I prefer Slink and N-core and Maitreya over Similar. But that's a personal thing, I find the feet to be bent in an unnatural angle and the toes look squished in the Similar feet. I know that others love their style, I just never bought anything from them due to that.

And Maitreya has demos, I never had problems finding them anyway. I don't buy expensive shoes without a demo!

I think Stiletto Moody has not updated in years, they don't use alpha layers but invisiprims and is very heavy in scripts. And for a demo, isn't Stiletto Moody infamous for not having demos? Read some reviews.... https://marketplace.secondlife.com/stores/55999

You're right; I didn't see any demos on the marketplace, and from the reviews, customer service is terrible. The shoes look gorgeous online, but I won't buy without a demo based on those reviews. (And I'm infamous for buying without demos...)

My favorites have all been mentioned, pretty much. Similar is good, but I've been having enormous trouble color-matching with their shoes lately, and the last time I wore them (after wearing Maitreya for quite a while before that), they looked a little...odd, and kind of grayish in comparison. NCore are fabulous, though; just recently started wearing their shoes. Pixel Mode is good, too, but tricky to color match, especially for lighter skin tones. SLink is also very good, but I'm still a Maitreya Gold girl! (And they do have demos inworld, by the way.)

A lot of people seem very focused on marketplace shopping lately. The marketplace is great for some things, but most stores have more variety inworld. Once you find something you like, it's not a bad idea to go inworld and find the seller's main shop, and check it out. You might find more!

if you can't afford to spend much L$ Skifija does really good quality shoes and i've always managed to get an almost perfect skin match https://marketplace.secondlife.com/stores/34390

HOC also do some good shoes https://marketplace.secondlife.com/stores/10120

i'm loving my most recent shoe purchase from RAW HOUSE the JAYS shoe they look just like a certain RL shoe and you can re-texture almost every prim to mach different outfits https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/RAW-HOUSE-JAYS-Shoes-Retexturable-w-optional-sculpted-sock/2026942

maaaaaaaauuuuupppppppppppp :catembarrassed:

For me, when the toes are showing, its N-core. P10 sometimes.

Boots are a different story, i will buy boots boots boots :cattongue:

Personally i would just hit every shoe store and try a demo of what you think is there best foot/toes shoe, and see how well ithe texture takes the tint for your tone match. Many many many a fantastic shoes was destroyed by a terrible texture job of the toe/foot, making it darn impossible to have an acceptable match.

If only shoe designers and skin designers would get together.
