"If you’ve been following my blog, you might know that I decided just over a year ago to give my novel, ‘Beside an Open Window,’ a bit of an update. This includes a title change to ‘Thank You For Afterlifing With Us.’ It’s a novel about a digital afterlife called ‘Pink Dawn.’ I ran a serialisation of one half of the novel in the following months and I’ve now finished updating the other half. The book will launch on Saturday, and will be available in Kindle, PDF and print versions." Read more on the blog.

"Episode six of The Avatar Dining Club Mysteries. Each episode is an audio recording of me reading one of my short stories about a group of metaversians who meet in real life for a monthly meal and a mystery. This is the final episode in the current season. Want a second season? Let me know in the comments!" Read more on the blog.

"Hope
is a four letter word
that we learned as children
meant our dreams just might be heard.
That the world just might not end,
that the nukes were absurd,
and that ‘truth’ was relative
and that ‘truth’ would get stirred
and spread across the globe
so that boundaries got blurred.
We thought hatred would be beaten
and the powerless heard."

"At the reunion park, there was a man on the dead side and a woman with a young boy on the living side.  The man was crouched down to the level of his son and the boy kept pressing against the divide between them as though it might give way if he pushed hard enough.  The man put his fingers against where the boy’s fingers touched the ‘glass’.  He was leaving tiny smears there from the melted ice cream he had been clutching just a few minutes earlier."  Read more on the blog.

"“Some wish to divide and conquer. It makes them feel superior. Others like to see discord and splintering for a sense of control, as they have little power over other aspects of their lives,” said one anonymous Second Life resident, when I asked them about their experiences with the power dynamics often found in groups."
