This goes hand in hand with my rant on top of the page, LL made a mistake by not designing a Generic Mesh body which all creators could have worked from, instead we have loads of different ones with all their own restrictions and no cross fitting, and causing massive headaches for 3rd party people having to make appliers, this was a stupid move on LL part.

I totally think LL got it wrong when they allowed anyone to make different mesh skins and bodies and not designed a universal body so every can work from and design their bodies and skins around it, now its become so silly that creators have to make loads of different appliers for one item to satisfied the needs, causing massive loads of work confusing for members and newbies. Someone, I know just bought a mesh body consisting of over 10k in total only to find out their are no applier kits ready for personal use of tattoos so one spends 10k only to find it you cannot purchase your own tattoo, this surely cannot be right, If LL made a Generic Body then Designers could have work on that. and saved lots of headaches for members.

Complexity issues are still a problem in SL, Sim crossing is still a problem, Mesh Avatars I think LL made a mistake by not to have a basic generic one for people., how many newbies or poor folk can afford a mesh body? Although I agree Sansar is great for those to goto a new platform, I think SL does need major upgrades and investment for those that will stay in many big players have left SL, and that is not a good thing.

That not very nice if someone has a condition like that, if you're talking about the separation from an idiot to the person that may have difficulties then I agree there are many Trolls and idiots hell bent on coming into sl to be nasty, but at the same token, I knew of a mental institution that used SL as positive therapy for those that could not live a normal life in the RL but could in SL.

I'm thinking of getting a mesh body (man) but as a tattoo creator I have 100s of tattoos and I normally show them off on my basic body, because I'm the owner of them if I bought a mesh body rather than have a HUd for each of the tattoos, could I use the ID number to add to the mesh body or is there any other way I can use them?

Tari,how can one look for something that's working, something as major fix as this should be published in a massive way, I know LL has the ability to flash a screen message on everyone's screen, so why not do that for such a major fix. their loads of DJ and Club forums groups and none knew about this, would it have been that difficult for LL to post a message on them , then let word and mouth take over, rather than wait for 100s to go on MP and buy new boards, which I hasten to add would be a nice little profit for LL's

Tari you seem to know that this was happening, then please explain why many Shoutcast board makers were not? was it small print hidden somewhere? this is a major significant fixed and should have been publicized more, even firestorm staff were not aware, so you think LLs gave ample notice show me where it was located

I totally agree with any security fix, that is not the issue here, the issue is was their ample notice given by LL about this, I know many that were not aware of this, that's my rant

Its just come to my attention that LL change their server scripts on how Shoutcast's broadcasts leaving loads of clubs and folks in the SHT ,why did not LL give notice of such action.

Am not that knowledgeable on mesh bodies, but as a custom tattoo artist, I keep getting the requests for tattoos from all different people with different mesh bodies. so my question is why the hell did LL's not make a standard mesh body and keep the traditional as well to offer members the choice. seems stupid to have all these typesconfusing people as to what to get, and being restricted whats your views???

First of all I like to say that if your on a budget that winamp is ok to use, I am a RL and do not use sam or Virtual DJ although i have tried them, for a beginner Winamp is fine it's free and legal to use, I would say that 99% of sam users are illegal downloads. With Win amp you can get free plugins, these range from song to song fades to an enhancement of the sound, enable mix on your windows with giving the option of Mic\Music with fade. another good tool to use is a database of mp3 this you can help you find music requests fast, As for playlists for your sets, if you playing at a club that has a specific genre then try and stick to it, if you get a request that is total opposite to your genre politely decline it. If you playing blues, then a rap request will kill the crowd and you. go and hear other dj's What I do I create a template of my 2hr set days before, I listen to it offline make the changes, then use that as a basis, you change on the flow to the crowd live. If you can converse with your crowd, I hate when I see dj's leave it all the host, try not to do that, interact with the crowd, If you need to ask me anything, feel free to IM inworld greek wingtips

I do agree that companies should make profits, but I think the quality of service has declined, we now have ghosting\complecity issues with avatars, massive lag issues, the idiotic to allow makes of mesh bodies to impose their own appliers without a general LL universal mesh body to allow designers to work with. Quality has dropped and to make a profit is not right.
