Sounds like a router issue to me. Disable HTTP Textures in the Develop Menu (CTRL+ALT+Q) as a first measure. That may fix it without doing anything else. There may be compatibility issues with your router. Do a search for "Second Life" and the brand of your router and see if anyone else is having issues with that brand. Some ISP's use various throttling schemes, etc. that will cause problems with Second Life. Also always connect directly to your DSL router with a cable instead of using wireless. Hello! I have done some searching in the answer section and found a thread where a person has had the same problem you do. LoveAngeL Lyre has graciously responded with this: Hello Elize. At first open your inventory, write something in search there and wait fetching ALL your items till the last one. After that, try to rebake your textures with Ctrl+Alt+R. Also move to a region with less lag. Smith is a protected land which is recommended. There, try to change outfit. Choose one with just the necessary stuff (skin, shape, hair, eyes, pants and shirt) without any attachments. Something else you can do is the test your avatar. In Viewer 2 give the command: Menu Develop (Ctrl+Alt+Q) --> Avatar --> Character Tests --> Test Male / Female. If the problem remains, clear your cache (XP) - C: \ Documents and Settings \ (USER NAME) - AppData \ SecondLife (Vista) - C: \ Users \ (USER NAME) \ AppData - Local \ SecondLife (Win 7) - C: \ Users \ (USER NAME) \ AppData - Roaming \ SecondLife Delete everything in that folder and restart first your computer and after the program. Usually the folder Appdata is a hidden folder. No, only the creator can give you a modifyable version. There is no way for you to make something no-mod into modify. If the creator doesn't want you to tinker with something of theirs you're out of luck. Personally I never buy no mod shapes, it just seems so cookie cutter and I love fiddling around with my shapes D:

Have you tried to detach every single clothing item you use? I had this problem just yesterday, the culprit was the eye-make up malfunctioning. I detached it and my head showed up normal, then re-attached it. It hasn't been grey ever since, but it does sometimes happen that layers seem to get a bit temperamental.

Ist dein Grafikkartentreiber aktuell? Schau mal nach egal wie jung deine Grafikkarte ist! Bist du dir auch ganz sichter das keine Firewall den Zugriff auf SL verhindert? Hast du denn schon mal einen 3rd party viewer benutzt? Das ist ein Viewer wie der SL Viewer hat aber mehr optionen und läuft auch besser, zu empfehlen sind Phoenix, Firestorm und Singularity. Du kannst deinen post editiren, oder im Technischen Bereich des Forums posten, oder im deutschen falls du keine englischkenntnisse hast. Edit: Die Mehrheit der SL nutzer benutzen 3rd party viewers, da der normale SL viewer einfach nur schlecht ist besonders von der performance her. Firestorm, Phoenix und Singularity gibt es nun schon seit Jahren, ich selber nutze Firestorm seit anfang an und finde diesen weitaus angenehmer als der SL viewer. Keine Ahnung warum leute schreiben das andere Viewer schwerer zu erlernen sind, das ist völliger Mist.

Hello! I took a long hiatus due to work, but I am back now and downloaded the lasted firestorm release. Everything seems to be working fine, but when I wish to visit a store from the marketplace "Visit this location" link, I do not get the teleport pop up in the client. I am entirely confused why it's not working, has anyone had similar experiences and knows a fix? Please and thank you!

Do you mean the snapshot feature? On the contrary you can press your prnt scrn button on your keyboard and paste the screenshot into an image edition programm. Alter it to your hearts content, and upload the image. Same thing, only you have more control and the result will look much better.

None of these options would enable the person do return/delete any of your items. What you allowed them to do is exactly what is stated in the window. They can rezz things, but they cannot meddle with anyone else's objects. I am quite stumped as to why your items are gone, you never did get a pop up message that your items were returned? The estate owner you are renting with would have to power to send items back. And even then all he/she could do is return these items, making them show in your lost and found folder. No one can delete your items so they gotta be somewhere.

It's simple logic really, the bigger the game, the more attention people will pay to it. Ergo, the higher the chance of AR's being filed against that game and the higher the chance of LL looking into it.

How could you possibly know the creator was not contacted by LL? Unless you are him/her there is no absolue way for you to know. Also, file all the tickets you want, this issue is between LL and the creator and you as an outsider will not be involved, and they certainly won't tell you anything, which is their right, and the logical thing to do. They don't tattle about things that aren't your business. You may be affected but you are not in any way in the position to demand answers. Only the game creator is. Personally, I did play games on gaming sim's before and have yet to find a game where actual skill is involved on these gaming sim's. Pretty surprising LL hasn't taken down more games. Only having 5 seconds to click a number is NOT skill, getting wild cards and using them is NOT skill. It's chancing.

Didn't see the question earlier, but yes, it's considered cheating, BUT, big but here; some merchants forget that hunts are supposed to be fun. When a hunter has to stay at your store for over half an hour and still hasn't found the item you are doing it wrong. All you accomplish as a merchant is frustrate those honest hunters who are not likely to come back. Also, there's hiding and then there's being a douche about hiding the item. I have had it twice before that I found the hunt item INSIDE walls. No hunter looks inside things, and I am pretty sure most hunt organizers forbid this. I found these two out of sheer dumb look because I have set my camera to be able to go through prims. It's actually a firefox DEFAULT to NOT let your camera cam through prims and people who don't know they can change that option will never find the hunt item. As a merchant, make finding the hunt item fun, give out a witty clue, make it hard but not THAT hard. As a costumer I use hunts to find shops, and I use the prizes to gauge quality in those shops. And more often than not I am impressed by the witty hunt tip, the store look, the items that I come back and buy, at times I buy right away. But if you frustrate me? I won't be throwing my L at you unless it's to hurt you.

He is asking why Second Life says it's free but then they give you the option of becoming a VIP, to him that doesn't make SL free after all. Brisco - You can fully enjoy the world that is Second Life without ever spending a cent on it. You can get clothing through lucky chairs and hunts, you can get an inworld job to make currency with. Being a VIP member is just a perk you can choose to get, but it's not a must. I have multiple friends who have enjoyed Second Life for years without ever having spent any money.
