I need peoples opinion on the best theme to have my combat sim out of the following: 

snow

woodland

jungle

desert/grassland

desert 

temperate

rocky

coast

urban 

other (please state)

Desert or anything without too many grass, trees, and other things that (for combat) are not really needed and take time to render -  can slow some people.

depends what type of combat I personally am a halfbreed elf I like jungles when it comes to bow fighting and arenas.

Then you have CyberPunk style like NeoCron 2, and CyberPunk MMO which not released yet also great if done correctly.

Desert is good of course depending on RP style and sims I know of only one in SL that has good admins and management.

Snow, Yes I love snow themes especially done correctly with off sim combat would work best for military based comat in artic.

Other, Overall it would depend on what you are really looking for any theme can work depends on the combat style temperate, rocky, woodland it can in general all work but it has to look professional and nice land scaping with themes, weather, waves and so on and not too laggy with asset UUID sound spam.

For a combat RP sim? Snow, think how well the blood will show up against the white background.
