It would surprise me if they redo the mesh and make it incompatible. I would expect them to bring out a different new body called something else if there is a high degree of incompatibility. Maitreya enjoys market dominance in no small part due to the amount of available items that work with it. It would be folly to throw that away and start right back with nothing. So it will either have compatibility options or it won't break compatibility in any major way at all in my opinion.

It's possible that this is also a PBR ready update. I was expecting an upgrade at some point. There have been hints about it from the Maitreya CSR on the Lara group.

This was always going to be the only advice given to people. It clearly wasn't meant to last for much time outside the Welcome Hub.

@Coffee Pancake Why respond at all if you still feel like this? You still aren't listening to what people have said and are showing a high degree of intolerance. Being upset is one thing but you are just throwing shade out everywhere and over everyone. There is no need to do this.

I think you'll find the answers to this have already been written. As @Ceka Cianci might say, they can be found under File 13. I don't it would be a wise choice of direction to take this topic.

Don't we think it would be better to let bygones be bygones? It was a set of topics that went crazy and we all did our part. Recriminations aren't going to help any of us though. I hope @Coffee Pancake does decide to keep posting here despite obviously still being quite upset about it all.

I actually tend to treat new people the same as I do anyone by default. It's only in the presence of red flags when I start to get suspicious of anyone and that takes a while to observe. One fault I have is that I don't always notice new people have arrived. There doesn't seem to be an active introduction and welcome topic that I'm aware of.

I do think as a forum we could do better at being inclusive and welcoming whether the person is new or returning.

I never read any of the books whilst I was in Gor - didn't even know it came from books until I'd been there a while. Much later and much like you I came across a used copy of one of the books but at a Sunday market. I read a handful of chapters while browsing and I have to say, it was some of the most dreadful drivel I have ever read. The RP I had known only seemed to have a passing resemblance to what I was reading and probably means that in reality most were just playing out some generic pseudo-medieval RP in a highly sexual and obviously male dominated way.

Pretty much any man I ever met in Gor claimed to be a RL Gorean Master. It was hilarious.

I don't know the answer to that but I hadn't even heard of Gor until I stumbled across it in SL. Back then it seemed like everyone was doing Gor roleplay.
