Disguising an object

Say I want to rez a table on my sim, but don't want people to be able to click on object profile and see that I own the table.

How do I go about hiding my ownership or disguising it?

You can't. Take some responsibility!

You could give it to an Alt and let the Alt rez it
Then of course it would be owned by the Alt and not by you

It would be easier to advise you if you told what the purpose for this is

If disguising the table will work, and you have mod permissions on it, set the transparancy to 100 in the edit tool box to make it invisible.  Then revert to zero when you want to use it.

You could disguise it with a tablecloth. They sell those on the marketplace. I don't think you can hide the ownership of it even with an alt. If it's sitting on your sim, people will assume you rezzed it unless it's some public area where other people can rez things.

You could hide the object in a big fuzzy box...owned by a deep ALT account of an ALT of an ALT of your cousin's SL account.

Any of the above, or you could decide not to rezz objects on other people's land, especially objects that the landowners would not want on their land

 

Note to everyone else: It sounds like the OP wants to place something on someone else's land but doesn't want the landowner to know it was him/her.
