"Suzen Juel’s photostream is full of pictures she has taken at Second Life art installations. Some of the time she interacts with the installation as in “Bridge,” the picture above from Cica Ghost’s installation. I asked her for her favorite photo and she chose this one, explaining, “I LOVE Cica Ghosts work and had a chance to visit her sim. The lighting was already bright and warm so this one wasn't as complex as I can get with some.” " Read more on the blog.

"I recently had an opportunity to review the works of Cullum Writer. I was told I would be amazed. I think that was an understatement. What intrigues me is Cullum’s art is not created with a brush; it’s created by channeling her mind into the electronic world. For me, that is much different challenge than stroking a brush or pencil on canvas. " Read more on the blog.

"I love Second Life groups that focus on one thing and really do it. With over 200 members, Second Life Avians is just such a group, This picture, “Snowbird,” by Heather Falls, makes me think of a Christmas Card illustration. It’s perfect for a bit of text on the lower right wishing us a Merry Christmas or Season’s Greetings." Read more on the blog.

Behind the canvas 10 professional dancers were waiting to cut the canvas and force their bodies through the openings to symbolize the escape from suppression, humiliation, brutality, disrespect and most of all the escape from indifference. At the end of the performance the canvas was cut into strips and sold." Read more on the blog.

"No stranger to the arts scene, TerraMerhyem presents a popular figure.   On first meeting her, one is immediately struck by her warm-hearted and loving nature.    Terra’s avatar is striking, hard to miss in a crowd: tall, willowy and adorned in wondrous costumes reflective of her love of mythology, and oh, of course, her self-confessed narcissism.  She also has a tremendous sense of humour as you’ll see from her responses to my questions." Sadie : The Mask

Art

"My eyes glanced over the butterflies as all the warmth from the colors surrounded me. I sat down for a moment onto the hard surface and peered out over the darkness in front of me. My eyes drifted to the mask in the corner. It’s dark eyes seemed to penetrate through me. As if it could see and hear every thought in my head. With each blink the area around me changed. Little flecks of fire soared through the air." Read more on the blog.
