Buying Linden becomes stuck on "Estimating..."

It may be a problem with the LindeX, although nothing is showing in the Grid Status Blog right now. Try using a different we browser, though.  If it's a local problem, sometimes that will clear a minor issue like this.

This problem has given you the opportunity to save some money.

Any time you buy $L, Linden Lab charges you a $1.49 transaction fee.  This is a fixed amount, regardless of how many or how few $L you buy.

What that means is, you should buy your $L in the largest chunks that you can, to minimize the impact of these transaction fees.  I recommend buying a minimum amount of $20.00 USD worth of $L at a time.  (That'd be about $L5,200).

Have you retried lately. It may very well have been due to a 'slow response' incident LL was having a couple of hours ago.

That, absolutely that. Plus slow loading and: can you actually buy such a little sum? I might be mixing it up, but isn't L$ 2500 the minimum?
