  1. Where do you like to shop for men's fashion > Clothing, Hair, Skin, Shoes. What do you think is missing from men's fashion? What do you wish your guy would wear! ;-) Ahem! Hint Hint Gary...scarves.
  2. When I leave the Second Life house I always wear my underwear regardless of wearing an alpha...just in case.. My Momma would be so proud. :matte-motes-silly:
  3. I agree, I don't feel comfortable representing a different ethnicity. I find this is a big problem when I have skins to blog, or find really great skin outside of my rl race. How should I showcase them? I would hate to misrepresent an image to such an extent that someone finds offense or feels I wasn't respectful. There are some really beautiful dark skins inworld. Alas my favorite were from Tete a Pied/5th & Oxford which is no longer open. Where to find skins for other races is a frequently asked question in Fashion Emergency, the skin you cited is hands down a big time favorite, as well as stores like Skin Within, Glance, and Uzuri.
  4. I think making them, or designers incorporating partial mesh into clothing is a great idea. Solves the problem of always tweaking shapes and layers, and still providing benefits of mesh!
  5. Thank you! Hoping to hear about new stores, and share tips with everyone!
  6. Where do you spend your time in Second Life, and how do you dress for it. When I go exploring with my partner we like to dress up in matching his & her outfits from BareRose.
  7. Second Life many roleplaying communities, they range from Victorian, to Steampunk. What's your favorite time period, and where do you shop for it?
  8. I'm always on the hunt for gowns out of the main stream. I find vintage (older releases), limited editons are great to use for events. I love to browse gowns on Second Life Marketplace, as you can always find a formal gown store you've never been to before there. What I want are more events to wear them to, and specifically Cocktail attire themed events, where EVERYONE wears a little cocktail dress.
  9. Excellent information. So many people when they begin getting involved in tweaking their look forget they can mix and match to this degree by unique using various layers of other outfits to create new looks. Really makes you stand apart when you can customise an outfit.
  10. Great use of layers and examples of how to mix and match!
  11. What fashion would you like to see more of inworld? Avant guarde? Fashion Forward? Casual? Business? Historical? What do you think needs more representation? I'm always happy to see various historical time period clothing, would love more 1920's. Dying for dystopian fashion. Steampunk is a love of mine.
  12. So glad to be here. I posted on the Linden Blog and my own blog Virtually Dressed. /waves to Sasy, Harper, Laylinha, and Frolic.
  13. While I love a good quality design in terms of well executed, thought out, designed, and texture work. I will forgive a bit if it's unique, and the designer has potential. What I really find I can't forgive is poorly thought out layer work. I might buy an outfit, but if it's missing glitch pants/shirt, or a jacket layer shirt doesnt extend down the layer properly I really will think twice before buying at the store again. I love to mix and match, so being able to use the bodice of a dress with a different skirt or pant is key.
