If you don't like it LEAVE!! someone pays for that sim you don't, imagine if they didn't you wouldn't have anywhere to go and whine publicly  you probably never even tipped a sim, even one where it was either in total complaiance or not, so who cares what you think!

Get real folks. There is very little that can be done in SL that

Self styled police are fine. As long as your on their side. I suppose "live and let live" is out of the question

considering some of the complaints I have seen in these forums. But it is a nice thought.

You are not living and letting live. Some people are more comfortable in a regulated environment. You are scolding people who want to see the rules of that environment be upheld or regulated. That is your right too, but it is not living and letting live.

Living and letting live is ignoring what you dislike.

To the topic starter: You say the land was claimed in 2006. What does claimed mean? If the land is not really being run by someone any more, it should be cleared by Linden Lab. That still does happen. I found that out myself when I was trying to buy some properties and no one ever answered. Turned out they had left Linden Lab long before, but their stuff and land was still as they left it. Put in a ticket and find out. Let the Lab sort it out.

Second Life isn't about anarchy, some people want it to be, but it is not. It is a privately held company with rules.

In 'about land' or the more modern 'parcel details' General tab it lists when the land was obtained/purchased or whatever using the field name of 'Claimed'

Today I visited this location.  I remember seeing it a couple years back.

The location is found in search.  I didn't search the entire area for pose balls.  I did find an enclosed location with a couple people inside.  Perhaps the special poses were there.  The parcel is set to public access.  It's not abandoned land.  It seems to be very popular with lots of AVs chatting and playing on the beach.

Thank you for the answer. I now know what Claimed means in regard to land. I think I had heard that term once before, but either didn't understand it then either, or forgot. Thanks.

So it's been around a long time. It probably just never complied to the Zindra updates and was never reported. I'm sure it IS a very popular sim. LOL

If it has adult equipment for use by anyone and is found in search then it seems it is against TOS for land usage. I would say let the Lab know and let them figure it all out.

Personally I think double standards are unfair. Everyone who used to be on mainland and had to move to Zindra obeyed the new rules. No reason why others like them should be exempt. Now if only that enormous escort resort on mainland would follow suit.

People who want that unregulated environment can pay for it.

Get an estate, set it to adult, and have your way.

Consider that people on G and M pay as well, to be in places that have and enforce G and M rules. Even people on Zindra, pay a version of A that follows mainland policies over things like adfarms and encroachment.

Well since the Lindens can't be everywhere and you have decided to take on the job yourself, maybe you can save my region some lag and STAY AWAY!!

I never claimed to be the morality police and what offends me or not is not the issue.  The issue is that should someone blatantly breaking the rules be AR'd or not when you stumble upon it..  It has been established that this not a private place but is a public beach in search.  TOS is clear that you can't have public sex in a moderate region on publicly advertised land.  Everyone agreed to these rules when they entered SL, including you.  If you didn't you lied and have no right to be here.

An ADULT or PRIVATE sim, like Ceka has, is another kettle of fish entirely.  As far as I am concerned she can do whatever she wants there.  Just as I have the right to do the same on my private sim.  And i agree with her that there should be a Private rating for just this situation.

FYI I have owned many sims public and private at all the variousrating levels, as well as a few large public venues in almost six years of SL and while I don't agree with all the rules, I do follow them as it showing respect for all people in SL, who may have very different values than I do..  If i don't and get AR'd I would have no one to blame but myself.

I don't go around looking for places to AR and when I stumble upon something like this I wouldn't AR them automatically.  I would be very sure that a rule violation is going on before doing that.  I probably would give the benfit of the doubt to the owner and IM them and tell them the facts in case they just didn't know any better.  But if they ignore that, yes I'll AR them out of fairness to all the other sim owners with adult venues that follow the rules.  What is the big deal with going to the Region tools and changing the rating to A, btw?

If you don't play fair, then i have no interest in coming to your region and wouldn't waste my time.  And if you think anything goes public sex in a public place outside of adult rated sims is OK, then do me a favor and stay out of mine too.

What gets my panties in a bunch is the fact that when I bought my mature mainland parcel, I could do whatever the hell I wanted... then LL decided to change the rules overnight, making it so that I was no longer getting that for which I'd paid.

Now, I just have to suck it up... but don't, for one second, expect me to be appreciative or acquiesce to their draconian demands that we, as mere users, need to report anyone and everyone that does anything that may slightly stray from their ill-conceived changes to the TOS, which we were forced into (if we wished to still be connected to the platform), to the detriment of our fellow residents.

I'd rather suffer from consistent, projectile vomiting and extended, explosive diarrhea... simultaneously.
