Even when wearing LOLA TANGO'S. Right, I've never seen a teenager with a double D rack.

  12. Still incredibly curious about this If anyone at all can shed some light on this I'd love to hear it!

  14. You don't need to verify your age, you merely need to set your viewer preferences to adult to be able to access it. Setting your maturity preferences Choose Me > Preferences and click on the General tab to choose the maturity rating of content you want to see. 15. That is a very general question best asked google as there is literally tons of seams guides for Photoshop, both in written form and on youtube. If you for some reason don't like google, you could post this in the Building & Texturing sub forum and have other's google for you x3
  16. I found this thread on the matter when someone else had the same problem. Please read the answers and see if they help you, too! http://community.secondlife.com/t5/Viewers/Does-anyone-know-how-to-fix-quot-the-Certification-authority-for/qaq-p/2237409
  17. Out of sheer curiousity, why is voice verification needed? It's a land rental, not a sex club?
  18. Cerise Sorbet wrote: iCade wrote: what is more likely? LL giving them the go ahead? Or them blatantly lying? The second, of course. LL doesn't commit to anything like that, and by now I'd expect that everybody knows "no way that the files can be recorded, or exported out of SL" is hogwash. You'd be surprised. Obviously, the one in charge of a rather large sales group believed them that it was legal as they kept promoting them. I wrote them again today, and the above was the justification of it. How someone can believe it's legal to buy a song off amazon and sell it in SL and claim LL allows it is beyond me, but disturbingly enough,it's a true story.
  19. No names are being named, but I am aware of a situation that has boggled my mind just a tad. Person A has a store selling content made my real life artists. They purchased this content through amazon and claim that they have double and tripple checked with LL for it to be legal. And I quote: "LL allows this as there is no way that the files can be recorded, or exported out of SL. As long as they are kept in world there is no problem." First off. They purchased a copy of said material from amazon. Such a copy is a license for private use. It is not a license to play it it front of a large audience and it certainly isn't a license to SELL it. The kicker however is, LL has absolutely no say in the matter, the copyright lies with the owner of the material, not LL. So considering they double and triple checked with LL, what is more likely? LL giving them the go ahead? Or them blatantly lying? Bringing this to attention has obviously made me the bad guy as it's all kept hush hush. Find a copybotter? Tar and feather them! Find someone who sells other people's works and gets advertised in sales groups? Tar and feather me!
  20. You only buy land on private estate and then you pay a tier box. You do not 'buy' land on mainland to rent it, you buy it and it's yours or directly pay a tier box without buying it to rent. So you're still advertising in the wrong forum section. If you actually want to rent your land out, you might just listen and advertise to the correct market. Posting your add here is like a a car rental advertising to people only wanting to buy a car...not rent it. How successful do you think that'll be?
  21. This sub forum is for selling mainland, not renting it out. So you're advertising to the wrong market :3
  22. Hi there, you can find job offerings in the sub-forum called: Inworld Employment You can also use the in client search to search for job agencies and the likes. But just like in real life, you'll need to have knowledge and be good at something. Whether it's emoting, hosting, creating or advertising. There is no job for just standing there looking pretty Unless you consider modeling, but there's hardly a demand for models as creators can simply use alts or bots for that.
  23. Holy crap these are hilarious! Going to watch them all
  24. Hi there! Don't freak out, it means the sim is restarting. Sometimes it can take a few minutes to be back up. If you've been waiting for longer than that, and since you own the mainland you're a premium user, and have the right to use live chat. Use that right and inquire what's going on with your home sim
  25. First off, you're posting in the wrong forum section where your thread will probably be overlooked. Furthermore, there is no lost revenue for hair creators as you seem to be the only one thus far suffering from this. I was hair shopping just earlier and I tend to buy blonde's or light browns and I wear a lot of pastel colors including cream. I, nor anyone I know has had this problem. Clear your cache, if that doesn't help manually clear your cache. Report back if you still have issues and this time, use a more appropiate forum section.
