Yeah, some erotic art is good. Porn is subjective and a difficult subject. Another thing I believe about SL is that although it is a lot like cherry trees blooming in the Spring, SL has it's dark side also (dark side could also be subjective). Imo, I don't believe it is healthy to engage one's dark side fantasies too much. Some people balance their dark side better than others. But, for me, I don't even like Halloween. I'm a Christimas and Valentine's girl. I like the cherry trees of SL the best. I'd consider the cherry trees blooming in the Spring, the lighter side of SL. I enjoy the cherry trees, I have a lot of fun and meet people from all over the world, and again absolutely the best artists are right here on SL. p.s. If you can't make it to the gym, come dancing with me. You can be afk and workout in RL while the music is playing, I don't care if you are afk, but someone told me that exercise is as important as nutrition, I believe that. Get some exercise! ETA: I don't care if you are afk on SL for a half an hour to workout. Why? Because I am afk on SL for a half an hour because I am working out in RL.

There is no such thing as consensual rape. That makes no sense whatsoever to put those two words together. I'm gonna search Marketplace for some real big weapons and a lot of scary stuff if someone tries to do this to me, and they will get ar'd if they even try to tp me there period. What are my self defenses here, put in my profile if someone tries to tp me to a rape sim______________________ I will do what to them? What are my rights in the TOS? I don't want to see even avatars getting raped. Nor do I watch violent horror movies 'cuz they are disgusting, so that fine line Bree, is not so thin. I prefer foreign films for the very reason that they are far less violent. I'm not into American films much.

Good advice so far. How do u know it's a rape sim? Also, I am a rape survivor, not a victim anymore. No way to block these in your destination guide then? Also, tp away, yes that's a good idea, but I don't want to go there in the first place. So, what does it say in the destination guide... "rape sim" or wha? How is it categorized? Also, what if someone tries to TP me to one of those rapist type sims, how am I susposed to know? Will the tp tell me?

I just activated my adult account and now I'm not so sure what I am going to encounter. Am I safe from these rape sims? And, are the rapists put in jail to simulate what is going to happen to them in RL? ETA: Is there a way to block these rape sims and the rapists involved in this kind of thing? I don't even want them near me period.

As a person who's been raped in rl, I can't even understand why someone would want a "rape fantasy" at all? They needs a psychiatrist. Scary!!! ETA: They need some jails on those rape sims, and put the rapists in the jail cells and leave them in there for good! That would teach 'em what's gonna happen to them in rl!

I always thought they had gun control in Netherlands? I find that a bizarre story actually. Internet webcams, that just sounds bizarre to me. Sorry, off topic.

Good job, Scylla! I very much admire you for standing up for what is right and what is wrong, and how you handled it. Back to address the OP: I too am wondering what he was going to be reported for? That's a blank? Also, if it is a big deal, the AR report should be done in private without anyone knowing. If it's a griefer, contact the sim owner, too... etc. Back to address Scylla again: I can't understand why they allow rape sims in the TOS. That's quite baffling to me in the first place and kind of coconuts imo.

Nice post, Dillon. Yes, I'd probably have to add more. I was going to write that in my other posts that there could be tons. Another thing I believe about SL is that it has some of the best artistry as compared to any other game. The avatars and the clothes are sometimes so gorgeous, the sims brilliant and beautiful, the rofl so funny humor in the local chat do make SL a bit like what Spring does the cherry trees. The best artists are here on SL. I believe that.

I know a lot of people who were experiencing extreme lag on the last viewer update before this recent one. A couple things to try: Download Google Chrome, set it as your default browser, then inword click on use 'built in browser' because I read here on the forums that one of the built in browser for SL is Google Chrome. Anyhow, I zip around SL super fast since doing this Google Chrome thing, except on sims with those vendor stalls. The vendor stall sims, way too much too try to load. I also wanted to ask if you have defragmented your computer? Uninstalling/reinstalling can cause some patches that need to be patched from what I'm reading and trying to learn right now. (I need to look into defragmenting my computer also as I've been uninstalling/reinstalling so many things to try to get SL to work; I think I have registry errors and need to defrag.) ETA: 1) Type in search bar "why is my computer so slow" without the quotations marks, of course. 2) Type in search bar "what is defragmenting my computer" to start to find websites about this. 3) Type is search bar "what are registry errors" to start some searching on this.

That was fun to watch! I don't have anything to share either, unfortunately tho. You might want to try to connect to the Facebook/SL community, where ever that is (me too nooby to know yet)? Maybe they need a Facebook/SL community forum? Just a thought.

This sounds like drama here that you are writing tho? Why are u complaining about drama when u are creating drama? Or else u r just being mean and insulting for the sake of making yourself feel superior. Now, that's immature.

1) That there are players who pretend to be your friend when all they want is your money - meaning they give nothing back for your kindness. Nothing. Run from those kind of people. 2) Each person should be responsible for their own behaviors on SL and know that behaviors have consequences to their own SL happiness. 3) That SL seems to be a game made for the next generation of computer users and leaves some of us out. 4) That SL is a lot more fun than twitter or faceback, but also a lot more complicated. 5) Needs better structuring for troubleshooting on the forum area (some advice is outdated for V2 or incorrect). 6) That SL is set up as some kind of dating/mating game, which leaves some of us who'd prefer our rl love anyday over a robot, but there's not much for permanent singles to do. It's like slow dance equates to jumping next to sex. 7) That business owners should hire a team to help when they are on vacation or in the hospital, etc. 8) That people will call people a troll when they've been taken of their money and report it here. 9) That SL is always last to RL. Positives, it can be a lot fun at times, but when you've lost money because of uncaring and unprofessional people, it starts to be less fun.

Is American English strange, yes a little. The American "nazi" spellers have given us no choice tho. We learn to spell a completely different way for many words and have no choice in the matter of how we learn to spell.

I know the spelling of judgment because I always wondered why the E was dropped since it really makes no sense whatsoever to go from the word judge to judgment with no e. That's just a weird word.

I think the OP found her answer in her posting of her British spelling of judgement. We American's spell it judgment, btw, when she posted No. 5 here. I believe Serafuku's answer can be found in this explanation of judgment. 5.judgement - the capacity to assess situations or circumstances shrewdly and to draw sound conclusions Serafuku, you need to assess the circumstances and how they are working out for you. Now to address something else: I see no problem with people being small because some might be trying to make a statement, such as there are midgets (In America, we call them little people), so there should be no problem with her being a small person whatsoever because that would discriminate against little people. However, I didn't see any picture, so I can't judge without a picture what she was trying to achieve nor make a statement about. But definitely, midgets should of course be allowed.
