  4. Maybe. But every company that lays of thousands, or goes bankrupt, says "everything is fine" up until the last moment. You really think people would continue investing any money or time in SL if they announced SL will be phased out over the next 2 years?

  10. that is pretty close to the same computer specs i have I shoot alot of weddings, so i usualy see FPS from 8-18. and yes, sometimes when looking at certian avis, FPS will drop way down. in fairly empty sims without many alphas, I can see rates up to 60FPS. This is with everything on and shadow resolution set about 1.5

  12. Biggest issues with laptops on ultra settings is heat. Things really get cooking so you really have to ensure the vents stay clean Lag? don't matter much really. So places you'll be smoking on ultra settings, others, at a crawl. I do alot of wedding photography/video, and my desktop in a Intel i7, 16g RM and a Nvidia GTX970 4gig card. "usualy' at ultra on a wedding 12-16fps, some higher, sometimes down in the single digits. Faster than my laptop I used to use for sure, but also runs vastly cooler
