  1. It's not weird and I haven't gotten over it It took me a long time to find another skin that didn't change my face. I only have 2 skins. My original on this av and the one I finally purchased. I was lucky to find one that didn't change my face. I never wanted to change my look, just enhance the realism of the skin. I can fully understand picking the new skins apart, because they don't feel like the same as when you connected with your av when you made her
  2. Sorry you are having that problem and it's not funny. I think everyone that reads this forum knows how much research you put into deciding on your pc and card. I also doubt you don't know what you're working with.. I am not sure why manufactures mess up, my card came with everything, over a year ago and the monitor also had adapters which is also over a year old. As far as the slot cover, I would take the one and use electrical tape on the inside (will be tricky maybe someone can hold the cover for you on the outside) and tape it inside the cover. It should stay as I had a case before that I did that with. Hope you get the adapter soon they should 2 day it to you.
  3. It doesn't sound stupid at all Sephina. I just had the anniversaries of both my parents passing, very close together, to this day I still have a hard time on those days. Feel free to IM me if you want to go somewhere and talk, I would enjoy that *Hugs*

Well, which side is really the 'selfish' side? The one that is willing to let people who can no longer keep up with 5 year old technology slide by the wayside, or the one who insists the rest of the world that is on technology made somewhere in the last 5 years be held stagnant for them? Its a harsh way to put it - but technology moves forward and you end up having to choose - cater to people who have current technology, letting the application grow to become more stable, faster, and accept larger loads... or cater to people who are using technology of a former decade. A choice has to be made, either way. And because SL is not paid for by the government, its a private business, and it needs to keep attracting customers - so it makes some sense for it to try to cater to newer technology and to improve long standing weakpoints in the tech. When I speak to people about buying computers... I tend to recommend computers in the mid-range, so you can get a lower price and get technology that will be good for about 4 to 5 years... The less money you have, the MORE research you do before spending it: because deals are out there for very good machines that will last a while. - I've had periods where I have fallen behind, but I try to stay within a 4-5 year per update period, 3 if I'm doing well in work at the time. I said that because of comments people make. Nothing wrong with having a heart. I would not want technology to stop and stand still because of that, but I don't think that posting rude comments about those who have a hard time keeping up with technology and changes selfish. I want and expect change, I just don't rub in in anyone's face if I have the ability, that's all and remain humble knowing that my situation can change at any given time.
  5. This is one of the first AO's I have used. I like it for certain places because there is movement, it's smooth and you stay in your own place. It also is pretty inexpensive. I would try it out at their in world store. https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/VISTA-ANIMATIONS-SEXYGIRL-AO/298456
  6. No, I understand. The OP seemed worried about someone reporting him for a generic message that possibly came from a hud (or whatever the object was) but didn't say anything that could make an AR against him successful. I was just adding that there are some things in local that is against the TOS.
  7. Local chat does if it's doing something against the TOS as with a certain vendor how it spurts out in local that you are an alt or a griefer. That is against the TOS. If local chat violates a persons privacy re: rl it can't be used either.
  8. Was it said in local chat for others to see? I don't think LL would do anything if this person reported you, they obviously have something enabled for that text to appear. The info hubs are so crowded you can't help but accidentally bump someone. I wouldn't worry about this at all. The av is not actually logging you, it could be a combat hud or something.
  9. No this is not a therapy group, but it is topic related. Some pc's can barely keep ppl in sl now. Just because I have some kind of heart doesn't mean I am trying to save the world, I consider myself to be a decent human being. I understand how the viewers work. Anyways I didn't say you didn't have a right to post your feelings. I tried to explain Trinity is not a mean person, whatsoever.
  10. Orca, I will say that Trinity has no mean bone in her body as well. Many people don't want to lose contact with or see the people they have come to care about here lose the ability to come inworld and enjoy the time with them as we have in the past. I am sure there are a lot of people who feel that way. When people feel passionate about a subject and when that response is text, it's hard to understand the actual feeling.
  11. Again, you missed my point. That was called an example. Thanks for the conversation
  12. Thank you This happened to me early on using FS on this av when I was about 2 weeks old, I didn't know what to do and I ended up having to do all the suggestions you posted. When it happened these past 2 times I had noticed that I got messages stating gestures were not loading, so it was I guess I took to recreate the bridge and Bingo it worked!
  13. Be careful when you go to rezz them out that you have enough space and you are in the middle of your parcel so nothing goes off world or onto someone else's parcel. I still think some of your no copy objects went back into a folder or sub folder where you first rezzed the object out. I had picked up an entire Victorian city I had built in the sky on my sim to move it to another sim. and some of my no copy items ended up in my objects folder or the original location (I toss the folders that are empty so they ended up in the sub folder I had originally stored them in) instead of the little cluster of blocks in my lost and found. Good luck in finding all your things.

You said you picked them all up in a group.. They will be in the box that looks like a rubics cube if you picked them all up at one time.If you returned them to yourself they will be in your lost and found in the same kind of broken looking box Yes and also the name of that little cluster of boxes will be the name of the last object picked up. I have had no copy objects go into my object folder or the original place it was first rezzed from too when I picked up multiple objects at once to pull into inventory.
  15. In the past I have had to use the suggestions that were given. I have had this happen to me a few times in the past 2 weeks and I am not using a wireless connection. I went to Avatar > create LSL Bridge and changed to another saved outfit after the bridge was created. I was no longer a white egg, I saw my avatar. As I said all the answers you were given used to be the only way to change from that egg shape, but for some reason the above worked for me.

(This has been debunked by personal examples from various people.) I could list a lot more such "positive" statements but these are a few that go to your point, Malanya. Good points Czari, but it seems that caring about others or feeling sad that some of your friends experience will be no longer isn't the way to think Of course we all know that technology changes quickly, I am sure we know change is good, but I would HOPE that we also know acting like the people that can't afford to upgrade don't belong here is just damn rude.

Saying that people in foreign countries don't count is a sad way to think, but it's their thought to think. Yeah, but Malanya, maybe that's the point - maybe non-Americans don't feel 'foreign' in SL - maybe they feel they belong to SL as much as any American, and maybe it's something to do with Americans seeing them as foreigners in what they consider their own virtual nation which is at the root of the issue. I agree. I didn't separate them into a category, the posters did. I don't think anyone in sl should be made to feel "foreign" to this world or forum. I have stated that many times that sl is made up from people all over the world and not just the US. I also feel tolerance goes a long way. Actually, nobody talked about 'foreigners'. The discussion has revolved around the entire worldwide SL community and a contest open only to RL US citizens. Unless my eyesight deceives me, you're the only one in the whole thread who's described some SL residents as coming from 'foreign' countries. Listen, Malanya, here's the thing - like many people, I imagine, I signed up for something described as a virtual world. Not a nation - a world. And in fact SL is - as you said - made up of people from all over the planet. I probably discovered there was an American company behind it several months, maybe even a year or so in, however, this 'discovery' was a non-discovery - it made no difference to me - why should it have? - and though I can't mind-read the creator, I'm guessing it was never meant to be a digital America which other nationalities could visit, but not actually be citizens of. Would I have signed up for a virtual America? Maybe not - or, then again, maybe I would have - as a digital tourist to a nation which in RL I have not visited. Could have been interesting. But would I have set up home there, as I did in SL? Mm. No, I doubt it - I actually would have been foreign there. However, that's not what I've ever perceived SL as. Maybe it was, in its beginning, but by the time I heard about it and joined, it was a global phenomenon, albeit tangibly Western in nature, and appeared to be populated with people from every corner of our planet. Sure, I get that the clever man who invented it is American, and consequently his company is located in the US. So, yes, I get that LL is American and must abide by US laws first and foremost (though if I've understood correctly, if I broke a British law in here, I'd be liable for prosecution in the UK - not sure me crying 'But I was virtually in America!!!' would be of much help), but surely SL itself was never meant to be America? How would SL's virtual Japan and Italy and China and Africa fit into the equation? And what would that make me and so many others? Teleporting Tourists? Virtual Visitors? Imaginary Immigrants? So, unless I've totallymisunderstood the spirit of the thing, there are no 'foreigners' inside SL, regardless of where our RL bodies are sitting. LOL Carole, what is YOUR point? I am not excluding people in sl, I will repeat.. I have posted many times that sl is for everyone around the globe and it has nothing to do with where LL is based. If you took my comment as you quoted above that I used the word "foreign countries" as a way of separating residents here, then I am sorry you have misunderstood. BTW, where was your post on a thread not too long ago defending how everyone, no matter what their native language should know the language to a tee as a few "kind" posters pointed out that this is an English forum. That was ridiculous. The same people and a few more had fun mocking others abilities to type here as English was not their native language. Yeah, so I think you took what I posted out of context, but again, it's your opinion of my words and the meaning behind them.

  19. lol.. I asked because sometimes I have that problem wearing mesh jewelry or shoes. I haven't updated FS viewer yet.. so not sure if it will be better after I do. I found that if I took off one of the mesh attachments, they all came back so I am not sure why it happens, but that's how I get them back when it does
  20. Yeah I know no one was seeking counsel or expect an outcome from here. Saying that people in foreign countries don't count is a sad way to think, but it's their thought to think.
  21. LOL the drinks are never ending, isn't that nice? We can pick up whomever you wish, pigs too lol it's your party
