Not all visitors are such however, hence the further restrictions on the two remaining parcels as well as having all possible rezzed content set to group access only. It seems some fail to understand that Second Life is what those who use it wish to make of it and that we are quite free to deny others the use of our content. I don't begrudge those who wish to openly share everything they have ... and I expect the same in return when I choose not to share what I have. So reasonable, sensible and said with respect to all opinions. Kudos to you Knowl.

We offer many things at no cost to our renters. While my own sl residence is a private sim I don't feel that is because I am paranoid, greedy, selfish or any of the rude names said to the other poster. I give a lot back to residents in sl including an entire recreational sim because I enjoy making someone's sl experience fun in any way I can. If I have something a resident needs or wants I set it out for them. My home and what I do with it is no one's business. People spend money in sl or there wouldn't be an sl for all to enjoy, but some places are just not public and that needs to be respected. I don't spend money in sl to feel entitled, I do it for many reasons. Sure people can have things without spending money, those are their rights and laugh all you want, show immaturity and a classless person, It is not anyone's right to decide or judge how people that do spend money should share their objects. Again, if people didn't spend money in sl what would you see, what about the creators that give away thousands of freebies? For those of you that rent what would you rent? I feel good about what I do in sl and how I can help someone have the home they love and most of it is from my inventory and I am more then happy to do what I can for anyone.

What were we misguided into by the topic and the first few posts (that changed their tone after replies) by this person? Was this misleading to get people to participate in some study and is THAT ethical? I find this whole thread she/he started to possibly (using the word loosely here) mislead people into this non-discussion. Wonder if there is any guidelines about this? I think ethics and morals apply to the OP and in no way a DJ using an alt. Just saying. LOL and replies change from post to post first we don't care about other people and then we are intelligent. Should I laugh now or look into ethics on misleading people in the sl forum to be quoted and edited in some blog? Hmm...

You're welcome Walt, I would have never known that until I had inventory returned to me and freaked out as I thought it was gone lol, tried filters, going back to the time it was returned , etc. Then when I started returning to others I seen how it has to come back as one object unless you return items individually. Hi Walt, I can understand your frustration about rentals and Landowners and things happening with no warning causing people to be homeless and lose their inventory, I have heard horror stories from other people that rented from nonreputable landowners. I did just want to mention that when I send back a renters objects when they are no longer renting it will go into their objects folder or lost and found folder. The objects are shown as a block with many little blocks (like when you have a set of furniture that is to be rezzed all at one time, it looks like that in inventory) and the name next to that object usually does't make sense, it will have the name of one of the objects contained in the whole group. That is how it comes back when a landowner returns objects. The landowner has no control over that, it's just how it works. I am not sure about how objects get returned or if they do when a sim closes or a landowner lets go of a sim, I have never been in that situation and the landowner I help would never do that. I am sorry that this has happened to your friend, I suggest that if you don't purchase your own land that when you rent you check out the paerson you are renting from. I just wanted to point out about the inventory return and it's normal process with sl. Inventory can have other serious issues for sure and that is usually an sl tech problem but can be rectified with a few steps. You want to use the land w/o paying at all? Wondering if you know how much sims, homesteads cost in USD? You didn';t even specify how long this 6 part series would take, meantime sim owner pays out real money?

Hi Robin, I have had the same problem, my internet is fast and my computer has enough to run SL with little or no problems. I have found that Tattoo layers were causing the new outfit or look I had changed into to. I Use Firestorm and wear 5 tattoo layers. If I remove a makeup Tattoo layer, my new outfit shows and I rebake at least once and then replace the tattoo layer I took off. I am not sure if this will fix your problem but it's worht a try. Yes I agree people will take things out of context on every forum and some do enjoy being the forum police, like the gems that are always correcting people's spelling and grammar. No one should apologize for their opnion, just an attack. You don't need to explain yourself, it is what it is and surely not the end of either world. I am sorry my post came accross the wrong way, I was trying to joke. We should take things lightly if it's not malicious and be able to respect both sides. BTW LOL I did notice a month ago that some outfit I was wearing had a facelight that lite up my sim and I was laughing as I could not believe how bright it was. While I neither care if people wear them or not and I have and still do at times when taking photos, I think if people were more open to constructive critism people in general would be more educated and happier sl or rl. If I can learn from someone else I find that to be of value as long as it was not presented mean. Just laugh at it all and don't regret.

@Faye yes there are avi's named Malanya. I know by experience shopping inworld and on MP that 1) sometimes you don't receive your purchase or the item you purchased 2) Item(s) get sent to the wrong avatar either when purchasing outright or as a gift. No need for apologies. I know those issues are not with sellers but have a lot to due with delivery and circumstance beyond your control. I would check on posting a customer's transaction like that though it may involve a privacy issue if the person didn't ask for it to be discussed on a forum as I am sure I am not the only Malanya that reads the forums, I say that without any rudeness. It is hard as on any social site to express the attitude or emotion in text. I meant my post in a light hearted way with receiving the email and clueless. I feel that too many people complain instead of teaching people how to make this shared world a more enjoyable place. Residents have the right to use anything they want but yes if it is disturbing to another there are ways to handle it, but not griefing unless it has malicious intent behind it (as it was referred to a form of griefing by another poster) and your OP didn't express that, just that it was annoying.
