I learned of a a date for a ‘community meeting’, (5/20) but it was posted in the comments of a Reddit thread on the Thune acquisition. I might be jumping the gun here but…. - Is this the big community meeting that was promised from the Lab Gab or is this meeting about Thune? -If this is a Thune meeting, when is the date for the round table? -If so, are these details being posted in a public place - not just in the comments of a Reddit thread? Just want to make sure everyone gets the chance to come that wants to and that they are going to the right meeting for the right thing.

I wish I could say the same thing. Tilia employees used my personal information to creep on my LinkedIn account. Be very careful. -
Lab Gab April 2024 - Comments? Discussion?

100 % this. I don't think people realize what a dangerous area this is - especially with age and identity verification. Doxxing is a real thing. -
I'm sad thinking about the mountain of Second Life creators that would have LOVED to put a freebie there that might help show their brand. This is -exactly- the kind of thing I've been talking about for a really long time. In fact, LOTS of people have been talking about this for a really long time. (And for the record, Linden Lab, it doesn't take much to research!) Everyone wants to point fingers at me and tell me I'm spiteful and ungrateful...but that doesn't change ANY of the facts that I'm bringing up. Answer the questions.
-
I respect you too much to pretend that you didn't know that you were being insulting and passive aggressive. It also seems like you might have missed the rest of the list of questions. Let me help. Who made the committee? Who approved it on the Linden side? It's my understanding that there are designers on these regions that are giving out 'freebies' for their brands - who decided who those designers would be? And if it's true that there are desginers, was there an oppertunity for all of the Second Life designers to put up their items with a freebie - or just the ones that your Planning Committee selected?

Hey Delilah! Did you check out the link yourself? All I see is an open invite for people to 'send pictures to the committee'. Your answer doesn't really address any of the questions I asked. You're also 'calling names' - That's not a pretty look on anyone either. My questions are fair. They deserve an honest answer.

Thanks for responding, Prudence. So to be clear; you've been planning this Bellisseria specific event - with at least four regions for you and your planning commitee to decorate- for the past year? I just want to make sure I'm not misunderstanding this. Interesting. I think many of us would be SUPER interested in being part of any team of people that 'have hosted many events over the years' - especially those that have Linden Lab support, marketing, and future 'event hosting oppertunities'. Can you help me (and anyone else interested) understand how we get the oppertunity to do those things? It seems like all of these oppertunities keep being offered to the same people - the people in the groups that you mentioned in your 'statement' above.

To be fair, this wasn't suppose to be public knowledge. My sources say that it has been kept from the public by design. The four 'resident decorated' regions by BBB members and their friends are suppose to be coming out, offically, in April for the 'community to enjoy' at the event. This post is because I'm following up on the information I recieved and verifying the video/screenshots I was given. To be clear - An employee of Linden Lab reached out to me to 'meet with me to hear my experience' about bias and favoritism with this specific group, and he wanted to 'let me know that these types of decisions are being investigated.' As someone who formerly PAID for a full region, LOADS of mainland tier, had my own residence in Belli, and also hosted events on private regions THAT I PAID FOR... I'm trying to understand this decision. Especially with everything else going on - including a YouTube that specifically outlines the favortism that Linden Lab is showing with this particular group. It doesn't look like anyone is really investigating anything. It looks like everyone is just carrying on, hiding and being dishonest - like normal. Just looking for a little context here about this OBVIOUS favortism?

Just learned about this today and wanted to confirm.... Is it true that the BBB (and any friends they exclusively offer to come and help) have been give FOUR regions to decorate to celebrate the Belliseria anniversary coming up? If so, was this offer given to anyone else that is also in the community?

tutorial Enhance Machinima using free AI tools
Feorie Frimon replied to Pryda Parx's topic in Machinima Forum
Can't wait to try this!!!!!!! 😍 -
XBox controller works as well! Between Space Mouse, XBox controller, and changing up the lighting options with dofferent viewers/various viewer add ons... I think thats how most people film in Second Life. I'm not a professional, but I've found all that to be the easiest part of filming in SL. (Movement has been more challenging for me.) Alot of people 'film' directly with their video card on their computers, but others use OBS Studio and Streamlabs too. (Jackson did a tutorial on this a few months ago if you are interested! ) Welcome!

Namara: A Fantasy Second Life Machinima
Feorie Frimon replied to Feorie Frimon's topic in Machinima Forum
Romy and Inviktus go camping, the Nytestalkers have a close encounter, and the Dre / Lilith crew prepares for pick up. -
Hey everyone! I've got a little space in Bay City that I'm trying to 'stream an online radio statio' as the music for the land. (Forgive me if my terms for this part of SL aren't 100% correct - I know ZERO about DJ / streaming / music / etc.) The station I'd like to 'play on my land' is here: https://www.jango.com/stations/396439588 I did a Google search to see if I could figure it out myself and found lots of articles that say something like this: ...but I don't ever see a URL when I navigate to that tab. (screenshot below) . Am I trying to do something that isn't possible? I'm sure it's there, I just don't know what to look for...

Voice Actress Needed for Ongoing Machinima Series
Feorie Frimon posted a topic in Inworld Employment
ABOUT THE ROLE Bay City Studios is seeking a Voice Actor (likely a Second Life Resident) to fill a voice role for an ongoing Machinima fantasy YouTube series, Namara. Episodes will be released bi-weekly (ish) for Season 1 and featured on the Bay City Studios website as well as Youtube, Twitter, Flickr, BlueSky. We anticipate 1 to 3 ‘sessions’ for this role over the course of 2024. ‘Sila’ is a roguish assassin that was trained at the Silencia Syladeum (epic rouge academy) in the realm of Koldroon. She joined House NyteStalker - a clan of bounty hunters that scavenge the lands for their victims. As a reward for her service to her House, she was ‘granted the gift of eternal life’ by becoming a sha-zette (vampire). Her lover is Amarok, the werewolf, and she currently works in a small group of Nytestalkers under her commander, Murda. She’s fast talking, snarky, and resourceful and her over all ‘look’ holds a ‘dark elf’ feel. See above for a preview. REQUIREMENTS You will be given a rough draft of the episode that will be released next (In production - Scheduled for 1/3/24). The script you are to read will display, in words, over the top of the footage. Notes about how the lines should be delivered are provided in the video as well. We require that at least three versions of your voice recording be delivered within five days (1/9/24). (Three versions gives us options to use during the editing process.) We have some voice actors that decide to add their acting as they watch the episode - three times. We have some actors that pause the video as they read, and say the line then, three times (in three different ways) for their recording. We ask that you be prepared to provide one round of ‘revisions’ - just in case we need a specific line delivered a specific way. (We’ve never done this, but just in case…) All actors MUST have a high quality microphone to record audio (We aren’t specific about the microphone you have, but know that audio samples are required in the application. One of our actors use a headset, one uses an ASMR mic, and one uses their iPhone. If you are unsure, record something and send it over.) SKILLS NEEDED No experience necessary English Speaking Effective communication skills to work collaboratively with directors and producers. Acting skills, creativity and imagination to bring characters to life in audio recordings. Confidence to captivate audiences. Ability to take direction and incorporate feedback into performances. Ability to maintain deadlines COMPENSATION: $1,000 Linden Dollars per session For more information, apply here! -
