I'm between White Sands Missile Range and Vandenberg AFB. If the launches go high enough over the horizon at sunrise or sunset (see previous post), it's an unbelievable sight to behold. As I am typing, Vandenberg is prepping a launch for a NROL-47. They're at a minus 4 minute hold for now, something to do with a swing arm not working properly. Some on Twitter are wishing a sunset launch to replicate the last lift off. Download video

SeTruly, anna has a great suggestion. If you can get as she suggested, then it would be a wonderful start for you. I xan't stress enough though, be careful if you have lindens. There are people here who lack scruples and will try to con you out of those lindens. Find someone you can trust (and won't ask you for those L$; if they do, RUN, don't walk away from them). There are people here who will walk you through your starting days and assist you in getting the right mesh body and clothing so you look good. Good luck.

There are many ways for a new one like you, to make lindens here. The easiest way is to buy them through a verified CC or through PayPal. If you are unable to do that, I recommend the Realms. It's an area where you collect crystals, which can earn L$. It's not an easy way to get lindens, but it can provide you with something if you have the patience. As for having a better looking avatar, there are mesh bodies on sale (not cheap) that can make you look much better than with the stock mesh body. I'm sure there will be others who will answer you better than I have. I suggest you get more familiar with Second Life before you invest time and money into it. It does have a sharp learning curve at first. Get passed that, you should have minimal problems. Welcome to SL.

So, what has been learned students? For the most part, this forum has some very decent, rule abiding members who care for the noobs who come in and help them as much as possible. There are members here who have known each other and in-world who have remained friends and compadres. That is a great attribute for anyone here. I commend you all. Sadly, LL has a filter that prohibits some words from being shown. A common exercise found in some, but not all discussion groups. There are pros and cons on that subject, that will have to be another thread sometime. With that said, it's nice that one individual has demonstrated their ability to converse on an adult level. It's a small ability but unknowing, they demonstrated that everyone with opinions can come in and state their beliefs and desires. So, I thank the ***** and ***** here who started with a common problem and turned it to herself all the way through. She showed that LL needs to update their word filter so trolls like her can come here and find, they can speak, but be civil. If and when this thread gets locked, we'll all know the trollish C & A who couldn't take simple suggestions. ETA: The certain words, if plural, can get through. Again, thanks C & A, you did us all a solid.

Don't feel bad. I once purchased a Truth hair with a hat. I wore the hair and then placed the hat on. I couldn't understand why the hair was protruding through the hat. A quick NC to the creator indicated I was wearing BOTH the hair and the hair with the hat. Oops

Check the Maitreya HUD. Make sure you have the proper alpha settings correct. It's easy to inadvertently turn various alpha layers on.

Tickets can be amended?

File a ticket first. Perhaps the age problem can be fixed over a few questions. If not, LL will request some type of identification that proves your age. That could be in the form of a driver license, a passport, hard to say. I've never had that problem. Wait until LL contacts you (should that be the case) and follow up what they ask/request. I'm pretty sure this age problem isn't the first to be reported.

Partially true, to a point. You set out to show that posters here are rude and petty, a noble cause to say the least. As a whole, you canceled out any attempt to show your hypothesis and instead, demonstrated that people here can and do speak to each other with dignity and some admiration. Granted, there will be disagreements, but they are expected and what I witnessed here in seven pages (of which the original inquiry could have been written/answered in three pages, tops) were adults, not a child who can't understand why there is no safe place here and why some don't particularly care for the OP. There has been no passive aggressiveness shown here but by you. There have/has been genuine positive attempts to help your situation here, but you refuse to follow them. Then a comment of the thread being derailed and how you'll just...allow me to use your words: Your thoughts have not changed and I seriously doubt they will. You'll just breeze through life here (and probably in RL too) as the "hurt one, please help me..." and anyone who tries to assist will be ignored, no matter how well their response is thought out and relayed. You will just ignore and play the victim. Old American proverb comes to mind. Give it some serious thought before coming in here and laying blame on others for your short comings and failures. I predict this thread will be locked shortly. Frankly, I think your original post has been answered. As I wrote in my earlier post, some don't like the answers they get and find cause to continue to behave as they do. So...sit on your ass and watch people here try to be helpful, as you think you might be pulling strings like a puppeteer. You haven't won any respect from me with that snide comment, so it shows why people here avoid you like a plague. All this forum shows, as mentioned, people here are kind and adult in conversation. You just come across as a spoiled princess.
