Its currently working for me in Portal V.

Portals IV and V both currently have crystals on Tyra's Peak and around the workshop. I've just been collecting in both of those.

Currently there isn't one single orange collector that's working. Usually I manage to find one but today, nothing. I am starting to think that they have all been turned off on purpose to combat the bots that seem to go only for orange crystals.

Medhue, what priority are the animations in your AOs? I'm looking for animations of priority 3 or less (so they will be compatible with my wheelchair).

I can understand the desire to find companions of a similar age. I often find that I have nothing in common with younger residents - although they may be very nice people, we have no common experience and it's much harder to keep a friendskhip going without common ground.

I hang out at The Shelter a lot and there's a steady stream of day-old avatars coming in all the time. Then there's a bunch of old-timers who've been there years. What I see far less of, is avatars in my own sort of age-range - just a few months old. I find this very curious.

I bet "Evil Resident" went pretty quick.

Did Torley write and/or perform the ambient music in Linden Realms? Can the full versions of each piece be listened to online anywhere?

Tellaq has a lot of mature skins for men but they're rather expensive.

I play regularly and I notice from time to time that it takes longer for the crystals to re-rezz. They always do eventually thogh. I guess it's just server issues?

I don't think I've seen any mesh things yet so I don't care.

So.. after this change is implemented, will I be able to change my name from "RoderickVaughn Resident" to "Roderick Vaughn", as it should have been in the first place? Or will it have to be "RoderickVaughn Somethingelse"? I hate the thought of having to start up a whole new avatar just to get the right name.

Male Prim height 1.94m (6'4"), Linden Lab viewer 1.74m (5'8.5"). 7.5 inches difference. I definitely don't want to be as short as I am in RL so I'm leaving my avatar right there.

Every few minutes the textures on my avatar (not prims, just skin & clothing) goes blurry for a few seconds and then goes back to normal. I've been told to turn off HTTP textures which I did, but it hasn't helped. I was also advised to "rebake" which only seems to force my avatar to do what it's already doing all by itself. I have a decent gaming desktop, I'm getting around 40fps on average and I have a wired internet connection, so I don't think it's hardware. Is there anything else I can try or is this just "normal behaviour" for SL?

First, I have some items of clothing (texturelayers not prims) that I cannot "add". Only the "Wear" option appears in the dropdown menu, the "Add" option is missing. Yet it's present for everything else, even for items with the same permissions. Second, I often can't "touch" things by just left-clicking them. Instead, I have to right-click, open the menu and select Touch, then it works. Only certain items are affected, some are mine and some belong to others, some I've made myself and some I've bought, and it's consistent with each item. Yes I have checked that my mouse is functioning properly and it is. Both of these problems have been ongoing since I first acquired or used the items (weeks in some cases) and I have logged in and out and cleared cache in the meantime, it hasn't helped. I'm using the latest official LL viewer.

There isn't any way to edit or add to the avatar picker. You can store your personal avatars in the "My Outfits" section. This will save the whole avatar not just your clothes. You just don't get a fancy picture of it.

I second (and third and fourth) the suggestions to contact Virtual Ability. I've not been in SL long and though I don't need any assistive tech to be able to use SL, they've been a wonderfully supportive community. There are tools available to help vision-impaired people use SL. Don't ask me how it works but they have a scripted "guide dog" that can help her get around. There are also speech-to-text tools that work with SL, if she has trouble typing.

Do morph-makers have written permission from the photographers of the original images, to use their copyrighted work? I think I can guess the answer to that.

I use the beta version of the official viewer. I have tried Firestorm but it lacks the profile feed feature which I use regularly. I like to be able to send snapshots to it and the official beta is the only viewer that will do this.
