Question

Hello all,

I seem to have this recurring issue where I am unable to click and select items my av is wearing for the sake of editing, resizing, etc. When I click, it turns into the "object view" square magnifying glass icon and moves the camera, however selecting/deselecting the object view doesn't make a difference. Eventually it goes back to normal, but I can't imagine I'm not overlooking some obvious fix here. Anybody have any advice? Or would it simply be a logging issue?

I'm not sure what you mean.  It sounds like you are in mouselook, but I can't figure out why and I don't recognize anything that looks like a "square magnifying glass icon".  You certainly can't do any editing in mouselook.  If that's your issue, just scroll back on your mouse wheel (or hit ESC) to get out of mouselook and back to normal view.

I'm guessing you right clicked the mouse and selected "Edit my outfit" from the popup menu.  That is not what you want to use to edit an individual item.  That process is for adding and removing items from your current outfit and saving it.  Instead you want to right click the item in question and just select "Edit".

I'm with Rolig, I have no idea what you mean by "object view".

There are system-clothes and attachments. Clothes as attachments come in not rigged, rigged, and fitted rigging. Clothes not rigged can be selected and edited. But, selecting is tricky with any mesh attachment.

It is more difficult to select rigged and fitted mesh. Even when selected they cannot be edited for size, rotation, or position. Those parameters are set in the rigging process and they cannot be changed via the viewer's edit process.

System clothes can only be selected via a menu or 'worn items' in inventory or appearance.
