  1. Where are the texture for the LL grass ground in Horizons?
  2. I would have empty parcels. I do not understand why Bay City and those parcels have double prims and the same tier. I think LL should be careful with their prices now. It is not free game, unless one will use only freebies and live in sandboxes. Look at those regions, it is 1024 parcels, but also 2048 and 4096. (More than one parcel together). I just rented 2048, it is 2 / 1024 parcels. With 1406 Li. LL also has water between, roads, some protected land and communal builds. It is no covenant. It can be huge stores, small cottages, 64 m prims, anything goes. It was "said" to be a theme, but no Linden or Mole ever enforced it. Mainland 2.0 could be the same, with just a few rules. No sky build under x height, nothing on ground taller than x. I think it should be free to have stores, private homes, airports, GTF, tents, anything inside the height restrictions. Bellisseria is a bit tame.
  3. New Mainland need fixed parcels. It is the cutting of parcels that ruin old Mainland. I wish LL would build some new Mainland with rules, but I am afraid they will price it so high that I can not afford it. PremiumPlus is simply too expensive, the amount of land should be at least 4096 m without tier. Price for ordinary mainland (buy and tier) is already more than enough.
  4. Yes, but no sailable water... That is what Blake Sea is all about, yes? I tricked with draw distance so the neighbor wasn't visible. I used 124 m dd, so they aren't very close. But those who move to this region do not use high flat privacy plates, so it is mainland of the better kind. It is a 100% water region.
  5. I have not posted in a long time, because I had nothing new to show. But I put up a Trompe Loeil house instead of the Roost house I had. And the lighthouse and outsim dolphins stay on this plot as long as I rent it, along with the seagulls from ee Oh. Living with void water on two sides, I can go all the way out with offsim decor. The boats are decor, since void water is not sailable. I can pick up the boats if I need more Li for furniture, but I have not finished the inside. I am using a pool physics box set to transparent so I do not sink to the bottom. That is 0.5 li at max size 64x64, same size as my land. The pier is something I made myself. It is bigger than the original. Maybe too big, I might shrink it.
  6. With Firestorm, we can lock the camera in the position we want, it is very useful if I set up for a picture, and suddenly see that I need to change something in the outfit. Like adjusting the grip on a purse so it does not clip in my leg. In FS camera control it it 2 buttons, one with an eye and an arrow 'up', one with an arrow 'down'. I can lock the camera when I press the 'eye down', then zoom closer, fix what is wrong, and hit the Firestorm 'eye up' button again to go back to the correct angle. This can only save one placement, in HUDs for photography it is probably lots of options. I am sure it is very useful for those who blog. I think I bought one of those HUDs, but it is too much to fiddle with for me. I made some projected lights myself, to attach to my avatar. I also have some special lights that I got with tattoos that use materials. That is stuff we attach. I use rezzed projected light on my sky platform, so I do not attach many projectors at a time. My homemade set of projectors to wear has 5 cubes with projected light textures I change myself, and since it is linked it is only 1 attachment point. It is very crude, I must select each light manually and change angle, turn it on/off and change color/radius/intensity. I bet it is lots of systems where all is in a HUD for easier use. That would use more attachment points. I 'fly by my the seat of my pants' when I take pictures, I am not using all the attachments one can buy.
  7. I do not think 1 attachment point from the FS bridge would be enough to help... It is just one. The other things like huggers, spankers and all the other stuff worn when only taking pictures would be what I took off first. But I do not say how others do their SL, take off this and that because I would take it off. It is not my business. If they need so many attachment points in their SL, it is valid. I believe it would not hurt SL and performance for others if the number of attachment points was raised to 50. I think so few would use it, it would not have an effect on SL in general. We are many more using 20-30 points, and I can not imagine wearing over 38, even if the number was raised to 50. I can imagine using over 38 for pictures in very rare cases, but not outside that.
  8. Can we take off the Firestorm bridge? I thought we could not function without it (running Firestorm). What happens when we take it off, is a new one created next time we log in?
  9. The mod versus no mod is a big problem for me. I said for maybe 10 years ago: "No mod, no buy". That did not last long. I can not do it. It is so few that allow mod, and it gets worse every year. Creators use color change and texture change HUDs and set the item to no modify. If I only buy modify, I am left with few options... 😪 And the creators do not notice if one of 10 000 drop their products. I have never seen others outside of the forum wish for modify rights in SL.
  10. It depends on the style and where you go in SL, but another blogger is Billy Beaverhausen. I do not link him, since he has risky outfits with minimal clothing, like jockstraps, tanks and thongs. Often posing with another guy. (Not only underwear, but he has a lot of those posts ) It is easy to find his blog when you search. He has a unique name. He is of the more muscular type of avatar, not slim like Skell Dagger. Billy has a lot of mesh heads and bodies. He post a detailed list of what he is wearing.
  11. Not all submit demos there. I just checked for a skin I wanted to look up. But it might help some, if they are lucky.
  12. I have bought a cord necklace where I can customize text. The notecard says: How to add text: Open the included "TEXT UV layout" in Photoshop and add your text on the UV island. Save as .png with transparency and upload to SL. Rezz the necklace and hit ctrl-alt-T to show the transparent face. Right click on the necklace>edit> select face>click on the transparent face>add your texture. I have followed this, and the text is visible when the necklace is rezzed on ground. But when I take it back to inventory and wear it, the text is invisible. Maybe there are alpha in the hair that cover the necklace. I try ctrl-alt-T but can not see any transparency hair over it. To be sure, I rez another copy and set transparency to Alpha Masking and cutoff 100. It does not help. I have tried this several times now. I take the edited necklace back to inventory, or take a copy. I change the cutoff value up, as high as 200, or down. I change EEP. I try with and without shadows. I refresh texture when wearing it. I am sure it is some little, stupid thing I do wrong, but what?
  13. I have always liked rough looking men. I think you gave this guy a friendly/neutral expression. The scowl is overused in SL, it is either pretty boy faces or angry faces. Good to see something else. Even as a teen, I thought the babyfaced actors and boybands wasn't interesting. I think the brows on this avatar is a bit dark, since he is pale blond.
  14. I bought Lilith last Black Friday, for the horns. The head is super CUTE without the horns. I was considering using it, but I could not shape the jaw and eyes as I wanted. Who would think the fearsome Lilith is just a tiny cute kitten? 😆 Now I wonder if Billie can use the horns... hmm...
