thanks for you input as I tend to agree with you, but what i dont understand is I belive there is massive potentual in 3D worlds, when I look at facebook and other networking sites, I see only 2 dimensional, The fact the SL can offer as much bewilders me that no massive Company had looked at this and invest in the abitly to make this a massive social network site, the fact aslo I belive masses are leaving is the stabitly of the viewer and the bugs that consitantly bear on us, there is not day when I crash without any warning, and the bugs I encounter whiles in SL, I could write a chapter on it LOL I def enjoying being in SL but how much stress and playabitly there is, I wonder when the the status que will diminsish and call it day. It needs a CE to take the reins of SL and re-vamp it sort out the bugs and of course make a profit but offer the service to go with it, taking profits without a quality service will be a downfall and in the end I think

From the days when there was 69k people logging on, god knows what it is now, but for sure it def has dropped to what I think is critical levels, the other day myself and my partner decided we go and look for somewhere to dance, I could not belive how many places were empty and I not talking about low turn out times, I think we hopped to about 7 clubs then decided to quit looking, I own a club but its more for my 24\7 blues radio and a place for newbies to chill out,I aslo sell tats on market place and at my club, again sales are so low to the extent of maybe one a month, dispite my add's I really want to know what LL's are doing about this, keeping us in the dark and thinking we cannot see this and the amount of friends that have left SL either for new worlds or just quit dues to the cost, Its about time LL's told us what thier future plans are and how they tend to get things back up to the levels it was, and before anyone say I am moaning, please dont forget I do pay £££ to play this game so I have a right to express my views, I really dont want to leave SL as I have made many friends which is the main factor I am here, but thier will come a time when I will also hang my boots up, I like to here anyone views or better still any LL's employee's as the projected future plan of SL

As most agree the search engine is usless in the SL veiwer, is there anyone that could give me on anp hints and tips on how to improve my standing in the SL serach engine for my shops. any help would be great thank you

before when I use to place a texture on a prim and resize it it would hold its contraints and size up as the whole texture now for some reason its bloody duplicating the texture into small sq's this never use to happen before since the last bloody viewer upgrade, I can manually adjust it butI dont want to do this, before I could just strech the prim, is their a setting in the viewer I can tick any help would be great please

people seem to forget it might be a game but most pay for that prilage and if you pay for something you should get a reasonable service, I am afriad this is not the case with the new viewer or it's flawed search engine, yes while crashed occured the past most were due to slow performance PC's now days we have faster Pc's and grahics cards, so I agree the most crashes are due to the viewer and not the PC's.

hats all well and good, but how about all us shop keepers that were relying on the search engine for sales, thats gone completely out of the window it's like trying to sell sand in the desert forget,all these upgrades for the viewer is ok but how about fixing the damm search engine most know it dont work, either revert back to the old one or fix it instead of all these little bells and whistle upgrades, am sure folks want a a working seach engine than a camera fix. oh well blood boiling best stop here LOL

Due respect to Dartagan sherpherd’s views, I tend to disagree Marketplace has been push through quietly by LL at the expense of in house business ,sim owners and renters and shop vendors,the Fact we don’t not have a level playing due to the crap search engine shop keepers in world can really Only rely on word and mouth to really get their product out as the advertising in search is a joke. As for marketplace being a threat to in world shops, yes I believe it does, not only to the shop keepers But the knock-on effect it has on everyone from sim owners down to clubs whatever. All business in world reply upon each other in some shape or form, when one gets knocked off It’s perch then it will most def have a profound effect on the others. All we are asking is a level Playing field. As looking at the comments I do agree and never said those were the only reasons people leave SL, yes I agree Rl play a role and menay other reasons too, but I focusing on the aspect of the viewer and the problems people are having with I work in IT in the RL world and belive me I have tried tweaking the prefrances in the viewer to no avail so yes some probs are tweaking other it's the viewer and not the persons PC. I am not knocking market place as I have used it many times too, I think it have its place and its easy acess for those who want to shop from it are good, but it also has its fit falls, yesterday I bought two items from the same vendor only not recived anything in world, the name on the market did not exsist in search and the location of his store gone, so thats my LL's gone here dsafeguards should be in place. I like Sl but it has gone downwards, if I am wrong in my estimation and from what I hearing from other avatars that are leaving sl ,then maybe LL should stick the ticker number back onto the viewer to see how people are online, I recall around 8..0GMT it used to be around 50-60K wonder what it is now? reminder again: we are paying customers, thats important to remember.

I used to own a chain of shops selling clothes and art work, but like many others we fill LL has let us down, one with the crap search engine in the viewer, I used advertise around 1000 a week for my shops, but once the new viewer kicked in could never find anything of my shops even if I typed the same title,many shops have closed due to LL pushing marketplace, this has a knock on effect on sim owner renting shops, and if the fal of shop rents has lead to many owners giving up their Sims as this was a good way of subsidizing the rent, My Questions are simple: 1: Is LL going to fix this damm seach engine as it is crap, my words but many would agree. 2: many are leaving SL, due the many problems that have rencently happened since the viewer came about, crashing frequently ,blurred av,s bad lagging, complicated searches, and so for to name a few. 3: LL has to really get their act together if they want to retain the people already in SL and not lose them, the other worlds as not far behind and like the real world company's in IT some which I will not name were the top of the list and now have been supass, my advice to LL is listen to you customers and learn from it, one seems to forget that we are paying customers, your thoughts on this would be welcomed. greek wingtips
