  1. Kudos to Eve, I agree that templates are an incredible learning curve, not just for clothing, but consider the Eloh templates, not only did they open the very high and locked doors on skin creations up to that point, but they also brought a better understanding to thousands of people about how the avatar is actually constructed. As a Blogger, Store Manager and so on this knowledge has lead to a much easier way of explaining certain things, of accepting other things, and being able to help people when questioning why? Templates are also wonderful when you consider that some people are amazing planners, they can construct an item from the ground up, but when it comes to what fabric, how to package, the marketing and so on, they are lost. Due to templates being a resource now, they are able to package that side of things and walk away, and let the more creative handle the rest. I for one like them, but what I don't like is people acting as though they don't use them, or trying to convince me that the things in front of me aren't pre-made kits, that just annoys me.
  2. I am brand loyal, because of good quality, good customer service and so on, but that does not mean I am only ever shopping at those brands. Brand loyalty also has to come into play if something is released that is not up to the usual, if it can be fixed I believe as a brand loyal customer it is good that you let the designer know what has occured as it may have been a mistake not an intentional thing, and give them a chance to fix it, not just giving them up as a lost cause. hugs Gidge xoxSasyxox
  3. Great post Berry and yes for such a diverse grid, we are lacking in some of that cosmopolitan feel. Australia is so rich with hundreds of cultures so I really do miss that in here. xoxSasyxox
  4. eeek I started that way many moons ago, sorting by type etc, but not anymore mine is like this Body Parts Folder> Hair> (Alphabet Folders) A> Amacci> >Long >Short >Updo Clothing Folder> Designers> (Alphabet Folders) A> > adam n eve > Artilerri > Aoharu and so on, so always a main folder like all clothes go in designers, shoes in shoes, accessories in accessories, but each of those have alphabets, then folders of the stores then the folders of the items. So for me doing something like the alphabet challenge is half done lol
  5. Maybe contact Strawberry Singh she is her Manager, and may have a better way of contacting her. Good Luck
  6. you should contact Zaara Kohime she makes clothing very similar already, and may be able to help you.
  7. Waves, great post and one of the best shows I have ever experienced in all my years in Second Life. I was floored by the professionalism of the whole week. Congrats to you and everyone Involved. xoxSasyxox
  8. That is awesome Eve also blogs are our own journals of our time in Second Life, the fashion shows mood and is an indicator of time spent. Having it in any language that you feel the most comfortable in overall, and years to come is a bonus I think.
  9. That was just amazing, well done Chic.
  10. Ishtara those are incredible points, thank you. For me it was more along the line of ' If you talk to them, they will come' thinking it may bring us more residents, if the enticements, such as fashion, were explained in their own language. But I agree wholeheartedly on the sharing of english also. I have a Japanese creator friend, who at the begining used to just say she couldn't understand and try and get out of conversing, I just wouldn't stop talking or let her. Eventually she would IM me and ask me what silly things I had said on my blog meant, and now she types english so well, and has such a better understanding, you would not think she didn't speak english all along. Now I want everyone to blog in both lol
  11. Good points Ceera, and that makes a lot of sense too, glitch pants kind of killed that rule of thumb for me a long time ago, I do and I don't, back and forth I go. Gala good way to confuse people, but a nude underwear set is fantastic for all the crochet and lace items. You get to allude to still being nude underneath but keep classy. xoxSasyxox
  12. Incredible, I once did Red Riding Hood lol but that is such an incredible look. Keep them coming. xoxSasyxox
  13. thank you so much Dark and everyone, today has been lovely fun.
  14. :smileysurprised: naughty girl lol
  15. that is excellent Vick, it must be really fun to do too knowing you are speaking to a specific audience of your own .
  16. hiya Mela yeah that is why I do too, I am so used to changing in front of customers over the years and with SL having so many bugs eeeeek, but alpha is not to be trusted, and as you said ctrl alt T is not our friend . xoxSasyxox
  17. I don't know who to LOL at first you are all nutters .
  18. Vaki so true, same can be said for breast shading on womens wear worn by men...but yes again using other items to hide that is even more creative. Thanks for commenting Everyone
  19. This is in regards to privelages not animations. If you opt in as said, to be controlled by the person who has a controlling device, you cannot remove control. However if you as the submissive are the owner of the device and wish to remove who is granted ownership and able to manipulate the device remotely you can, or SHOULD be able to. RLV items should always have a remove Master/Mistress option, otherwise they would be very sucky items lol. VR Foundry Products for the WIN!
  20. With people all using different viewers these days, with no mesh you are liable to only see alpha layers. Often alpha layers can take as long to rez as regular so to the people around you it is possible you may appear naked. Will this make you consider wearing underwear more often than you do now, or have you always been a true layers person?
  21. I have seen some items on the marketplace where people have added flexi prims to mesh dresses etc. I think that if the item still looks good, and you are using a mesh viewer there would be no reason not to. Good Luck with your decision whatever it is. xoxSasyxox
  22. Unfortunatly no , if the other people are not on mesh compatible viewer. What they will see is your alpha layers, and a prim in a random shape on your attachment point of the mesh. The problem is that the prim could also be very large and look very out of place, and you could look like a floating head lol. Which reminds me of another thread post I will be doing later . and please if you have more questions feel free to ask xoxSasyxox
  23. hi Sasha, If the mesh item is rigged to the avatar skeleton, then no, unfortunatly it cannot be, so the creator has to offer sizes. If the item however is not rigged, then it can be edited to change size in either regular edit - if modify - or a resize script can be added. As usual though always make a copy of the item first . xoxSasyxox
  24. I would hope we wouldn't lose any, but I am more thinking along the lines of gaining more. I have met so many fashionable people in SL that would love to blog, but feel their english isn't good enough. I would rather see them blog in their own language and enjoy the styling, than have them not blog at all. lol @ Klingon - I would love to see someone blog in that. xoxSasyxox
