  1. Hmmm the walls aren't "rustic cabin". but the ceiling & doorway plus tree shaded window.... hmmmm... lemonade in tumblers= picnic worthy areas & riffing on how much we love painting our walls ?
  2. and now I may sit out for a bit... was really hoping to get a place in the new regions with a water view by train tracks, but I scored a place with a back to Mole National Park and a front facing a switchyard. And I just LOVE Mole National Park, so nope... staying for a bit
  3. Moles are non stop Victorianing to bring you lovely new addresses.
  4. I was wondering if it might be a snowy/mountain cabin y area coming up next; seems like that could be popular
  5. I think you don't know me and that's a pretty big assumption. No I am clearly not understanding your point and so I've tried to lay mine out plainly, but again- A) multiple times I've said that I err on the side of de rend rather than report on issues esp. related to theme B) what is "in theme" is for the Lindens to decide and C) that I merely hoped other continents would encourage a diversity of builds so that many different genres would be supported. You seem to be reading into what I wrote rather than taking me literally and I rather think our views aren't as unaligned as you seem to believe
  6. Nothing on the *inside* of a house needs to be AR'd unless it impacts the outside view (& I don't mean by peeking thru windows :p) . Homeless tents on public sidewalks are a clear issue of encroachment off one's own home plot. Also, horses seem very much *in theme*. Again- what is "in theme" is pretty much up to the Lindens to decide & I personally err on the side of not bothering them with stuff if I can just de rend.
  7. I think "in theme" may be a tad subjective... there are certainly Steampunk objects that would fit fine in the Victorians' area, just as modern cars in the driveways can just be seen as lending a San Francisco neighborhood of Painted Ladies feel... I still err on the side of de rend & move on if there isn't a height or overhang issue, but I also think if some (loose) standard of "in theme" isn't maintained that the new LH continents will eventually suffer from some of the issues that many dislike about mainland.
  8. That's the thing, I think. Covenant isn't about "your build or vehicle or addon" is bad and you should feel bad... as much as "it's a jarring distraction from the feel of an area". I hope the new continents will have a diversity of themes- supporting fantasy, steampunk, retro future, snowy... etc. so everyone can fly their flag as it were. I happily jumped from the Trads when the Victorians came along, because it fit my decorating style much better.
  9. Def Finley, I recognize them. Cute kitchen, I've rejiggered it a few times to use in HBs & Trads.
  10. It's like we're all playing some arcane game of complicated catch with a dozen players all watching the skies for the unexpected, random balls ... which based on detailed & very personal criteria, someone may either pocket and keep, pocket to be thrown out at an unspecified time later, or toss immediately back into the air. I'm having immense fun... but it'd be hard, I think, to explain why to anyone not already playing 😛
  11. aaand then there's me... "releases on alt, grabs new plot weighing its positives & negatives, stays up irresponsibly late decorating to within a 5 LI margin, wash, rinse, repeat" 😛
  12. Whitmarsh def. where I have eyes. Thinking of releasing a Vic in Queens Arch soon, even if it may not happen for a few days. Just to be ready to hop.
  13. Thank you, it took longer to put together than anticipated (isn't that always the way?) But I'm pretty much done with the whole house and free to Expo it up now, yay! Honestly, I grabbed this place as a way to get a coalesced for when the new Victorians come... I'm really going to try hard for one of those along the RR track
  14. When your alt finally scores another Victorian the morning of the Expo... and you know you'll really want to attend, but the lure of decorating a new place is too strong. So you totally BS yourself into thinking you'll just put together a backyard water feature and stop at that. Suuuuurrre (I did manage to see a few of the amazing Bellisseria homes at RFL just before I had to break for dinner :p)
  15. I was on a tight schedule and couldn't snap more than a few pics, but I'll be back... I might camp out there all weekend and just soak up inspiration
  16. Completely blown away by the creativity & skill on display by all of you! https://flic.kr/s/aHsmLo2s9o
  17. I know there's one near my camper in the Beaten Path... I wanna say it's on the tracks in PugWash
  18. I would legit Snoopy Dance for joy if this happened.
  19. Dunno why I'm happy about this: all our alts have places I'd be hard pressed to let go of and no way can my wife or myself justify another premium. But somehow these feel like... really good problems to have? lol
  20. @Alumna Cornell I echo much of what Elora said for myself... I am busy and my SL time is usually spent on projects of my own, but I have so enjoyed this thread and I leave my campers and HBs open to others, so may I too have an invite please?
  21. AFAIK... I suggested something like this here on the forums, but wasn't aware someone took the ball & ran with it & made an inworld group. Excellent.
  22. I got tired of how disconnected the roof deck on the Evening Star felt. & in spite of the weird alignment of my plot, I decided to try living with my door facing my neighbor if it meant playing with a Barnacle (well that sounded... Freudian).
