kiramanell
So, yeah, I read about the new homes, the other day, and, as a premium member, I was going to get me one of them nice boathouses. Lo and behold, there are all gone, though! Not just the boathouses... everything! Just the crappy old, 117 prim, Tahoe, Elderglen, Sahreta Osumai, and Meadowbrook regions are still left. Needless to say, I'm disappointed by this. Never, at any point, did Linden say this was just going to be a 2-days deal only, and 'If you snooze, you lose.' Some of us are actually not spending their entire days in SL. I logged on yesterday, only 2 days after they apparently were announced, and they're all gone already. What a sad state of affairs. Someone, on channel, said LL may not have anticipated the rush on them. What, they didn't expect ppl would want to trade their crappy home and 117 prim parcel for a 1,024 one with a beautiful boathouse?! Somehow I find that hard to believe. I think LL should make these homes available to ALL Premium members, and not just to a happy few that happened to be online the last 2 days, as we're all paying the same Premium fees too. They know exactly how many Premium users they have: they should make an according amount of homes available. Period. 3

kiramanell
Last thing I heard (the other day, on channel) that LL had said they had no plans to add new ones, when asked about it. Hope that that was 'fake news' then.
Buttacwup Float
There are dozens of regions on the new continent that are still in process of getting homes and landscaping done. Lots more are coming.

kiramanell
Why, looks like I could have saved myself the trouble, as a new, official Linden Homes Update was just posted, stating new homes will be a-coming soon. Yes, I've been saying it all over the place, we have a batch coming in short order, and sorry we ran out so fast! 9

Many people thought that Belliseria was way too ambitious and that 95% of the homes would remain empty and other negativity. It's actually good to see that it turned out not ambitious enough and that the adoption rate was so incredibly high, especially considering how much mainland, and older premium regions are empty and hardly used. Congratulations on hitting the proverbial jackpot!
Hollie Teardrop
I was excited about these new homes when my partner told me and as you can imagine as disappointed as everyone else to find they were all gone so quickly. I can understand that demand has far outstripped expectations, and even that this would have been hard to predict as Fritigern said. Trying to be constructive here though I would ask that LL look at two things when more are made available: 1. The process for upgrading requires you to clear out and abandon your existing home first, before you know if you're going to be able to get a new one. Can't there be some way of letting you try for a new one first, or claiming one before you abandon? 2. 'In short order' Some idea of timescales should be possible. Are we talking days, weeks or months here? Some idea at least of how long that might be would be very helpful. It's not a contract just an idea so residents can plan what to do. Having cleared out and abandoned both our homes we are in limbo. Yes we've taken an old style 175LI home as like a 'Temporary B&B' but there's no point setting up again when we know we're going to move, and having no idea when that may be is restricting. The idea of these homes is great and well overdue in my view. Having had a look at the new continent the roads and waters are a wonderful enhancement to the Linden Home experience. The extra primmage makes these homes viable and a practical alternative to private renting for many more of us. It's a shame these two things are spoiling it for many. Sylvia Tamalyn
That applies to others, not just owners of the old Linden homes, though. Some of us abandoned Mainland parcels to get one of these new homes. The process I used worked well enough, so maybe it will be helpful for you: Watch these forums for news that homes are available, hop over to the new land and see for yourself that there are indeed empty homes (just look for unoccupied houses and check to see if LL is still the owner of the parcel), and THEN run abandon your parcel and grab your new home. (And before anyone says it, I definitely am not on SL all day long. I work a 40 hour/week job in RL so wasn't even online when the land rush started!) LittleMe Jewell
Another option, though definitely not for everyone: If you are willing to take a US $7 tier charge for one month (assuming you aren't paying any currently), then you can bump the radio button at the bottom of the Land Use Fees page. As long as that radio button is at least 1024 higher than whatever you are currently using, it will let you try for and accept a new Linden Home. Note that bumping the radio button will NOT incur any costs until such time as your tier usage actually increases. Unfortunately, if you are already using more than the 1024, then bumping to the next level may cost more than $7.
