  1. Ooooh..really? Can you point me to that thread?
  2. Great question - not sure who to tag to ask?
  3. I was, but I'm honestly pretty concerned. I know my password is secure, and I know I didn't do it...but the chat agent said that I 'self selected'. I've been referred to make a JIRA ticket over it if I'd like to find out the cause, but it's my understanding that they usually don't get any attention unless they effect alot of people....and that leaves me still wondering how my account randomly turned to 'scripted agent status'.
  4. I noticed that I wasn't able to teleport to specific regions randomly yesterday - Bellisseria in particular. This had never happened to me before. The teleporting issue only seemed to start Wednesday, so I submitted a ticket for the Premium Plus account that was having the issue. I reached out to Chat Support this AM and I was told that I 'set myself as a scripted agent' and thats why I wasn't able to teleport into any Belli region. So... I actually have a registered scripted agent (to Feorie Frimon, ironically) that I use for customer support. I am familar with the process of how to register them and what the rules for them are. In my chat convo, I asked the CS Agent if they could see how it happened, but they said they were unable to see the audit trail. My concern is that they responded with when they closed the ticket: ""It appears that your account is one you self-identified as a scripted agent. Linden Home regions are now set to disallow scripted agents from accessing them. This is why you are unable to access your Linden Home." " But I never did those processes to do that for my Feorie Frimon account - I never registered her as a scripted agent, and I deff didn't do anything on Tuesday or Wednesday that was out of the ordinary from what I literally do every day. And I certainly didn't register as one Tuesday or Wednesday... My question: Does anyone else know if the viewer can flag you as an agent and change it in your account?
  5. If you have any leads, I'd be super grateful!!!!
  6. How was it??? It looks great! What was the suit like? I’m super curious!
  7. Exactly what I am thinking, too. And that’s why I agree that a Second Life Instance would be cool - because it would, basically, be a ‘only Second Life’ stuff server. The part I’m stuck on is the mix of rated material. My Twitter feed was pretty ‘adult’ simply by following people using the #secondlife hashtag, but I have a lot of friends in SL that have a much more G or PG rated experience. An instance would require heavy moderation of an actual Linden (or more than one Linden), and I think there would have to be a serious case made that having the instance would help retain Residents (because of those Linden paychecks that would be needed to moderate the whole thing). Even still - I think its a really interesting idea! An instance could become a sort of optional ‘in-house social media’ for residents once they are part of SL….. and other social media channels could be used to funnel traffic TO Second Life.
  8. But there isn’t a ‘free app’ for Second Life . You can’t swing by the App Store and download SL to your phone; SecondLife’s app is a huge program you have to download to your computer and most residents can’t be logged in at their home computer all the time to stay connected. Sure, there is SpeedLight, but that’s not social media and is intended for Residents to handle SL basics on their phone….. There isn’t a social media element at all that LL moderates/controls for Second Life residents - the only thing that comes kind of close is these forums and they aren’t like social media at all.
  9. I think I got a gift from Ms Moose - did anyone else? I’ll have to show you guys the notecard! Lol Thank you Moose family! 😍
  10. For what it’s worth, I think Coffee is right on the money here. I have a Twitter account, but have been trying to find an alternative because the bot follows, etc. It would be awesome if SecondLife had an instance people could join. Moving all of that traffic over from Twitter and Flickr could help fix a fractured social media SecondLife community and create a place that Residents can engage each other in a social media app (that LL doesn’t have to build but can still moderate). My fingers are crossed on this one! I get new follows every day, see more SL content, and it’s not as quiet as it was when I started. Here’s to hoping!
  11. I’m trying to figure out what that ‘first payment’ looks like, and what the payments after it will look like. Thanks for asking this OP! I was wondering the same thing.
  12. New version launched last week with more stuff to do - if this is what you meant, here is the info! https://feoriefrimon.com/forever-tourist-about If not, sorry to butt in! (And I wanna know so I can go play it too! )
  13. Becky Darkheart è stata molto gentile e ha tradotto un tutorial su come giocare a Forever Tourist in italiano. 15. You get three or four layers to work with for the terrain textures to play with. And they sort of blend /transparency over the other where they ‘meet’ at the altitude you select. They aren’t blurry, per say. And it’s SUPER fun. Terrain textures really can help a lot.
  16. Approach change with caution, but I agree wholeheartedly! It has to happen - especially if we want Second Life 20 years from now. This kind of transparency helpes me understand what the Lab thinks is important - for their business, all of their jobs, everything. In general, I think it's easy to pretend the Lindens are just avatars, but let's not forget that they are people too... with paychecks and jobs working for a company that is trying to figure out and unravel really a complicated mess of a technology knot. They don't want the Residents to hate them or Second Life - they want residents to like Second Life and want to come and spend time and money here. For me, let's 'try it'goes a long way with change....
  17. Agreed! I've found Strawberry to be really accessible and I thought the questions she asked were really good! She even got Patch and Grumpity to talk about the mainland (which was awesome). It was encouraging for me to understand what the Lab is focusing on and it was encouraging for me to hear them say that they would look at mainland infrastructure when they finish off some those of these other projects (new avatars and the 2048 Belli homes). And lowering of mainland tier? And homesteads? And mirrors (ish)! It was a good one for me.... cool stuff coming and I deff feel like the Lab is listening when residents talk. I see the effort they are putting in!
  18. You keep saying that - ‘the people who work and live here’… I AM one of those people you keep talking about that live on the mainland AND work there…..and I like the PODs. In fact, there is a big inworld pod community group that loves them. People post that they love them (here, inworld, on social media, etc) and I see people in them all the time. Each to their own, I guess? @sunderezzThere is an inworld group and a Discord too that you can join with other people that like to ride the PODs.
  19. This was 100% me a year or so ago! I spent almost a decade in the SL RP community, and I bought one little parcel to play with and I saw a POD go by… and that was it. The PODs changed everything for me. Awesome, right??? Welcome! Welcome! ❤️
