I was looking at the TOS to see if there was any hint that targeting a political party in a negative way could be considered "harassment", since i'm pretty sure party membership is not a protected class in human rights legislation, but instead I found this fascinating subsection.

---------------------

6.1 You will not post or transmit prohibited Content, including any Content that is illegal, harassing or violates any person's rights.

(vi) Post, display or transmit any Content or conduct or host any activity that is sexually explicit, or intensely violent.

Any violation by you of the terms of this Section may result in immediate termination of your Accounts without any refund or other compensation.

-------------------------

According to section vi, ANY hosted sexually explicit activity is illegal, and can result in your immediate termination.

Second Life sex is the backbone of second life, and here LL basically say's it's all illegal.

What gives?

You were likely reading the Linden Lab general terms of service which is used for Sansar, Patterns, and Blocksworld. It serves as a default for LL's platforms.

You want https://www.lindenlab.com/legal/second-life-terms-and-conditions (Relevant statement is at 4.iv) which has a condition to that stating you cannot transmit sexually explicit or violent content UNLESS the maturity rating says otherwise.

You have to remember, these agreements and terms of services that all these companies have are written by lawyers, completely detached from reality, looking to protect themselves from lawsuits. That's all they are.

They often don't make sense or don't even apply to the product they're attached to.

not at all. harassment or discrimination based on being a member of protected classes such as race religion sex sexual orientation etc are clearly prohibited both in SL and in RL.

Being a member of that brain damaged segment of society known as democrats or socialists isn't protected though.

If i had a store in RL and I posted a sign saying no Democrats allowed then a Democrat would have no recourse for redress under any human rights statutes.

I hosted a mixer at my place last night and had to eject one trouble maker from the group because she was a "mesh goddess" that sneered at the other guests that had not attained her high level of perfection.

Lets hope she doesn't file some sort of abuse report.

Its a good thing butt hurt isn't grounds for filing an AR. I could have just offered her a jar of butt hurt cream, I still have a case I was unable to have delivered to someone in need.

I'd imagine if you were to put up such a sign a large majority of people, democrat or otherwise, would be more than happy to respect your wishes and avoid your store, given the current political climate and your apparent desire to further provoke animosity and conflict! ;)

... yeah, but I'm pretty sure addressing people with differing political views as "brain damaged" counts as regular harassment, and attempting to pivot every thread counts as trolling.

I was referring to a class of individuals. I would never ever call anyone in here brain damaged, however I can't say the same for others.

As I said before, if my presence here offends you feel free to block me and we'll both be happier.

Its already happened. Trump supporters have been harassed in businesses and told to leave. I guess thats okey because Trump supporters are the "bad guys".

Why is it that the people on the left, those champions of tolerance and acceptance are the most racist hateful people in America today?

I wouldn't know, since I'm neither a democrat nor an american I'm afraid I have very little understanding of what fuels the apparent blind hatred that seems to be consuming your country and can only sit and marvel at the senselessness of it all!

Neither can most of us, believe me. And trust me, we do nothing but marvel.

I can quite believe it.  I try very hard not to judge others based on their political leanings or beliefs but solely on the way in which they treat others , and in the case of what's going on in America right now I can only sympathize with anyone caught in the middle and hope that one day soon people will come to their senses and realize they have far more in common than what separates them, it saddens me deeply to see any group of people so divided!

But when a guy refused to do a cake for a gay marriage the same folks applauded, all I can say is "enjoy tasting your own medicine"... you wanted it - you got it -  now please stop whining and next time you wish for something: "Think first!"

You get me wrong, I'm all for it.

Private property rights should trump all other rights.

You  have the right to have a wedding cake at your gay wedding, but you shouldn't have the right to force me to bake you one.

The blind hatred in America is being directed at President Trump and his administration and by extension anyone that supports him... by who? Democrats, socialists, and any other leftists that are upset that their march to a socialist Utopia has been sidetracked by the election of a man who spoke to the silent majority that felt they were seeing the founding principles of this country being destroyed day by day.

Maxine Waters Calls For Attacks On Members Of Trump Administration

Sen. Maxine Waters (D-CA) called for attacks against members of President Donald Trump's administration over the weekend, screaming to a group of supporters that they should not be welcomed anywhere in society.

Waters' rage-filled rant reportedly happened "during a toy drive outside the Wilshire Federal Building on Saturday," according to The American Mirror.

Waters, who falsely claimed that Trump was "sacrificing our children," appeared intent on inciting violence, saying, "If you think we’re rallying now, you ain’t seen nothing yet."

"Already, you have members of your Cabinet that are being booed out of restaurants ... who have protesters taking up at their house, who say, ‘No peace, no sleep! No peace, no sleep!'” Waters continued.

"God is on our side!" Waters declared.

Waters then called for attacks on individual members of the Trump administration, saying, "Let’s make sure we show up wherever we have to show up and if you see anybody from that Cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd and you push back on them, and you tell them they’re not welcome anymore, anywhere."

Waters' extremist rhetoric comes a year after a Democratic terrorist tried to assassinate multiple Republican lawmakers during a baseball practice in Alexandria, Virginia.

It is heartbreaking for sure.
I've found this book by the historian Nancy MacLean helpful in understanding the dynamics, or if you don't want to buy the book then there's plenty of interviews by the author online as well as videos on Youtube that carry the gist of it pretty well.
Democracy in Chains: The Deep History of the Radical Right's Stealth Plan for America

https://www.amazon.com/Democracy-Chains-History-Radical-Stealth/dp/1101980966

Basically, there's a group of far-right conservatives who, in their near-religious reverence for the free market as the solution to the woes of the world, want to dismantle Social Security, Medicare, public schools...all the things the New Deal put in place after the depression...policies that demonstrate we care about each other and aren't just in it for ourselves and following the 'might makes right' impetus of the apes.  Unfortunately, with Trump, they are making good progress...this will eventually cause untold suffering for the poor and disadvantaged.
We have some hope to minimize it with the mid-term elections though.  Everybody in the US please VOTE!

OMG she's feeling angry about all the children who will die and suffer if the safety net is dismantled by Trump. What's wrong with the woman?

Numbers please.

Usually you suffer first and then you die, except Trump supporters, because I'm sure the Left will curse them all to Hell where they will suffer for all eternity.

Some would have us go fully socialist to "save the children"

*my bad... leftists usually don't believe in Heaven or Hell*
