  1. I managed to get a shape I liked, and discovered, when I'd done, that the reason the eyelashes never rezzed yesterday i because I was in "Edit Shape" mode. Come out of edit mode, they show fine, go back in and they go black again. It's a very odd way of doing them. Can't really comment on how well the polymorph thing works; I use an old system skin from years back, and that seems to fit very well on the "system" setting but I don't have skins to try for the other settings. I did try them, and all but Genus looked worse (Genus looked the same). Neck is just about seamless on Belleza Freya body (slight seam at the back in certain lighting conditions). And the head runs big, similar size to Catwa, so you'll be wanting to wear the largest size of any hair you have.
  2. I could not find this head in the mainstore, they must have hidden it extremely well, or its already gone. Anyway I tried some demos of the other heads and could not get any of them to work properly. The eyelash texture never rezzes. They are cheap though, only 500L each as long as you don't mind having no eyelashes. No male heads, only female and kids.
  3. I accept those - but switch to male first. You should see how quick those guys can hit eject, ban and block. It's quite impressive.
  4. These are lovely but I'm not sure that its a theme for me. I still like Newbrooke best I think, with Stilts second and maybe Chalets third.
  5. You know it would be nice if the hud was something in the content pack that we could take to inventory and keep, with our custom colours loaded into it, so we can apply them easily to our next Linden Home.
  6. Fresh, locally-grown strawberries in my local supermarket yesterday. I mean, yeah I expect they're grown indoors cos it's April, but I don't care. I bought a punnet and ate them all.
  7. Well I am glad I read the whole thread before chiming in, otherwise I would not have known to go Muppet. 😁 Team Cookie Monster! I'm male in RL and my SL avatar is sometimes male, sometimes female (not an alt, I do both on the same account). My profile makes it explicitly clear that my SL gender changes and my RL gender is male (but of course none of those guys read it). Oh I need to heep this one. Me (to creepy guy): Are you roleplaying? Him: No Me: Ah, right, you're a jerk in RL too, good to know... 😁 My usual response is to switch to my male avatar and tell him to read my profile, which usually is enough (and is an advantage of not using a separate account for my female self). If that doesn't put him off, then I hand him a notecard with my escorting fees and ask him to make an appointment. I'm not really an escort, but these guys aren't just looking for sex, they're looking for free sex. Never yet met one who's willing to pay for the priviledge. That's been my experience too. And it makes no difference whether I'm dressed provocatively or not. I could be wearing baggy jeans and a hoodie, and its exactly the same response as if I was wearing a bikini. Only when my avatar is male, does it stop. The payback though, is that when I'm male, NOBODY speaks to me. Not men, cos they're not interested in sex with other men. And not women, because they're then afraid that I might want sex with them (I don't). So I still go female when I'm in the mood for clubbing & chatting, and male when I'd prefer to be left alone. I kinda suspect that he's never actually had a proper conversation with a woman in RL (except his mother or other female relatives). I see no evidence from his posts here that he knows how to respectfully interact with women at all. Ditto. But they don't ever read my profile first.
  8. I found a pic of him when he's not dressed up as Prince Charming: That's much more my type... 😁
  9. I usually have both at the same time; something on ground level (either a Bellisseria home or a landscaped mainland parcel with a small house) and a skybox of some sort, which frequently changes. Whether I spend more time on the ground or in the skybox depends mostly on what the neighbours properties look like. I just bought a very cheap parcel in the middle of nowhere but it's completely surrounded by abandoned land with only one other build within my draw distance (and I've orientated my house so it faces the other way). I'll probably keep it a few months then offload it and buy something else.
  10. He's not bad looking but not my type. I'd be more interested in the rugged huntsman than in Prince Charming. She reminds me of my ex-wife.
  11. I currently have only a Linden home, though I'm not certain if I'll keep it yet. Mostly I have mainland homes and I buy rather than rent. My last one before the current one was in the South Corsica Coast community but I sold it because the parcel was too big and I needed to tier down. I recovered what I paid for it though. The one I had before that was also on the Corsica coast but up on the north coast. I had to de-render most of my neighbours.
  12. I'm not sure if South Corsica Coast (formerly Campbell Coast) currently has any parcels for sale (I sold mine a few weeks ago) but it's worth keeping an eye on in case any more come up for sale. The community and landscaping there are lovely. Emyniad is the central region.
  13. It's not that I don't think Riverbridge should be there or should be AR'd. I think it's great. I just think that similar in-theme add-ons SHOULD be allowed in Newbrooke. I mean, they said a rooftop deck is ok, but you can't have a different texture on it so... a rooftop deck on black tarmac? No wooden decking, no grass? A modern rooftop wine-bar in Newbrooke would be lovely, but not if the deck floor has to be plain black tarmac. Yuk.
  14. Are other themes going to be policed in the same way, or just Newbrooke? Because I've seen plenty of add-ons elsewhere that would surely not be allowed if the same criteria were used as is being used in Newbrooke. For example, Houseboats with a traditional-style house shell over them. Is Riverbridge Cafe allowed, for example? And if so, why is something MORE in-theme and MORE subtle than Riverbridge not allowed in Newbrooke? Does Newbrooke need a different covenant from the rest of Bellisseria? I'm starting to wonder if I'd be better off returning to the Logs...
  15. I do. I have a Faraday, and a pool in the back garden. Still a "work in progress" though.
  16. If I did that it would all end up in my trash anyway (none of it was no-copy). I just eliminated the middle step, 😁
  17. I SO MUCH want a home in that region. Elbow is my favourite band and it's named after one of their albums (Seldom Seen Kid). Whichever Linden or Mole named it, I LOVE YOU! 💖
  18. I don't think I ever abandoned a home as quick as I did today - I literally drag-selected everything in my home and deleted it. I am even more excited about this theme now that I realise I can have a 512-sized house on a 1024 parcel. Absolutely perfect; a home that's not too big to decorate and enough garden to actually use. Location is okay but not particularly special, except that I have the big broad steps at the front which I really like. I decided on the Faraday which looks great with them. I've only got the basic decorating done but I have a pool and patio in the back yard. I think I've found my favourite theme. Not my Forever Home just yet, but I'm sure it's here somewhere.
  19. Oooh - don't be - I switched to Newbrook today and was delighted to find that the 512m homes are available on the 1024 plots as well. Which is absolutely perfect - a home thats not too big to decorate, and enough garden to actually use.
  20. I don't think the parcels are any closer together than they are on the Chalets or Stilts regions. But the houses themselves are much bigger, closer to the parcel edge on all sides so there's less garden and that makes them feel closer together.
  21. Every "proper" Blake Sea region (with Blake Sea actually in its name) has a rez zone in the NE corner. For other regions, a lot of the marinas also have public rez.
  22. I've had several houseboats and I've had all three types of Stilts, and abandoned them all. I did not like stilt on water at all; I don't like the feeling of being unconnected to the earth. Stilts on land were too far to the other extreme; I was never lucky enough to land a "half & half" which is what I really wanted, most of them didn't even have road access either. Piers were a little better but still lacked that bit of sand. Houseboats were, in general, better than the stilts but too many of them were on square parcels which I don't like as much because your big front window almost always faces someone else's boat instead of facing the water. The rest I abandoned because they were attached to tiny islands or isolated sandbars or, again, with only piers and no land at all. Again with that uncomfortable feeling of being disconnected. So I've given up on the idea of sailing directly from my home, and I always end up returning to my favourite theme so far which is the Logs.
  23. Thank you Cinnamon! I do like it a lot (but I will still be abandoning it for a Newbrooke house eventually. Gotta catch 'em all!)
  24. I couldn't even say what my dream house is. I like the stilt houses best but I hate the (lack of) landscaping. I really wanted to like the Chalets (I have German ancestry after all) but I never caught a location that really appealed to me. Trads houses are too small, Fantasy ones are too big. I keep going back to the Logs so I suspect my dream house is in there somewhere. Or a Chalet right next to the main river.
