  1. Thank you to Gabrielle Riel and Lucifer Atheria and anyone else involved in creating this. I was glad I could catch it on it's last day, it's beautifully done! Wonderful little buildings to explore, the woodland too, and some toe-tapping medieval tunes to enjoy aswell:) I would have loved to get a passport stamp but for some reason it didn't dispense when touched. Nevermind, I have a snapshot for posterity:)
  2. Funny you should say that I was just thinking about this. They've said that but I don't think they can realistically stick to that idea anymore. The popularity of the new homes because both the homes and the environments have been so nicely done has meant many people, I think it's safe to say, will consider keeping their LH for a long time, rather than leaving and going off to get mainland any time soon (they might of course get mainland in addition to the LH). I'm sure there are many who do not consider their LH a starter home at all. Then again, maybe in a few years time when they are old news it might be different, who knows:)
  3. I wasn't thinking about the fees - that's not my job:) I don't work for LL. That would be up to LL. The thought would be that the parcels would be on regions separate from but near to Bellisseria of course, since Bellisseria is already built..you couldn't do it on existing land. I'm just throwing the idea out there - it would be up to LL to work out the details if it was at all possible.
  4. I was reading some of the comments about multiple home owners, and thinking about how many residents have their ideal of what they would like to have in a Linden Home - some want open water views, some want a house by a lake etc. etc. but there never seem to be enough prime spots. I had an idea - perhaps in the future LL could offer a custom style set up for an additional charge. Bear with me before you shout well that's what mainland is for...well, mainland can be really ugly even if you have your own plot the views can be terrible. Part of the appeal of the new homes is the awesome landscaping and views, the consistency of the themes. People want that (as verified by the high demand we've seen over the past couple of years), but they also want their ideal spot. So LL could offer a service whereby they build the home in theme on the plot, just like when building for Bellisseria, but they can recreate a prime location you've seen, or offer some modification for example the direction the home faces, or add a pond. Perhaps there could be a set list of what you can ask for, for each them. E.g. Campers options: - direction it faces (umm... that might be already in existence lol, I don't have a camper so I don't know) - water options - with pond, by river etc. - terrain - sand or grass And/or have the option to duplicate a plot you've seen somewhere, like camper plot at coordinates (,xx,xx,xx) on region XX. The modification would have to be within theme - no campers on snow or campers on a pier lol. So you can basically get that perfect spot you wish you would have been lucky enough to get but never could, because there are not enough of them made. It wouldn't be difficult to recreate them and/or tweak them. Kind of like building a custom PC online lol - you choose the 'parts' you want to put together. They would probably have to have less homes on the region in order to achieve this. That would also enable the options for more vegetation if someone wanted it. I think it would be viable since you would have a region with the same theme homes on it. Since there would be a charge for this (not quite sure how how that would work) it could be worth the time to do it. I know there are limits regarding LI that they have to consider. For the most part it wouldn't be adding too much more - most people seem to just want a particular spot they've seen - near a lighthouse, on a pond, with open water view, a bit more vegetation etc. I'm not sure what would happen when the person doesn't want the plot any more - open it up at a discount to anyone that wants it, or remove the build so the land is free for another custom home. Just throwing this out there - maybe it's something that LL could consider in a smaller more modified way somehow. But I'm sure there'd be people who would pay for something like this and it could add revenue for LL.
  5. At the end of the day each premium account is money to LL lab to help continue Second Life. So whether that is the same person with 10 accounts or 10 people with one account each, I doubt LL think they view them differently. And the system is that each premium account is allowed to have a Linden Home. So technically having multiple homes does not go against the rules. So I think, anyone can wish all they want that the system is different in order to prevent one person nabbing multiple houses in a region, but why would LL change the basic system? A premium account is a premium account, doesn't matter who holds it. Also, they can't know which alt belongs to which account holder, and to set up a system that would stop someone getting more than one LH would entail more complexity to the system and be time consuming to set up (if it was feasible), and I doubt very very much they will consider even going down that road. If however, the multiple home owner situation was causing multiple premium account holders to cancel premium, then maybe they would look at it, as then it would be affecting LL income. But I think it unlikely that people are dropping premium in sufficient numbers because of the multiple home owner issue. Hearing it a few times anecdotally doesn't mean it's a widespread enough occurrence. So, although I do sympathise with those trying to land a great spot feeling put out when they find a region with nearly all the homes owned by one person, and I do personally wish it was a more equal system in that sense, we have to be realistic and think about it from LL's perspective - I think it's highly improbably that it's going to change. It's less stressful to try and think of those homes as owned by different people rather than the same (it is in reality no different - 10 homes taken is 10 homes taken, regardless of who has them). What is more likely to get a result is for lots of premium account holders to tell LL what ideally they want to see regarding the homes (is it surrounded by more vegetation, more water, more open views? etc. etc., whatever it is that makes it the 'ideal' spot for you) because that is more easily achievable (not to say it will be done, but they can always factor it in for further themes and the future).
  6. Yes, the one at the last event was great, and I enjoyed this one too. I hope Abnor will put up another one after the final few themes have been released:)
  7. Abnor woz 'ere! (Abnor Mole's boat in the new stilt regions, SSPE1761)
  8. And one more for completion, to show all the Bellisseria lands as they stand now. It's fun to imagine how the themes will spread out in the future...I would guess that a couple of themes might go below the stilt and chalet regions, unless they plan to extend those themes there instead. Is it just my eyesight, or does it seem that there are more log homes than any other type, judging by land mass...? I'm still hoping for more Stilts on Piers with open views(there are not enough in my opinion and judging by demand) in case I want to move in the future lol. But they haven't finished building yet, so there could be more coming:)
  9. I was able to get some better shots of the new lands via the map. Yay!! It's so nice to be able to see all the new areas including the chalet region on which you can now see the big river that runs right through it... On the stilt pic, that empty space in the top right, there are no regions there yet, it's not a map glitch.
  10. Yes, I can see some of the new islands now, whereas I couldn't just a couple of weeks ago. It's still patchy, but it's an improvement!:)
  11. No - if it was you wouldn't be able to TP there. Nothing to do with LL.
  12. Yes, I thought that might be the case. I do hope they make more Pier Stilts going forward as those do seem very popular. There are not many in the new SSPE areas being built up around the Stilt areas:( There are a handful , but not much compared to the apparent demand...although of course we don't know their future plans...
  13. Interesting how no Stilt OW or Stilt Piers are showing..I wonder if they are currently the most popular...?
  14. There's also what I think is a bit of a surreal basement area... The note next to the LDPW vehicle is really funny
  15. Oh I also noticed a little canal like waterway somewhere yesterday, can't remember where, and I was thinking it will be great to go rowing along it sometime.
  16. There are a lot of small pools and the odd waterfall (just discovered one with a bridge which is really pretty). There is however a big river that runs through the center of the land mass, big enough for large boats and a number of vessels . I don't have any landmarks right now though, and it's such a shame you can't see it on the map. So I think there will be homes at the river side eventually as there is a lot of land at the river edge which has not been built on yet. Edit - just found it again - here's a quick pic of part of the river - you can see some homes on the other side, but more room by the edge for homes yet to come (I assume). It's like that on both sides of the river: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Ledgemont/108/37/32
  17. Maybe not a lot of regions have been released yet, but it doesn't seem like there's much activity on the Chalet areas. I wonder how popular these will be. Perhaps not enough people know about the release yet. I'm looking forward to seeing how everyone decorates here. I think it could look really pretty. I just hope they keep making more Stilts:)
  18. Wow that's beautiful. Which sky setting is used?
  19. Same here. I relied on it a lot in my exploring and adventures. And also for LH releases - I like to see what the layout of regions is. Doesn't affect me so much for the chalet's since I don't want one, but if I hope it gets fixed before the next releases . I'm not holding my breath though - the impression I got from interviews and stuff was that's not gonna be quick. 😬
  20. Couldn't resist posting a quick pic from inside..there's so much room...lots of tables to eat and have fun, and lots of beer!
  21. Thanks to the notifications from others in other threads regarding the release today of the chalet regions. There's a lot to explore!! I love this community center...It's beautifully done inside too. http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Muehlenbach/181/118/37
  22. Wow just found out about this new awesome spot - waves at a linden beach! - You can rez a surfboard and if you paddle out to a wave the animation changes to surfing the wave. I couldnt' get a good snapshot unfortunately just this quick pic. It's such an awesome addition to what I expect will be part of the stilt regions: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/SSPE1768/223/57/21
  23. Can you share the link to that interview please (or was it in chat?) If that's the case then so far we know two things for sure: - The theme will be related to 'Hidden Worlds' - The homes will have 'Unique Capabilities' (recent patch interview on SL Youtube) So bets are now open as to what the homes will look like!😁 My first thoughts are some kind of fantasy, like LOTR hobbit homes, as that wouldn't be too dissimilar from the first gen Elderglen homes. Or tree houses even (as you can't see them easily from the ground). Maybe somethng like this? (but less old and rickity looking lol): The SL18B logo certainly has a fantasy, not modern, feel to it. But I can't help thinking that basic structure will not be too far removed from what we've seen to date. A tree house like this would fit that.
