All that icon does Ieliel is say "not logged in". Can't remember exactly, or it says you must log in???? huh???. How can we not be logged in? We're obviously logged in if we're freezing. My freeze used to start at about two hours to try to get a median time for me.

Oh also wanted to add two things to this thread. I think my spyware hates SL. It runs furiously sometimes when on SL, then freeze. Also, my browser was bad. As soon as I downloaded Google Chrome and set/clicked inworld on use default browser, SL is 50 times better! I can zoom around from sim to sim faster than I ever could! It's great! (I need my Firefox browser for the ease of use of the tools. I don't like the tools on GC but I love GC for SL.) I think a spyware needs to be added into components, that's why I think the Lindens should build one and sell it. lol. Oh perchance to dream.

Oh that's a lot to read, but sounds interesting. Will read links asap. $600 U.S. dollars, that's pretty close to what I was thinking - between $500 to 600 U.S. dollars, but honestly was thinking $500 is afforable to the masses. (Very sucky economy right now for most).

Yes, that could end it, that's true. My thinking was that some of these threads (like mine) will become useless because they won't show up in the search. Now a thread topic such as: Media_Plugin_Webkit Failed: What does that mean? for an example would show up in search, I'd think? But, I understand Peggy's point totally. It would and could create a big mess with spammers or griefers. Such as starting, then deleting and repeating 50 million times, that would be bad. Sometimes it's also good to stop and think of a good title instead of just HELP!!!!!!!!!!!! lol

Yeah, they look a little slumpy to me. So do mine on my female avi, they look kind of slumpy. I fixed my nose and downloaded a new picture. I still need to fix my neck. I think my neck is scary and too thin not too thick. My hobby is oil painting in rl, tho not so much anymore, but the hardest things to paint are: Hands and feet. No wonder we have so much trouble getting good hands and feet because those are the hardest, imo. I've noticed in my oil paintings that necks are difficult to do for me also.

:matte-motes-grin: Okay, it's FINALLY WORKING! It took about two minutes for the edit to finally come up once I was on the pose stand. I managed to move the jewelry a little, and took a quick snapshot. You can compare the two photos by clicking on my name Mayalily and then click each photo to enlarge. That's my default makeup on, and I have my favorite necklace on that I wear almost every day on SL! It looks much better, but is very hard to work those little items. I had no success in stretching my bracelet, however.

Okay, I'm going to write all these tips down and log into SL and see what I can do. I'll get back to thread with update after I find out what happens. ETA: Yes I am using advanced, viewer 2, download from this SL website; no third party viewer or anything.

Oh I welcome all input. Yes, by using your guide and then using my mouse to kind of draw that 2nd line, it's just a little bit off. For some reason they seemed way off to me. Also, if you look in the first photo, it shows the eyebrow arching by the outer iris (the one in sort of profile of Angelina). Also, the eye to the left on Angelia looks better than the one of the right; they look different to me. ETA: And yes I'm going to look into editing of eyebrow. Sorry I meant iris, not pupil. Sorry. ETA: Marianne, your eyebrows look good!

Yes I like those; some are great. In my photo I am pointing to that I downloaded here has a tattoo layer of eyeshadow. I love that eye shadow, I think it's pretty and I wear that eyeshadow color a lot in RL. I haven't seen a tattoo layer for eyebrows. I wonder if anyone has one? I also noticed the nice eyebrows Bee has in her avatar photo here; it has nice brushed type eyebrows.

My thinking to put it hear was I'm not so sure designers have time to read the Avatar area or if they even want too. We do need a skin and shape area, but that's jmo. Thanks for the compliment on my avatar, needs work still. Yes I guess we do look a little goofy because we are not human, but more like a cartoon drawing or something. Anyhow, I'd like better eyebrows and will try to see if I can fix them somehow. If anyone has a light colored skin with nice color lipstick choices (no black, no orange, no purple, etc., but good tried and true lipstick colors are for me) and a better eyebrow shape, let me know and I'll have a look. ETA: Also a makeup color guide would be helpful, such as No.12 shows light rose gloss lipstick. I don't like working with my skin because I can't remember all the makeup colors just by numbers. A color chart for the makeup especially lipstick would be very helpful.

Well how do I repostion it if all I get is a detach option? And no resizer menu comes up when I click on my necklaces. Again, all I get is detach option.

Okay, I see an alpha layer is no good then. I guess I'm just thinking of an extra layer so the jewelry goes all the way around the neck. Anyhow, creator does not want to respond at all about this.

Well, when I right click on it, all that highlights is the detach option? I can't modify, I've tried. About my avi, I don't know if she is to tall or not? I really don't know yet what the problem is.

I didn't know where to put this topic, so I'm placing it here for now. We need an area about skin and shape, imo. Okay, if you click on my name here Mayalily, then click on the photo to the right, it will enlarge the photo (don't know how to directly add photo to a thread yet). Anyhow, I want you to notice the eyebrow. The eyebrow arches on a human being at the outer pupil line. If you look at the photo I am asking you to look at, the eyebrow arch is way past the outer pupil line. Is there a way I can arch the eyebrows correctly? My main reason for writing this is that the eyebrow does arch at the outer pupil line, not way over the pupil line. Helpful hint for skin designers? I hope so. ETA: Just look at my goofy red avatar on this page and notice the browline and it's arch; that's closer to what a human eyebrow looks than what's on my skin I purchased.

Hi, I finally took my first photo and downloaded it here. (You have to click on my name Mayalily, find the photo to the right, and then enlarge it). Okay, I know I need to work on my shape, but that's another thread. And that's not my favorite color shade of hair, but that's not important right now. What I want you to look at is the necklace I am wearing; it doesn't go all the way around the neck, and the other necklaces I have are worse. The other necklaces just look stuck on the collar bone area and do not go all the way around the neck. I do believe the jewelry said modify, but I can't find any resizer menu by clicking on the jewelry, nor does right clicking give me anything other than a detach option. I sent an IM to the person I purchased most of the necklaces from, asking if she could make some kind of alpha layer for me or something so that the necklaces go all the way around my neck. Again, designer does not want to respond. This problem with the jewelry has kept me from taking a profile photo for three months because I love jewelry in RL and in SL I want to wear jewelry, and I'd also like jewelry in my photos to look good. Anyhow, anyone designing jewelry for viewer 2?, or could someone explain why jewelry doesn't go all the way around my avi's neck like it shows in the model photos of the product? Again, necklaces are stuck on the collar bone area. I've tried some demos, but they don't seem to work for me too well. I couldn't see much or something in the demo itself was blocking my view. ETA: Oh yes and in the photo I know I have too much make-up on, so ignore that please, I was playing with make-up at the time I finally had time to do a photo to see what's up with the jewelry.

After seeing your photos, yes your head is still too small and your neck is too big. So yes, you do need to work on your shape first. That neck is a little scarry. ETA: You also need to work on your shoulders; they're slumping too much; add {some} muslces to your arms, but don't over do it; start slowly with readjusting your shape. Heck, I need advice on my shape, too! It takes time and depends on how much time you have for SL, 'cuz IMO RL comes first. Other turn ons: A sense of humor and a talkative avi (not one who's asleep or afk too much).

Yes, I agree, first make sure you are getting a good shape. A lot of male avi's have these huge muscles and way too small a head that it looks ridiculous, and I doubt any female avi's would find that attractive in SL or RL. So good shape first. If a man has a good shape, since we're entering Summer here in the USA, go shirtless. I think that looks hot on a guy, when he's shirtless. Let's see what else I like: Good eyes, changes clothes on a fairly regular basis, and is not afraid to wear an open shirt or be sexy for the women. Also, someone who is friendly and asks a lot of women avi's to dance I'd rate high on my list. We're just dancing, come on guys we're not getting married just because we are enjoying a dance together. I enjoy being with the men who have a good shape and are self confident enough to ask me to dance. No self confidence is a turn off. Don't be shy, it's only SL.

Yes, that makes a lot of sense, Peggy. It's a learning experience, and it would be kind of nuts if people posted weird spam topics and then deleted; that would reek a lot of havoc.

True, we could think things through first. But, I'd venture to guess that OP regret is a little like buyer's remorse; we all get that especially in RL.

Why can't the OP just delete a thread if it's not going well? One other person said she had OP regrets and wished she'd never started the thread in the first place. So say we have OP regrets, why can't the OP just delete the thread since according to what I am reading there is very little moderation here?

Hi, My name is Mayalily. I'm a RL female and a SL female. I'm looking for a job as a hostess or manager of a music club, but I need to like the music to want to work there and since most wanted ads don't say what type of music they play, I thought I'd write what type of club I'd like to work at and also post what times I can work. The types of music I like are: Rock, Soft Rock, Pop, and Jazz (a little metal is okay and I like Grunge like Nirvana but don't want to hear two hours of metal). I'd like to work at a club that plays mostly the hits from the 60's through 90's, and also a club that enjoys some deep tracks. Music I prefer NOT to listen to is: Trance, Rap, Country (a little rockability is okay but not Country), and Dance Remixes. And I wouldn't want to work at an all metal club either. I've been around musicians my whole life and have a lot of knowledge about music, so I might work well with a knowledged music club/group, etc. Sort of a club for Music Nerds. That might describe me - a music nerd. Hours I can work are: Monday through Friday, no weekends. Times would differ though; sometimes mornings, sometimes afternoons on weekdays. I try to keep a cute avi, but am also agreeable to any kind of dress code as long as it looks good on me; meaning I don't want to look weird in it. We all don't look good in everything. I'm friendly, outgoing on SL, LOVE to talk about music, share good music, and I enjoy flirting. I also love helping people who can't find the dance ball or work the huds, etc. I'm always helping, even though I'm not the one getting paid. Anything else you might like to know, just give me a shout out. A Must About the Dj's: I'd like to work at a club that also has their Dj's keep updating their playlists because I don't want to hear the same songs over and over. So must have good Dj's also. And since, I'm a music nerd, I can help in finding great songs to play to keep them coming back! I feel I am extremely knowledgable about great music, have met many famous musicians in RL and gone through the writing to the recording to the promoting to the performing and television with them. I grew up in the music industry, and for my SL vote on the last poll, it was "creative". Do I have what it takes to help make you one of the best SL music clubs ever, I believe I do. Again, just give me a shout out (aka instant message here or drop me a notecard).
