I saw them in the hills of Mole National Park, and keeping my distance, I decided to get some photos to prove to everyone what lurks in the wilds of Bellisseria. But they caught wind of me and went racing on all fours, and weirdly, as they disappeared deeper into the mountains, I saw one of them drop a flyer from furry paws. ^this. My wife & I are in self isolation. She has almost certainly had a round of corona (had flu like symptoms for weeks she couldn't shake- very unusual for her, had to go to the Dr. twice before she could get antibiotics and only in the past few days has she felt better), so I can only assume I may be an asymptomatic carrier. So we've been staying away from all others for a couple of weeks now. We are in the especially vulnerable age group. My full time job currently is checking availability of food & delivery windows for said food. SL is one of the things keeping me from throwing things at the wall. SL is creativity & social support for me. Thanks to all who try to make it a better place. aaaand back to topic: caught the same sticky Havenbarrow camper again 😛

Yes, this is what happens when humans begin to build up into the hills. From California to Texas, I've seen more & more unexpected chance meetings of humans and wildlife . I've heard tales of coyotes and cougars... but Bellisseria truly is unique: hippos are a first, ime 😛

and the exotic animal trade is getting so out of hand that not even Bellisseria is untouched by it. I noticed on my radar the little pond and waterfall behind my Banebury gallery was seeing some unusual activity late night... in no way could I have predicted: Hippos. Yes. Hippos.

It's likely the Sparkle Bottom one- just caught it a few minutes ago, I keep trying for a camper south of the deeps along water. I'll have to stop that when the Log Homes are released... but til then I'm seeing if I can get a spot I like better than my Beaten Path spot.
