0 Callum Meriman
Particles are a prim property, like texture rotation and hovertext are. The script just sets that property. To remove particles you need to put this scrubber into the object... default { state_entry() { llParticleSystem( [] ); } }

0 Rolig Loon
Because, as Callum explained, they are properties of the prim that they are in, not properties of a script. Particles and hover text, prim point light, and several other properties can only be switched ON/OFF with a script, but do not require a script to persist. The script is just a switch. Once it has done its job, you may remove it. Edited November 5, 2018 by Rolig Loon 3
0 Nalates Urriah
Prims have properties. You can make a prim blue. Color is a property. We set color via the Build Editor or a script. Once the color is set, it remains until changed. Particles and Hover Text are also properties of prims and thus remain until changed.
