  1. I'd strongly advise your girlfriend sell her own property. While you certainly can sell them with her permission I just can't fathom why she would want you to. As has been said, that is one big can of worms if you two ever break up.
  2. Good luck with trying to have residential rentals when there's a club on the beach. I can't imagine someone wanting to live on a sim that will be laggy as all hell and if the club takes off they might not even be able to teleport there. Club = Major Lag Beach Hangout = Lag Club AND Beach Hangout = Holy **bleep**! That's not a chilly vacationing feeling, that's going to be a lagtastic hair pulling experience lol. ETA: Your prices also seem to be a bit out there. 4750L*5 = 23.750L 4750*4 = 19.000L You can get full prim sims for 17.000L a week (no promotional offer). So the cost would be about 3400L per week if you get 5 people on board. Quite a difference.
  3. Are you seriously expecting people to work all week long for $0.21 ? Those who would take their job serious would spend hours per week, if not more. Estate Manager is a very time consuming job. Would YOU spend hours each week working for someone for less than a quarter?
  4. http://community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/Account-credentials/ta-p/700017#Section_.5 What to do if your account is compromised Your account may have been compromised if: You can't access your account. You suddenly notice a reduced available balance on the payment source you have on file. If this happens, contact us immediately! Here's what to do: Go to the Second LIfe Help page and log in if you can. If you can't access your account, use the Forgot your login information? link on the right to recover your username and reset your password. Then log in. On the Second LIfe Help page page, click the Contact Support link on the right. On the next page, click Submit a a Support Case form. Under What type of problem are you having?, select Account Issue. A second dropdown appears. Under Account Issue, select I believe my account has been compromised. Fill in the rest of the fields as directed. Click Submit. Check your email for your case number. Call our fraud number: 800-860-6990. Once you do this, Linden Lab will place your account on hold and investigate the relevant transactions. This may take a few days. Once we have concluded the investigation, we'll send you an email explaining our conclusion and the action we will take. Note that all transactions involving Linden dollars are subject to Linden Lab's Terms of Service.
  5. I have not and probably will not indulge in the BDSM scene, yet I know exactly what I stands for and the symbol for it. Just because someone is not in that scene doesn't mean they're not educated about it. BDSM is adult, no matter which way you put it or no matter how you justify a lower rating. It's adult and as has been said, either live with the product being adult rated or remove the symbol.
  6. In addition to filing a ticket you might find this thread about the very same issue an interesting read: http://community.secondlife.com/t5/Merchants/Did-not-receive-payment-from-an-order/td-p/1421785
  7. Valerie is spot on. The landowner can ban you for any reason or no reason at all. It's their land after all, they pay for it, so logically they get the power to allow or disallow individuals into their home. It's just like in real life, you rent or own a flat or house and you can ban people from entering. Now your RL home might not have a security orb but it sure has a telephone to call the police to make sure that the ban is enforced
  8. Have you tried Phoenix's twin Firestorm? I can also recommend Singularity. Also, make sure your firewall doesn't block SL or any of the viewers you may be trying to use.
  9. Have you tried relogging? I tried out singularity yesterday, and had the same problem with mesh hair. A relog fixed the issue and the hair showed up.
  10. Instead of starting at the top with no knowledge I'd suggest that if you /really/ want to get into the market to start as a sales agent for one of the estate managers. There's several hiring and you will get to know the job as you move up the ranks. You will also realise how easy/hard it is to sell land and you'll also get introduced to the various problems, questions, concerns the tenants have. Never start directly at the top as it'll go wrong 99% of the time.
  11. It's an SL glitch, and has nothing to do with abuse and griefing. The store owner certainly isn't out to scam you, it's out of their power when the market place hiccups. Contact the store owner if they could send you the items again. If the transaction times out after 8 hours you will automatically get your Linden back. If it hasn't timed out and you have not heard back from the store owner after 48 hours you can file a ticket. Store owners are people too, they may not be in SL every single day, so do leave them ample time. Again, its the marketplace that screws up, the store owner can't do anything about it and they certainly don't maliciously cause it. SL is to blame here, not the store owner.
  12. I made clothes on another platform with PSP while following Photoshop tutorials. It's definitely possible, you'll just have to think outside the box at times, and knowing the programm well makes the translation progress much faster. If you don't know PSP too well yet I'd suggest doing tutorials for it, and once you have a grasp on the programm look into the clothing tutorials. Don't get ahead of yourself, take your time!
  13. What you can do is create a family group, and invite all those to the group you wish to have as family members. As a group owner you can give roles that you can name freely, for example; husband, daughter, brother and so on. That way you can all stay in touch and belong to something
  14. Emmet: I work at IMPAXX And since there's so many hot studs in here already, we shall commence with the elfish cute interlude. Interlude over, back to the studs.
  15. When I am not busy looking cute I enjoy looking hot while shaking it at my favourite club
  16. I am not sure I understand you right but from what I gathered you think that ocean view land is always privately owned? Sorry that's not the case. There's a lot of ocean view land that LL themselves own and that isn't handled by a private estate manager.
  17. Right click on furniture you have and check the prim count. If you have a couch that's 50 prim, then that's far too high. You can buy a lot of couches with great poses that only use 10 prim. When buying furniture always right click on it to check the prim count (or if you shop in the catalog check the prim count the creator has stated on the sales page) and always shop with that in mind. There's a lot of furniture out there that has a very low prim count so you'll be able to furnish your home with the essentials just fine. Though, if you would like more prims to decorate your home more, you should consider buying a bigger plot of land.
  18. Check your recent tab in your inventory. Or if you remember part of the item name, type it into your inventory search.
  19. Little pet peeve of mine. Those people are -not- hackers. Unless they somehow really -did- enter your friends accounts all they are is a bunch of liars. But don't worry, when LL concludes the investigation of your friends accounts they'll be right back in the game (hopefully) and I'd like to think that those individuals who wrongly contacted LL and got their accounts on hold will be punished.
  20. You can find the french forum section here: http://community.secondlife.com/t5/Forum-fran%C3%A7ais/bd-p/FrenchForum =)
  21. Never, ever, EVER give your password to ANYONE. No reason justifies your account to be compromised. NEVER EVER GIVE OUT YOUR PASSWORD TO -ANYONE- Beside that, she can give you a make over without needing to be in your account, she can recommend you clothes and since you're not a toddler I am sure you're able to put them on all by yourself. And again because I can't stress this enough: NEVER EVER GIVE OUT YOUR PASSWORD TO -ANYONE-
  22. If you know the name all you have to do is put their name into the search, then click on the search result with their name and the "IM" button, voila
