Defense against over feeding perhaps.  Could be fear of flying.  General crankyness.  Chipmunk with a chip on his shoulder.  Approach-avoidance syndrome.  Detachment avoidance rebound.  idk.

I remember how it was when I had a large number of girls following me.

At first, servicing all those girls all the time was lots of fun.

Sometimes as much as a dozen times a day.

But then it began to wear me out.

Suddenly I was tired all of the time.

And when I get tired I get cranky.

And when I'm cranky I don't want any one near me.

So I can full well understand your feelings here.

The permission system for MySecondlife is not foolproof.  It is either buggy or ignores your setting not to allow followers under certain circumstances, which defeats the purpose of having permission options IMO.

I find it necessary to go to my profile on the web once in a while to clean out those following me and the I am following, as well as check to be sure that my permission settings are still set to my preferences.  I have found that they change too sometimes, even though I didn't change them.  I just wish we could opt out all together from the whole following/follow trending facetwit thing so that it is not even part of our web profiles.

Sometimes I think not enough people really care or realize there could be a choice if they spoke their minds.

Personally speaking, I think the way profiles are layed out and function now is borked.

Not caring and not knowing are two different things.

If they care but don't know, then it is my fault, if they know but don't care, well, they don't care. I don't want to change anyone's mind, I just want those that agree to know they can at least try to make a change.

This one is not that big a deal, it is easy to just never look at profiles, but it is a shame I cannot use a feature that I really used to like, my profile.

A) They were following you before you set your privacy levels or

B) Your name is someone.resident or

C) You are nibbling on my nuts, and actually someone named noone is following you.

Yes, one can.

But we can't stop/remove our friends that already follow us without defriending them.  We can only stop them from starting to follow us.  Stop following me you friends. There's nothing there to follow.  LOL   they didn't do it on purpose.  Someone decided for them.

Anyone who is listed in your Followers tab can be removed.
