  1. humans have always had something in them that makes them excited about clothing.. a lot think it is sex that sells when really it is sexy that sells..nude avatars are more boring than ones dressed in nice sexy lingerie.. even something as tiny as a belly chain or bangles or a garter or even tattoo's can dress up and change how someone looks at a nude body.. covering the body would excite us more than it showing up uncovered..uncovering it slowly..now thats like unwrapping a present hehehe..covered excites us because now our curiosity is aroused.. it can be more dangerous than fully exposing someones body.. if you ask me apes would probably be more curious or agressive if they wore undies and bra's hehehehehe nudity to us is only a big deal because a lot of us were told it was over and over by the people around us as we grew from the nude little children feeling free when our diapers came off and too young to have the worries yet ..really i think what makes us look sexy is not nudity..but the jewelry we wear to intice our mates..sometimes that jewelry can be as simple as a bikini for men or a pair of sexy boxers on a man for us.. so if people feel north america is doing it wrong..well i guess it all depends on what some feel is sexy..
  2. wouldn't that be suffering instead of pain that enlightens? since pain is only a small part of suffering.. it doesn't take a wise person to cause suffering..anyone on any level can cause it..it takes a wise person to be able to deal with it and learn from it and use it to their advantage to gain more experience in life.. Hence, that which does not kill us only makes us stronger. *winks*
  3. i always picture something like a few kids bored hanging out or older bored losers just hanging out with their computers having some laughs at other peoples expenses because thats about all the fun they can muster up in their booooooring lives.. it's actually one of the few times i pictures humans behind the avatars..that or when they are drama queens or aZZhats..
  4. Ceka Cianci : I take off my wizard hat Try Bare Rose..she has a bunch of things i believe there..i know she has a huge selection of different types of clothes actually.. that is if it is still around..i haven't been there in awhile myself..but the selection was huge and great prices..

Yes, for some strange reason, North Americans have big hangups about nudity and sex. whats the population of everyones country? anyone with 250+ million or more raise your hands \o
  6. i love the bag pipes..i bought the braveheart soundtrack because of them..it's so relaxing hehehe and i agree..i am sure that a lot of them were influencing each other back then as well =) this just came to mind today..this doesn't have anything to do with screamers or acdc or the who or anything hehehe it's just something my father told me one time about an album of his.. well really i was watching waynes world and wayne said something in the movie about this one album that everyone was supposed to have had hehehe.. it was a peter frampton live album.. he said something like.."who doesn't have that..they issue that album to everyone when they move to the suburbs" or something silly like that.. so i had to see if my father had it ..and sure enough he did LOL so i asked my dad about it..he said this song came on at least once a day and for at least a decade and it was played at least once every party he was ever at and that just about everyone he knew at the time had it LOL he said it has to be the longest one hit wonder of all time hehehehe..he said he had more hits than that but it just felt like a one hit wonder LOL i just figured for the fun of it why not post it up hehehe do you feel like we do? to stay on topic some more screams..really just more classics but they do scream in there hehehe
  7. sorry i sort of clumped them all together i guess with their brother george hehehe..i never really knew all their ages..i just remember doing a search a few years back on the youngs and remembered something about them all being involved a lot earlier than i thought.. it was their brother george that had me doing the clumping them all together.. he was in a band called the easy beats which was around back then before or around the time the who was born already putting out hits.. i just remember something about one of the bands before acdc having a sound that was real close to ACDC but missing that bon scott voice that i love so much hehehe i just found both bands on you tube. the easy beats which you can sort of hear that tint of ACDC rythme beat and feel sound like acdc had ..then marcus hook roll band which sounds really close to acdc without bon scott.. i think if anyone had a big influence on ACDC's sound it was the older brother and whatever and whoever influenced him.. maybe the beatles and what that brought out in him.. i don't know..i just know i love their sound and they energize me everytime i hear them..and now finding these bands videos..i am really loving listening to marcus hook roll band.. =) anyways here are those two bands..i just find rock history really neat and how things were before we ever knew they existed.. Marcus Hook Roll Band was one of the many studio projects done by former Easybeats guitarists Harry Vanda and George Young. It featured George Young (vocals, guitar, piano, bass), Harry Vanda (lead guitar, vocals), Alex Young (saxophone), Angus Young (guitar), Malcolm Young (guitar), Freddie Smith (bass), Ian Campbell (drums), Johns Proud (bass), and Howard Casey (saxophone). ETA: Sorry i just had to put this one in here from ACDC ..can't help myself..i guess i've just always been hooked on them since i found them in my fathers album collection back when i used to sneak and play with his turn tables we were not allowed to touch hehehe.. I wish i learned more about them sooner..but this thread has me digging even deeper into a band i love..So thank you OP for inspiring my deeper search..i am learning just how much they had to do with so much of rock history and i love finding it all =) anyways one of my faves and sorry for straying the way i have..when music subject pops up..they are just one of the things i think most of when it comes to rock and energy and all that good stuff that comes with it hehehehe
  8. i've seen a few reasons why people put those in there.. some are just ignorant and think it is actually true..mainly because some other ignorant person told them it was lol some do it to avoid drama.. some do it to avoid people some do it because some are just drama queens this is about all the ones i've heard that i can remember anyways hehehe
  9. Scylla Rhiadra wrote: Ceka Cianci wrote: it is very confusing if we look at it from a private residents point of view..because all three definitions are telling those that wish to open a business or have a business or something that is for public use..look here to see where you fit in.. and if you are not sure..you better check to make sure you are not operating like one of these or you will get a rating of one of these or moved if we find out you are and are doing it in the wrong place heheheh .. in other words private residents and their private homes don't fall under the ratings defenitions. nothing has changed from what it was before for private residents.. we could never be nude or have sex on General lands..it's always been disney.. You'll probably remember, back on the RA forum, when Jig's private residence on a Mature sim, which doubled as an art gallery (but which was not advertised) was ARed for "nudity." I've heard of other instances of the same. What is most worrisome, I think, about the way in which they've retired the wiki entry, and mothballed the discussions with Blondin, is that it was there that the important information about how the ratings changes would affect private citizens were worked out, and made public. If one were ARed for having sex in one's own residence in a mature sim, or indeed even in engaging in BDSM, one could point (however futilely, perhaps) to Blondin's public assurance that, as you say, the ratings system was primarily about the marketplace and advertising, and that they did not, in M regions anyway, apply to private content and behaviours that were kept behind closed doors. So, I think that the changes that Pussycat has noted are worrisome. I don't know that they represent a "real" change in LL policy towards private behaviours and content, but I do think that they return us, at least potentially, to the uncertainty that we were facing in the run-up to the introduction of Zindra and AO. i'm just gonna use commercial for merchants and places that had to be moved to zindra or rate up to adult rating and residential for private residents to kind of simplify it.. so i don't have to keep typing out so many things on the commercail side.. anyways..the three main things that separate commercial from residential are this.. if it hosts, advertises, or publicly promotes..then it is commercial.. if it doesn't.. then it is residential.. if jig was doing any of those three then she would have fallen into commercial..because her home was now a business or open to the public.. i don't remember all that well what went on back then..it's been so long.. i'm just saying that if she was hosting the content..then that could have been why she was ARed..that is open to the public and not considered behind closed doors.. it's not all just about the search..people walking passed seeing a sign for her gallery.. i remember the thread itself as far as it happening..but i just don't remember any details that went on in it.. as far as blondin and what he said..i really myself don't even look at any of his things he has said in the past..i mean i do but it's not what i really fall back on for anything.. i may have back then because in RA when the definitions first came out i was pretty confused with them like everyone was back then.. then after reading and them over and over and bouncing back and forth from audio files and looking at other lindens talking about them..just a bunch of things really..one day it just clicked and all made sense.. i remember this one line from the old FAQ's and LL saying nothing would change for residents..meaning residential..where a lot took it as them meaning everyone.. i can't remember it word for word becauase it was a couple years ago hehehe.. if you ask me if they would have just called them the commercial maturity ratings then so many people would not be wondering so much what they are reading.. then if they needed something for general and mature residential..they could have did that as well.. or even better..each rating given it's own page with commercial and then below each one a residential as well.. just saying maturity ratings has everyone thinking they are speaking about everyone.. thats lawyer talk if you ask me..my father used to tell me..you can try to reach some of the people talking all fancy if you want but you are more likely to reach them all if you speak to everyone on the same level.. i admit they are very confusing..thats why i am in every thread i see that comes up.. i keep hoping i can maybe find a better way of trying to explain them in each one.. i don't think LL is trying to be confusing to anyone..i think they just don't really know how to talk to us or they feel they have to word it like the laws word it or adding something easier to understand may void what they were trying to put up there..i don't know.. but when i read them after it all clicked..it all was very clear after that..not confusing anymore.. wow am i rambling or what hehehe..sorry i just got home from work and am running on only two hours of sleep before work yesterday..so if i strayed all over or have letters scrambled a little..it's just from being tired hehehe

I nearly missed Del's post too. Please accept my apologies. it's ok really heheheh i get kind of creative in my ways when it's close to bed time hehehehhe i was just checking to see if i was on ignore or not is all.. do we even have that in these forms?
  11. Scylla Rhiadra wrote: Um . . . you haven't actually read the OP for this thread, have you Ceka? Pussycat isn't desperately seeking an answer to where to find the best hair, or how to unpack that box she just bought: she raised an issue regarding changes to the ratings system. She did so to generate discussion. There isn't a single question mark in her OP. In any case, if short and sweet answers are what an OP wants, he or she would be better to post next door, at that place called, surprisingly . . . "SL Answers." This place, on the other hand, is called "General Discussion." We have discussions here. And by "agenda," you don't perhaps mean "opinion," do you? LOL look what it took to get a reply out of you.. serioulsy does it have to get to where i push a button for you to even respond to one of my posts? i had to get into the drama before you would even consider a response.. thanks but this was a test of the dramafication broadcasting system..if this was a real emergency we all know where to go now....but..this was only a test LOL
  12. Actually most of them were already playing professionally before the who were born as a band...
  13. this isn't getting epic..this is getting distractiing from actual answers to the OP's question..it's no wonder why these threads keep popping up still wondering what the maturity definitions are saying..the answers get burried in the middle of the threads once someone wishes they said something else or that they need to change them to this.. good questions and answers were flowing well..then agendas had to be tossed in so we can have pages of pages of off topic blanketing to burry them in the middle again like most all of them in the past..
  14. LOL like maybe what 2% at most don't mention bdsm? even ones that don't have any bdsm mention bdsm because it ups their hits in search.. it's one of thee major keywords that is very popular to use because it places them in those search to get noticed..
  15. i've been to sims that say i am banned that i was not banned from..sometimes it's just sl being a pain in our assets.. i always make sure i am banned first before i go to all the trouble..if it was from a tp to the sim and getting something saying i am banned..if there is a sim next door..i tp there and see if i can walk in.. so far 3 bans and none of them were actual bans..i walked right in.. so it may just be SL messing with you instead of you actually being banned.. just something to check out to be sure is all..
  16. i believe because the old GD was so filled with dramas that some decided to move to other media maybe..i remember some saying they were in so many words..fed up hehehe it was a hot house especially twards the end.. thats what happens with auto moderation bot forums i guess though hehehe
  17. ya they should have used something more along these lines because it doesn't have so much slang in it..sorta kina i guess inaway Oo
  18. favorite screamer of all time that did it with no effort to scream..he was just that good at it LOL who you ask? who else but Bon scott *winks* i just used this video beause it shows they are timeless...with Bon scott hehehe..the other guy is a bon scott wanabe tries to hard screamer that is gonna hurt his throat if he doesn't stop soon guy..
  19. one of my most favorite screams comes in at around 2:59 when Merry Clayton's voice pops into tiny litle screams..she has such a good voice =)
  20. Deej Kasshiki wrote: It's great when lawyers, marketing types and middle managers get together! :smileywink: Wow, I haven't seen anything like that since I wrote for a newspaper years ago. Sheesh... they expect SL forum contributors to follow all those guidelines, huh? Yeah, if I was on their payroll! We're still talking about documentation for a game, right? Good luck with that LL.* *(Oops, LL is not an approved way to refer to Linden Lab ©, aka Linden Research, Inc.) i thought that section was for giggles when reading it..they should have added..It is "Linden Lab" not "Linden Labs" with the s. hehehehe
  21. Pussycat Catnap wrote: Ceka Cianci wrote: well M is still unrestricted for the private resident/home owner so to speak.. But where does it say that? We all assume that, but where does it say it, now? They've expressly denied all of the old conversations that never said it either, but hinted at it. Now, it neither says nor hints at that. i don't assume the rules.. show me where they are talking about restrictions to private residents? i don't see anything anywhere that says we can't do any of the things we want on moderate.. show me the rules that say what we can't do before looking for what we can..see if you can find anything.. because if it's not in the rules then we can do it.. it would be in the TOS someplace..you won't find it in the maturity definitions because those are not to private residence..those are for merchants and places reaching out to the public..
  22. Deltango Vale wrote: "just the land owners with search adds or showing events and stuffs like that to advertise whats on their lands are restricted." ------------------------------------------------- The devil, of course, is in the details. Where does vermilion end and burnt orange begin? How does one subvivide a rainbow? i was showing that private residents are still on unrestricted land if they lived on moderate lands..lets call them residential areas for the sake of it.. if you look at land owners using any way of reaching out to the public as say an industrial park so to speak..they all would be under the restrictions.. if you are asking what their restrictions would be and how to separate them by which ones go to which industrial park..general ,moderate or adult.. that would determine where they lined up with in the maturity definitions or in oother words the restrictions..
  23. Deltango Vale wrote: Before LL got itself tangled up in the 'adult' policy, there were two maturity ratings: PG (restricted) and M (unrestricted). It worked just fine. Notice the binary nature of restricted v unrestricted. That's why it worked. The nightmare began when LL tried to construct an analog rating system of PG (restricted), M (kind-of-sort-of-maybe restricted) and A (unrestricted). well M is still unrestricted for the private resident/home owner so to speak.. just the land owners with search adds or showing events and stuffs like that to advertise whats on their lands are restricted.. the business owners merchants and places open to the public that use the channles that are on those lists in maturity definitions are restricted.. on mature as a private home owner..i could do all the things listed on the adult list and anything as general as i want and not be restricted.. as i said before..if we had to qualify to be able to move to a certain rating..that Moderate private home owners would not qualify for adult rated land..no matter what kink or fetish or body chopping or orgy or shoot'em up went on in there house.. they could qualify for General though if they toned it down..but never Adult rated..
  24. Rule number #4 the double tap TP that or if you use something like mysty tool you could try to disrupt it..you should get a dropdown with a list of items after you click disrupt..if it's called firestorm it shoudl show up in the list ..then just choose it..
  25. mesh is just another additive it won't be the main course.. it will be nice for some things but we are still gonna be using the others.. maybe mesh as a base then the others for details..things like that.. i wouldn't worry about mesh taking over..i think they all will help enhance each other..
