Frank Lomba
Just returning to SL after a long break, and trying to get myself set up again. Got me a Jake body, Catwa head and some other stuff like skin and AO. Now I have spend a large part of the day running around shops and MP but so far only got me some suits from Deadwool and their hair, but I cant really find anything else to my taste. So my question: could someone point me in the right direction for casual chic clothing, and good quality male mesh hair. I do not care much for "street" or "biker" style, but that seems to be mostly what I keep running into.
Orwar
I'm afraid we're quite out of luck on the fashion front. But you may want to look up ContraptioN (some Victorian/Steampunk apparel) and ColdAsh.

If you have hit Deadwood already, then Cold Ash might be your next logical stop. That is where I send my male RL friends. The other option would be to search the Marketplace for clothes that will fit Jake and go from there. Justice might have some also. I am not a guy but I do sometimes use my male body for blogging things. Good luck and know it "isn't you" but the market LOL. Doesn't help I know. no.match has some nice male hair. That's all I got! ALSO depending on the style of clothes, you may be able to use a different mesh fit than "Jake" so demo some things you like. This works best on long sleeved tops and pants that will have shirt and sweaters on top of them. 1

Skell Dagger
You've actually chosen the second most rigged-for body out there, in the form of Jake. Right now Gianni is still king, with Jake a close second. There's a surprising amount of good quality casual chic clothing out there, but not a lot of it makes its way to the main menswear events, which - as you've discovered - have been all over the urban streetwear clothing like a bad case of hives for something like the past two years. It's something that I've been rather voluble in b!tching about, to be honest. Every single male event has been overrun by sweatpants, sweatshirts, sweatshorts, hoodies, sneakers, sportswear, tank tops, and tattoos. My own tastes tend a little more toward the historical (as does Orwar's) and the avant garde, but off the top of my head (and without being logged in to check my inventory) I've come up with a fairly decent list to get you started. I've just considered clothing and hair, but if you want advice on skins, eyes, facial hair, etc then post here again. You've already found the best place for suits, in Deadwool. As with all stores in SL, with many of these links (I've offered both Flickr and Marketplace where both exist) you'll have to dig through the extensive female items to find the male ones. And with a couple of them you'll need to dig through the more 'out there' stuff to find the casual gems (Riot being one of those, with some fantastic bootcut jeans, among other things). And, of course, there are many many more stores in SL. This is just a small sampling that I came up with. I've been blogging male SL fashion for 11 years, so if there's something more specific that you're looking for then post back here and I'll see if I can dig out some additional places for you. Lastly, if you need any help with your Catwa head, shoot me a PM here or an IM inworld. I'm a CSR for Catwa, so I can offer advice on any issues or queries that you have. Frank Lomba
Thanks for the response all! Just visited ColdAsh and I am gratefull they had a summersale, or I would probably not be able to pay my rent for the next year. Great store! Will work down the list, probably bankrupting myself in the proces.

Sorry if that is incorrect info.
Lewis Luminos
Lapointe and Bastchilde is hands-down my favourite, for both formal and casual wear. I have a ton of their stuff already and would have more if I was richer. Hoorenbeeks still does a lot of casual chic stuff though it's mostly old and looking dated now. A quick and dirty Marketplace search in Apparel > Mens > Outfits > Suits, using "Jake" as a keyword, brings up a few possibilities like Zed, Caligula, Tugba, Gas, Hypnose, Bond 7 and a few others, but I can't vouch for quality as I've not tried most of them. For hair, my favourites are Exile, Fabia and No Match, though No Match is better for longer styles than short ones.
